I admire Phil’s stance, commitment and general chill-ness about the audience not having to know everything. I feel like so many people online feel the need (or the pressure) to share every aspect of their life but most of the time it’s really not healthy or safe. Phil seems to openly set those boundaries and will talk about them when it comes up in a chill, informative and sensible way. I think more people need to take a leaf from Phil’s book and decide on their online boundaries and stick to them and not be afraid when it comes up to say they’re not comfortable sharing that information.
They've managed to keep whether or not they're bonking under wraps the entire time. That's honestly really admirable.

As a gay person myself, their silence on this topic has always felt weird to me. Now they're out - what's the big deal with confirming or denying whether or not they're in a relationship? It feels like another form of being in the closet that it's still this big secret. I think my own background of shame surrounding sexuality makes me see things that way though, so I understand that other people probably don't feel the same way.

Dan's panic at 19:53 is so great, and while I am a lil disappointed, it's not for everyone and I'm not upset.
But I do sincerely miss the Dan and Phil banter and I think that's probably what a lot of people miss about the gaming channel.

Dan and Phil were my comfort and happiness in middle and high school when I was still a closeted bean (one of my grade 10 art projects was a picture of Dan screaming with the cat wiskers) and I’m finally coming back to them as I turned 22 as I’m on my journey of self healing and going through my past trauma
