My gosh, it’s even funnier to me because something similar happened to my dad. He was driving my mom, my sister, and myself somewhere where they had parking directors. My sister and I were early teens in this story. My dad approaches a parking director and rolls down his window to ask for directions for where he specifically should park. The man happily and innocently said “Oh just go around that way and park and then you can take your lovely granddaughters inside!” And he waved at me and my sister.
We died laughing. My mom didn’t even care that it might have meant the man thought she was our grandmother, she was just tickled that my dad got called out for being older 😂😂

@@stellwyn idk how the UK compares to Australia, but here how long you wait depends largely on the nature of your issue. For some people it’s best to go themselves but more urgent issues call ambulance. Especially since ambulances have medical equipment that can help keep people alive until you get to hospital. Usually the phone operator will tell you how long you’d be expected to wait for an ambulance too
they didn't let dan go with phil in the ambulance last time so i understand, plus it might've been faster tbh
Ambulance can take hours in the UK. Once I accidentally dropped a kitchen knife right into my feet and bled all over the kitchen and called the A&E but they told me if I want an ambulance that will probably take 4-5 hours to arrive. So I just decided getting to the hospital by Uber is gonna be way quicker. I reckon Dan & Phil had a similar thought process

Can confirm, this is one of the most terrifying, go-right-to-the-ER-and-do-not-pass-go symptoms you can experience in the colorectal or gastroenterology world.

As a disabled person who is in and out of the hospital constantly, I do appreciate these videos & anesthesia always leads to some silliness. I had a minor procedure recently where whatever combination of things they use tends to make people a little emotional.. needless to say, I was very out of it and the hospital was a bit understaffed so my nurse was also watching over maybe 2 or 3 other patients. My drugged out self took her slight lack of conversation very personally and I cried in the car to my mom bc I thought she didn't like me. But looking back, she was very lovely lol
I am so thankful the hospital staff or maybe even my parents never mentioned what I said while under the influence (or maybe I said nothing). I would probably need therapy. 😩
Every time I get put under in a hospital, I wake up and immediately start crying. Ironically, the one time I had oral surgery outside of a hospital, I woke up in the middle (while they were drilling inside my mouth) and yet I got up after that and didn't cry that time. Strange how that works.

1: if you have chronic heath issues you need a medical alert bracelet with an emergency contact number and your health issue, just in case you’re out alone and for some reason your phone is inaccessible.
2: make sure your emergency info is updated in your phone always.
3: someone you know who is close by should always know where you are. Even if you’re just walking to the shop. Always tell someone where you’re at.
You never think something like this is going to happen to you until it does and you’re SOL because it’s too late. I’ve dealt with neuro issues like Phil’s got for my entire life. The bracelet does feel like “hey look at me I’m sickly” but it has saved my life.
