    Just a testament to the type of person Roy is; Gary asks him his best performance and he’s dreading and straining having to answer that but ask him his worst performance and he can tell you a whole story off the top of his head. What a character. Leaders don’t come much like him anymore.

    • @rivolinho

      he mentioned that it was his ireland performances against Portugal and Holland. its the question I've always wanted to ask him - what did he think was his best Irish performance. its hard to describe just how much he carried his team against portugal at home. People always go on about Holland at home and juve in 99, but at least his team helped somewhat in those games. against portugal he was everywhere, always an option for a pass, having a pop and breaking from midfield, always chasing attackers, appearing from nowhere to clear the lines, and even scored a classic Keane goal. he carried his team that day, a performance that actually deserved all those superlatives they use too often. mesmerising performance.

    • @12nicoll
      @12nicoll 3 года назад +8

      For me I was shocked he didn't say Juventus away in Champions semi final and scoring the goal that got us a life line in that game, picking up a second yellow after lazy pass by Blomqvist, which ruled him out of final. He continued still to get Utd to the final. Typical of a what a great captain would do. 👍

      @LEE KINGS NATCH your comment doesn't take away the fact Keane is all talk and willing to end a man's career because he is protected by his teammates and ref. He could've got at Shearer that day vs Newcastle but waited and allowed himself to be held back. In the tunnel with Vieira you could see Keane and hear it in his voice. I bet his legs were like jelly, lmao. Also and this is the part that will piss you off, you can reply to this comment but I'll never EVER read it. I got the last word against you, but you know what, you are the type of person who just HAS to reply because you feel so compelled to. Keane's dog tells you everything you need to know about the real Keane. It's completely chilled and he strokes it absentmindedly now and again for comfort when he gets a tinge of stress. Lovely.

    I can't get enough of Roy Keane. I rated him as one of the best ever PL midfielders. Seems a top bloke too.

    Loved him as a player (even as an Arsenal fan) but what we never knew back then was how funny he was. He has a brilliant sense of humour.

    Keane clearly enjoyed the most playing against the Gunners because of the huge rivalry, close title battles and amazing atmosphere of those matches .
    Although, there was crazy level of intensity showed on the pitch during Arsenal vs Man U games which is probably the biggest rivalry ever seen in the earlier Premier League days...deep down inside Keane had huge respect for the Gunners!
    Cheers Roy🍻 !One of the best defensive midfielder in history!

    My Aunty met the United class of 92 at Phil Neville's house warming party as a plus one of her friend's who did the interior design for the place. She's mentioned to me before that Roy Keane was by far the most chatty and receptive of the bunch, and until watching this I'd struggled to see why that would be. This video's given me an interesting insight into how different he is compared to the caricature of himself he plays for the sake of Sky punditry.

    Keano is the best man I swear😅😅his honesty n the way he says stuff without even tryna be funny is what makes him so jokes😂😂😂😂I know he wants to get back into management but I really hope he stays on as a pundit man he’s the best around by far❌🧢
