Tommy, your brother Roman is a real charmer, and very handsome. I love the way the three of you are so comfortable with each other, almost like brothers by birth. It must be fun now that you have someone in your family close to your own age that you can hang with who accepts you and Peter and that you are a gay couple living together. You are both lucky guys.

So interesting. I knew I was Gay but was determined to be "str8" but as you both know that is so hard on us psychologically. It's such a strong feeling and was too much for me. Now I accept myself as being Gay and really would have it no other way.😊💖💕

I enjoyed hearing your coming out story. One of the wonderful parts of being gay is that even though we grew up on different continents, thousands of miles away, there are common threads that we share and can identify with. I grew up in a small working class town in a western state (USA), but being different or standing out from the crowd didn't feel very safe. I too knew that I looked forward to the day that I could move away from this small town and go to a university and meet other people that were more like me. Thanks for sharing your story. Next I will watch Peter's coming out experience. Hugs from California.

I appreciate the honesty in your coming out story. “Oh no, I’m gay”… this statement broke my heart 💔.

I loved hearing your story, Tommy! (My own has some similarities. :) ) And also thought it was so hilarious and great when you brought your brother in on Skype! :D

You think meeting the parents is stressful, try meeting the ex-wife. Even though they had been divorced for 20 years but I had been told she could be violent. Loved hearing your both stories.

I had a similar thing where at university a friend saw some shirtless pictures of male celebrities on my laptop. I wasn't ready or even accepted myself so I said I was bi-curious. I do wish I had been out at university, feel like I would have a good opportunity for me to explore and grow.

Nice story, thanks for sharing. The band-aid approach is totally underrated (for most things). I'm impressed you knew and were 'ok' with it so early - saved yourself any struggle for self acceptance.

Thanks for sharing your story Tommy. I am so happy you had basically a drama free coming out. I love that your brother is so loving and sweet to you. It is so apparent how much he loves you when he is speaking. One thing you said jogged my memory and that was you speaking about how it was at work. Interestingly, despite that I came out at around 15 or 16 years old, I didn't come out in a work setting till after 2009. Prior to 2009 I was living in The Woodlands, Texas and going to college. I met my husband Scott around 2008. He convinced me to move to his state of Louisiana which is next door to Texas. I remember that in Texas I was out to family and friends but not in the work or college world. So after I moved and we had been together for two years I decided one day to try. So when people would ask about my life instead of side stepping the conversation I would just tell them about Scott and my life but I would never actually say I am Gay. It felt so awkward and strange. People were nice to my face at least and I didn't have any problems. But it took me years from 2009 onward to become really comfortable. Today it doesn't bother me anymore to talk about my life and weirdly people seem to appreciate the frank way in which I speak about my life. So glad time has changed that people are this way and not like they were when I was born. It was a different world in 1979 lol! Lots of love from Louisiana! Thanks again for your story.
