Interesting video this time. Lots of questions and interesting answers. I especially like the part about Peter's mom making different things as trees. It reminded me of when I was a child. My dad would go out on the property and cut a large pine branch that we would use as a tree. My mom would teach us how to make simple decorations out of paper such as paper chains and cutout stars. Many time we would string popcorn and use that as a decoration also. We also decorated some of the pine cones with a paste made of soap flakes to add a little sparkle to the tree. The only bought decorations was string of large Christmas lights (there were no small lights like today) and metallic icicles. We also hunted for cedar trees on the property as they made a more perfect shaped tree. I also remember the first Christmas tree I ever saw in our home when I was very young. It was about three feet tall and store bought. It came from Germany and was fabricated with green dyed feathers and some sort of artificial red berries at the tips of the branches. It had a wooden base and the branches would fold up so it could be used for future years. Looking forward to your next video. Take care. Tony

Are you going to set up a Christmas tree at the condo, or at the country house? Maybe you can plant a Christmas type conifer outdoors at the country house, and decorate it each year, if you can talk Peter into digging a large enough hole.
It looks like we'll celebrate Christmas at the condo so we'll use our tree in a pot that we have on our balcony. We actually have a few conifers at the country home so we could decorate one of them, no need for holes 😁

Hi Musu! During winter we will probably spend more time in the city because there is not so much to do at our country house. But we'll see. Fortunately we have nature in the city as well so we don't have to stay in our flat all the time. Hopefully I won't lose my head one day 😁 - Tommy

Now that we are older, we have everything we want so now we sit back on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day to fine food and drink. Hey guys, we visited Windsor last year but the one in England 😁 We love that there are so many couples watching our channel who've been together for a long time! We still exchanged some gifts last year but mostly small things or things we needed to buy anyway 😊

Live in the southeast of USA, SC to be exact, and we get very little snow. Had a dusting last winter about an inch. Have never seen snow here as early as y'all got. Was so beautiful. 💖💕

We typically get snow between November and March, but at random times and usually it doesn't stay for long. Especially in the recent years we get less snow than what we were used to.
Being a perfectionist has its pros and cons. As long as you learn when to let go, you should be fine 😃

Wish I could convince my family not to do gifts. I have cut back dramatically though. No more overspending on the holidays. I keep to a small budget. Great vlog guys.

It melted away the day after and we haven't had any more snow since then but hopefully we'll get more in January 😊

We also do not exchange gifts with each other anymore, either.. We still do gifts exchange with my mother and Les' family because they really enjoy it.
We only toned it down last year, also because we bought the house so we felt like we already spent enough money 😃 Plus when we need something, we buy it during the year so there's no need to wait for Christmas. We don't really enjoy getting presents from our family that much because usually it's stuff we don't need 😁

We enjoy celebrating Christmas our way, avoiding the commercial side 😊 We do "celebrate" our birthdays in a small way, just the two of us having a nice special day together. The ring is still safely "stored" somewhere on our field 😁 Merry Christmas to you too!

Yes, Lapland is what we had in mind, we just weren't sure how it's called in English 😊 It could be really nice although we're pretty sure it's packed with people close to Christmas.

We'll figure something for the future. It still feels unreal that someone would want to send us something 😊 It may seem like it's just a few bucks for the PO Box (here around 10 dollars) but for us it wouldn't be a negligible amount to pay monthly for now.

Years ago we decided the same thing, no gifts at Christmas and if we want something we just buy it !
We really enjoy it like that. Sometimes we just bought some random crap which is unnecessary waste of resources. Now we can concentrate on true Christmas atmosphere 😊
Peter, maybe you did not lost the camera, in croatia there is a lot of professional thievs during season and post season, not just from croatia, but also from bosnia, romania, kosovo, albania, local roma people etc, they steal on the way that you dont even notice, public transport, beaches, entrances to various things, or just walking down the street, during seaspn and post season on coast ferries are one of the hot spots, cell phones, cameras, wallets, watches( wich were on the wrist ) is what people often ''lose'', later police finds bunch of unclaimed or non reported items when they caught some of them. just yesterday i knew am going to be pick pocketed on the main bus station when i saw 3 people, 2 walking behind me, one is in position to see who is coming in and out, then one person just moved in front of me and second bumped into me, they were surprised coz few seconds before it happened i just took my backpack and put it in front of me :)..
No, I really lost it, we were completely alone walking on a highway bridge on the outskirts of Split. It must have fallen out of my pocket through a big hole that developed there. We know about pickpockets, and we are careful, it's a common thing here too.
@@tommyandpeter that really sucks, 5 years ago i found a camera, very expensive one and cell phone on the beach, i could not access the cell phone, but i was able to access the camera, so i went thru photos, felt a little like a perverted voayuer but i was thinking if people are still around or have holidays, probably will be around the place, so if i see them can approach them and return it..at the end it showed i was thinking good, coz i went out that night with my friends and we went to a bar and i just saw one of the people on photos, next day we met and i gave them their stuff.. kinda sucks you never got yours back, i always try to find the owner when i find things like that.coz i know how i would feel if i lost something like this..
