I didn't get a good look at the cherry tree branch, they are buds? Tomorrow I'm going to cut a branch and see if it works and see if it blooms for the epiphany! It's really well lit. Hi Musu! Yes, the last lights are LEDs so newer type. The cherry tree branch has buds but so far they are not opening so we will see if it will blossom or not. We tried putting it at the window, closer to light. Good luck with your branch 😊

Enjoyed your video. You guys really did a nice job with the lights and other decorations. It's nice that you have the ficus trees by the window to decorate. If you want the trees to become more balanced, you can turn them periodically and the leaves will turn towards the light. Love the homemade decorations from your mother, personal items always make interesting decorations. Forgot to mention the scenes of snow on your previous video. Really makes the woods and countryside beautiful and different. No snow here and probably won't have any. All we get that is white is periodic early morning frost and freezing rain but that is also nice. Looking forward to the next video. Take care. Tony
We should try turning the trees, otherwise there won't be much left of them. You're right, it's extra special when the decorations are personal and we love them. We're not surprised you don't get much snow in your area. We were happy to get some snow ourselves as even here it's getting rare. We don't think we will see snow again this year as it's too warm, hopefully it will get more snowy in January.

I am an only child. When I was very young in the 1950s and 1960s my parents use to put the Christmas tree up after I went to bed on Christmas eve or early Christmas morning. Even when I got older they would still put it up Christmas eve so that must have been a tradition here too years ago. Perhaps it was a European tradition that carried over to the US.

It was always like that here - putting the tree up on Christmas Eve (that's the main day of Christmas here). Nowadays people usually do it sooner though, to enjoy Christmas for longer 😊

As of now we're not planning any weddings 😃 The decorating was faster with Peter's help but at the same time filming it was slowing us down so at the end it took the same time as usual 😁 But of course it's always more fun not to do it alone. You could take all the green light bulbs in the rectangle of hanging wall lights and reposition them to make the outline of a Christmas tree.
That's a really cool idea actually! We should check if it's possible, the mechanism is a bit different than the other lights.
Those pillowcases were amazing!! All the decoration was so pretty!!
