I remember i used to watch your videos when you had bought T-roc & now i came across these videos of 3.5L km & this discussion series. Its just amazing. Its good for people like us who are still skeptical about trying any VAG group cars for the first time. Considering its past.
    This will good confidence to atleast consider VAG. just only concern is, wont be able to experience the true VAG experience as they have done some cost cutting in quality & performance. Like they used to give in Polo or vento.

    Before buying 1.0 AT Slavia, I drove back to back 1.5 and 1.0, 1.5 is just a charm. I drove Rapid for 10 years, 1.5 kms, it was a beast, so my inclination was towards 1.5 only however it is pricer one + engine is imported and in India it's assembled, however 1.0 is almost 90% localised.
    DQ200 is an amazing gearbox with lower torque(~200nm) and I think VW did best this time

    Hello, Sunderdeep ji, Just like you I have been a VAG fan from a long time because of the fantastic tech, quality, innovation, luxury etc but more importantly with personal experience (octavia 2.0 TDI DSG with DQ250). Seeing your content really makes me happy that someone has taken initiative to talk on all this. Since in recent times Indian automotive market has been shocking as good companies like ford are leaving. But thankfully, with all the detailed knowledge provided by you and G.O.A.T Manish ji 🙏It will really help Indian buyers make a good decision in next purchase. This series has been really really amazing!! Hope you bring more such content. Ek important Question tha sir, it would be really helpful if you answer this. Sir, New 1.5 tsi engines are brilliant, and come with “CYLINDER DEACTIVATION TECHNOLOGY” which is good for mileage highway runs but I have heard that with time these have a problem of “OIL CLOGGING.” Is topic pe please ek baar charcha kare🙏. Ki kaise in engines ki reliability ko improve kiya jaye…etc. Abhi tak kuch khaas issue nahi aaye hai is cheez se related since the cars are new. But still Agar kuch precautions hoge to New buyers like me (looking for 1.5 tsi but sceptical about long term reliability) ke liye kaafi helpful hoga!! Once again, big fan sir plz continue this knowledgable series.

    • @baburaodhinchak
      @baburaodhinchak Год назад

      @@vader_117 Okay, but with VAG engines having cylinder deactivation, I have heard that when cars run in 2 cylinder mode, overtime due to free movement of pistons which are deactivated, it is results in oil clogging. I’m concerned about this because I’ve been looking forward to buy a 1.5 tsi. Thats why need some clarity…

    • @vader_117
      @vader_117 Год назад

      @@baburaodhinchak you won't have oil clogging issue with cylinder deactivation but oil consumption issue can arise if they have not engineered the oil scrapper rings properly.....AUDI vw messed up the oil scrapper rings on ea888 gen1 n gen2 both 1.8 and 2.0tsi as they made the passage in the oil control ring small.....gen3 tsi are perfect.......if the 1.5tsi is a ea211 then its better to wait for reviews as the 1.5tsi had some common issues hope they solved it.....plus pre-emptive care and early oil changes will make these tsi engines last....if I had to buy a sedan I would blindly go for slavia 1.5 tsi manual

    1l Manual with extended warranty is a safe bet.
    I read a lot about VW reliability issues today and it turns out not only in India but in US market also they are suffering with reliability issues because these cars were engineered for their domestic market i.e. Europe.
    I am very optimistic about 2.0 though because of heavy localisation along with their proactively fixing of issues with their new cars

    Thank you for discussing DSG in TDI . Appreciate it. Since i own a 2017 Rapid TDI AT now i understand my car's TCU is remapped and i hope Skoda has given extra protection for the water logging situation which Munish mentioned.
    Will it be safe to say 1.5 TDI DSG should be best driven with a bit less enthusiasm after the end of the warranty period so that peak torgue is well contained
    My Rapid is in it's final year of extended warranty period and so far I haven't got any problems with my DSG infact I am extremely Happy with its performance. Always gives me joy when I am driving. I never mind the lack of sudden surge of power in first 1.5 seconds in a standstill situation.
    Can you please discuss how to ensure DSG in TDI work fine for existing Vento and Rapid owners like me who own remapped TCU DSG vehicle
    Since we would not own a new TDI DSG vehicle. Which is a shame. So how to ensure this DSG problem never occurs or is avoided.

      actually, not all the skoda and vw diesel dsg are bad (while buying used) only avoid diesels with DQ200s. I have Octavia 2.0 TDI DSG 1.1lakh km driven. No issues till now FYI it has a DQ250 and works flawlessly. Buying used skodas and vw can be an amazing deal as they depreciate more than other brands and have amazing quality and reliability if maintained properly in long term.

    @sunderdeeo singh and @munish ji - Today, my Taigun GT+ (with DSG Gearbox) showed Transmission overheating at Ghat section near Pune city enroute to Satara city. I had to stop brand new car on the sidelines and wait for 15 mins. I had to open the hood and could see smoke coming from inside of the hood. Thankfully, after the gearbox cooled down after 15 odd minutes, I did not face this issue again. But this is not accepted from a car driven just 2200 kms. Any issues that you faced around this earlier? If not, can you advise what could have happened? I am going to the service station next week to have this checked.

    I did a road trip from Kolkata to Madhya Pradesh (total 3,000 kms) in my Taigun 1.0 TSI MT recently. The car performed well on Highways at speed of 80-100 kmph. We had 4 occupants and luggage. No issue of under powered

    I read somewhere that the main issue with the DQ200 was related to the mechatronics of the DSG gearbox was that they initially used synthetic oil. After changing to mineral oil all these issues have been sorted out.

      No there is inherent problem with the design of dsq200 gearboxes which is realted to heating which is more prominent in India .if you are going to buy dsg then go for extended warranty

    Primary forces are not balanced in three cylinder engine at low rev like near 900 RPM but as you rev high it's all right even if you modify the muffler car will have unique exhaust note

    Great video Paaji. About Taigun, GT manual mil Raha hai but it can get discontinued because it misses on a lot of features.
