One of my two all time favourite players. Ji Sung Park is one of the G.O.A.T. s. His footwork and precision in playing/execution are brilliant eye candy to watch! Gary's so self-deprecating it's refreshing to see. He knows he was limited in natural ability but worked so hard to be a quality right back, his overlapping runs and crossing got better and better as he developed. His character and will to win was there from the start though.
There are a lot of "mediocre" players on Man U that rubbish on paper but starts every week under SAF yet they do achieve great things. He is the very best example to bring the best out of people. Look at how many players under Moyes that got their career completely gone downhill when he left.
Think if he was called gerinho nevinho and a better looking Spanish bloke they'dve rated him more. He was absolutely amazing and his absence highlights how amazing he was. My mate bumped into him once and says he was completely down to earth and friendly. Not related but thought I'd mention that as well!
Pirlo: “At Milan, he unleashed Park Ji-sung to shadow me. He rushed about at the speed of an electron. He'd fling himself at me, his hands all over my back, trying to intimidate me. He'd look at the ball and not know what it was for. They'd programmed him to stop me. His devotion to the task was almost touching. Even though he was a famous player, he consented to being used as a guard dog.”
You can just imagine Park being raised from an underground layer on a platform suspended by chains, steam rising from the pit filled with the bones of creative midfielders. The coaching staff remove his Hannibal Lecter mask but one of them used to play as a number 9 and immediately gets his face chewed off. The UEFA official holds up the substitution board and Messi looks over to see Park Ji-Sung's eyes fixed directly at him, snarling rabidly. He moves behind Carlos Puyol as a form of physical barrier. But when Puyol turns around he's not Puyol anymore. He's Park Ji-Sung.

As a fan of an opposing team, I’d say he was annoyingly consistent ! 😀
He moves behind Carlos Puyol as a form of physical barrier. he was absolutely spot on about Eddie Howe look at how hes transformed the Newcastle side over the past two season and this prediction is from 2 years ago just goes to show how class Alex Ferguson really was and how knowledgeable he really is about the game
Two of the most pivotal figures in United history of the last 30 years, Ferguson and Roy Keane, never miss an opportunity to sing the praises of Denis Irwin. Poor old Denis. The JSP of the 90s.
Why “poor” though? He had a great career

@@TunjungUtomo Yes, but hes one of those players that is only remembered by a section of the hardcore fans. Denis was quiet, unshowy and professional. Never courted controversy on or off the pitch. And he was hugely versatile. His value in the early Ferguson era is often forgotten.
@@rivolinho I support Man UTD since 1990, he’s one of my favorite player. That goal against Wimbledon at the start of 96/97 season was very clever
