  • Ange Postecolgou has had a great start at Tottenham Hotspur, even though he was not perhaps the most notable name associated with the North London club.As a player, he learned his footballing philosophy from his dad and from playing under legendary Hungarian football player, Ferenc Puskas.
However, throughout his coaching career, Postecolgou has overachieved, and improved teams to a great degree once he is given time to do so, rarely failing at any of the clubs he joined. Postecoglou has won plenty of titles in Australia, he conquered Japan with Yokohama Marinos, he won the Asian Cup in 2015 with Australia, and he won a domestic treble with Celtic. Ange Postecoglou will revolutionize Tottenham, and here’s why.

Jose was accurate when he said he never felt a connection with Spurs and their fans, what is also correct is the fans share the same feeling towards him. Spurs fans feel more connected to Ange in just 5 games than they ever did with Conte, Jose or Nuno, all they need as a club is someone committed to their ideals and Ange is absolutely that. Great person, doesn't let any drama cloud him like all their other coaches including Poch, basically the perfect Spurs coach.

One of the best researched Postecontent videos I've seen. I actually learned a lot of new things despite knowing of him since he was at South Melbourne. Some interesting facts about when Ange was at Brisbane, in his first season, he took the club that was 3rd the year before, to second last (9th). It looked like Ange was a failure and made the club worse for a good 12 months, including sacking high profile Brisbane players. Then his 36 match unbeaten run happened, but what is even more interesting, it ended with a 5 match losing streak. Australian clubs thought we had the antidote to Ange, until Ange kept persisting and then Brisbane went on to win their second A League Championship

I really liked the part about mentality, players being asked to do the same thing again and again regardless of whether it works out. If you look at Liverpool or City a lot of these players have that mentality. The amount of times we’ve seen Ederson or Allison give away a goal trying to play out and then not 30 seconds later they’re doing it again. TAA at Liverpool not being afraid to bomb forward every time he concedes a goal. It’s what makes these teams so dangerous, they know it works, they know they will concede occasionally because of it, but they know it will help them outplay their opponents more often than not so they keep doing the same “mistakes”.

Ive been following Ange since 2007 when he had that TV interview with Foster, there is also a bit of an interesting media story that of course is too obscure for you to know about
Ange from 2007-2009 was picked up by Fox Sports Australia to work on their football coverage, because fox sports were all Graham Arnold friendly media and they were at war with Craig Foster at the time who worked at SBS and was highly critical of Arnold
Fox Sports mission was for Graham Arnold to have world domination as a coach, so when postecoglou had success and was leading Australia into the 2018 world cup, it was the Graham Arnold media who turned on him and tried to get him fired knowing Arnold was next in line to coach Australia
they eventually got their way but they shot themselves in the foot, it was the best thing to happen to Postecoglou, he won the J League title (Arnold couldn't win a single J League game), and he is doing what Graham Arnold was supposed to do

Ange has been proving doubters wrong all his football life. I really got into football when Ange revived my home town Brisbane Roar. He showed the door to veterans like Craig Moore and brought in young energy players who were led by Matt Mackay and Thomas Broich. He copped some flak from the media dropping the team's 'best' players but it didn't matter. It was a magical period and the 2011 Roar championship comeback win 0-2 down in extra time is the greatest football game in Australian history (ruclips.net/video/SS49ue3v-pQ/видео.html). They never gave up and more importantly didn't panic, stuck to Ange's tactics and maintained possession and built up play. As detailed in this video Ange never changes what has brought him success, I've followed him ever since and I have no doubt he will do the same in the EPL, everyone is saying at best top 6 but Ange's only desire is to win. In Ange we trust.

Tottenham are a vibes-based football club and Ange has all the right vibes. I think most Spurs fans will be sad to see him go when he wins a couple of titles and cups, but they'll probably take this deal!

I doubt that he would go anywhere else, unless he fell out with the management.
When his team has won the competition, the only way a coach can go to a higher level is to change where you are.
The English club competition is arguably the highest level, and with a club that has the resources, so I expect he would stay.

I told my friend that Ange was the best business which Spurs has done this season. His nature is more like Klopp always keeps team together and very human & understanding in nature. He can get the best out of players. Whatever he has done till now has been crazy. If he stays with spurs and spurs back hik properly they can win few trophies.
Kane would have benefited the most if he stayed. But for Spurs it was much better that Kane left. Many players were hiding behind Kane. Now that he is gone players are stepping up. Still a very young team. Tgey couldn't have got a perfect manager. Just trust the process.
