      Whilst it would be nice to win a trophy, I'm just so glad that we're playing attacking football again. That was always what drew me to the TV with spurs. Whether it was Defoe and Keane or Lennon and Bale, berbatov, kane. We always had good attacking players and made good use of them. The last few years since poch left have been painful to watch at times but I really like ange, both as a manager and a person. He's always open and honest and seems like he has a real passion for the game. Even if we don't win a trophy I think I'll still be happy if we have a good highlight reel to look back on. COYS

    As a Villa fan, on a human level - This guy is probably the most likeable manager I've ever seen in the premier league. @@seemourbutts6679 yes, he did say that, but he didn't say it to say that richarlison's mental health struggles were, and i quote, "a load of nonsense" nor did he say richarlison "needs to man up". his point was that everyone has problems; footballers included. he harped on about how both the general public and footballers themselves fall into the trap of believing they're immune to such issues just because they're good at football or because they have a lot of money, thus leading to footballers not seeking help for problems in their life as themselves and the people around them simply don't believe it. it was clearly a message of support, i don't know how you've managed to spin that into a diss at richarlison but regardless your gold medal for mental gymnastics will be in the mail soon

      @Charles-qn1bt Год назад +13

      @@glorioustrump245 I'm an Aussie (AFL fan) who has never stuck with any English club. My earliest memories are sitting up late with my dad to watch the Spurs win 2 FA Cup finals with Glen Hoddle, Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles... I loved watching the Liverpool highlights throughout the 80's with Dalglish, Souness, Hansen, Whelan, Rush, Barnes, Beardsley, Grobelaar and Aussie winger, Craig Johnston. Always hated Man United and barracked against them. Quite liked Arsenal when Arsene Wenger took over and had success with Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Overmars, Ljungberg, Petit, Cole, Campbell, Adams and Seaman. A good mate of mine that I worked with loved the Gooners, so I kind of followed them half-heartedly and vicariously though him. Briefly followed Leeds Utd when they made their Champions League run through to the semis with Aussies, Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka. But like I said already, I've never really felt strongly attached to any EPL club. However, Ange joining the Spurs as their manager has made this a no-brainer for me. I'm coming "home"... I've decided to barrack for the club who first captured my interest way back in 1981. I always had something of a soft spot for Spurs, with players like Gascoigne, Lineker, Waddle, Les Ferdinand, Des Walker, Klinsmann, Sheringham, Anderton, Keane, Defoe, Bale... But their matches were rarely screened here: it was always Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. But now that Ange is making history as the first Aussie manager in the Premier League and has vowed to get them playing attacking football, I am happy to jump on board and watch all their games. Count me in! It only took me 40+ years to settle on a English club, but here I am. Finally! 🙂 COYS
