Only two three years of getting on good terms with the principals and getting good grades before they decided to say ”we don’t want this kid to get in trouble, this is a good kid with potential” and actually start acting (and even taking my advice of harsher punishments like moving the bully to another class and after school detention instead of in school detention getting them out of class. It’s called trauma. Get that child in therapy, and love on him, and give him all the patience and support he never had and I guarantee he will transform. I’m not saying he doesn’t have ADHD, but you can’t see it here. I don’t know any child who wouldn’t act like him dealing with that as a mother.
Even at the hospital, he needs someone to sit with him and chat and give him attention. He is clearly acting out because he’s been through it and wants someone to pay attention to him. I feel for him, and I bet if red dress woman who was with him at the gas station was there, she could manage him. When he was there with her kids he sat quietly with all the chaos going on. She's all memememe and the poor kid is this and that. Poor kid doesn't stand a chance with that woman. Clearly "mom" never wanted the poor kid and he will think thats his fault. That mom's probably got an undiagnosed processing disability, too. I wonder if she'd make better choices if she was more aware of her own frustration. That quickness to anger could be bpd or a bpd like trait of asd.
I am aware of my quickness to anger and frustration that swells when things are not perfect. I take my autistic behind away from a situation to calm down and walk or smoke it off. She could probably get use from walking that anger off. Getting the blood flowing helps unblock that mind.
She could be npd, though. If the dad passed the disability genetically, he might have been manipulated and easily controlled by a npd partner. That gaslighting she attempts is familiar to red flags I've dated.

When the kid said that he didn't want his mom to go away forever I understood immediately what it was like under that roof with that woman. My mum used to say things like "if you tell anyone anything that could get me in trouble, cps will take you away from me forever. Is that what you want? No? Then behave." And as a kid you don't ever want someone you depend so entirely and completely on to be taken from you even if you're told that you'll go somewhere better because all your life you're told that that good things are never guaranteed, that people who are adopting dont want difficult kids from broken homes, that every bad thing that happens is your birth right and you just have to stick it through and make it to the other side more resilient than before and you're just.... 10.

Abortion is a selfless and kind act. It’s a medical procedure that terminates a pregnancy. Discontinuing pregnancy when you shouldn’t be having a child should be applauded. It’s a mature choice. It’s also very personal.
Maybe if this crazy abusive psycho of a woman had an abortion, a child would have been spared horrific abuse. Poor little Brenden’s soul could have been born into a different body, with different parents, with different circumstances, and could have had a beautiful life.
The reality is…The more abortion and birth control are limited…the more you’re going to see situations like this. It’s sad. Quality over quantity of life.

Not really. It's pretty common. Strangers help kids pretty reliably. If it's two adults fighting, most strangers won't get involved because they don't know what is going on, but if a parent is abusing their kid in public like this, most people will do what they can to help the kid. You'll notice it wasn't 1 person stepping up, it was most of the people in the store. And then they called other strangers (the police) to come help as well.

She also doesn’t seem to understand his disabilities aren’t a free pass to abuse him. I kind of got annoyed how hard they harped on him being a difficult child at first bc the clips of him in the store and waiting outside with the other families he seemed like a little boy who wants his mom to play/pay attention to him (by having her chase him around) and craves socialization (by the way he immediately clung to the other people by physically holding onto some of them especially the woman in red and how he just wanted to play and be a kid outside when he literally just got beat). It was clear he has some diagnosis which would be tough for a competent parent to handle, but his mom also seemed to have some issues so she is already less equipped then most. I’m glad she has workers but all that shows is that they’ve had issues in the past and are in the system now. So I’m on the fence on what’s best for the boy in this one. It’s clear he loves his mom and doesn’t understand the severity of the situation at all but do you educate and monitor them for awhile and they reunite or do you just lock her up and put him in a foster home? There’s pros and cons on both sides and I really would hate to be the person making such a hard choice. I just hope whatever the outcome they’re both doing well. That is no way to live as a parent and no way to be treated as a child. She won’t ever take accountability if she doesn’t admit what she did wrong.

The reality is the highest threat to a child are their parentd and other close relatives but we have to pretend parents are try their best and just need information and resources that's often not the case in reality sometimes they just don't love their kids and don't care about their well being.

I have an Autistic Daughter. At age 4 she would scream bite her hands and kick in the floor when it was time to leave the store. Mainly the aquarium pet store. I would take her there cause she loved the fish. I would pick her up, kicking and screaming bawling my eyes out because we both were upset. I never beat her or screamed at her. Just reinstated it’s time to go and picked her up and removed her. One nice stranger gave me a hug after she was loaded in the car. She could see I was crying. She put her arms around me and said “ It’s ok mama, we’ve all been there”. That moment is etched in my mind. My daughter is now 23 and a special Olympics world Athlete. ❤️

Not a single person there had ever lived a day in her shoes. My parents were literally INSTRUCTED by psychologists and behavioral therapists at a very reputable hospital to throw my brother on the floor and restrain him immediately when displaying behavior like this child did. I'm not saying this is right but I do feel for the mom, especially if these were instructions she was given in dealing with her son's tantrums. I am the mom of an autistic son with ADHD and GOOD resources for dealing with their behavior are few and far between. He obviously isn't afraid of her, and loves her, if that's all he kept crying for and asking for was his mom. People don't have a clue what happens in families, and it's easy to assume the worst when you have no experience into those lives. While it's always important to report possible abuse, we must also try better as a society to be less judgemental about situations that you do not understand.

I sympathize with the situation. I do hope the kid and the mother get the help they need. Growing up with autism, I was the same way as the child. I didn’t know how to behave in the real world. There were moments my mother got so overwhelmed with me. But she did so much for me. She gave up her social life and everything just so I could get the help I need. My mom is so amazing in helping me become the person I am. I’ve just graduated college and I can socialize well, which I couldn’t do if I was with another mom. Happy Mother’s Day mom😊❤
