Her WHOLE explanation about what the truth is, is just.. WOW‼️👏🏼 Loved it. And the fact that my boy could climb back on his high horse after "The Truth Appointment", and sit up there confidently without fear, still thinking he's in charge of her, is mind boggling ..amazing.
Wow! This is an excellent fictional theatrical performance which serves as an excellent metaphor of the crazy hypocrisy of the iatrogenic standards of care of psychiatry.
Amy Acker is so goddamn criminally underrated. It would have been so easy to overplay this character, to both extremes in terms of her being too overtly chilling or going too far into the playful. She finds this delicious balance and it’s absolutely captivating. Obviously the dialogue she gets to play with here is really rather exceptional, but there’s plenty of examples throughout tv and film of great scripts being wasted on mediocre performances. Root feels as alive and real as anything in these scenes (as is always the case with Acker) that you’re not separating script from performance. It’s this really electric cohesion. God I miss this show and particularly the characters of Root and Shaw (and Amy and Sarah’s performances).
The music was fantastic. Amy is so underrated. And I wish the writers added “maybe I’m too old for you” cause he seems like a creep. This is also the hubris of some people, particularly psychiatrists sometimes.
Nathan told Harold 9/11 attack which was in 2001 and here Root is saying that machine was born in 2002, I am confused , but I am assuming that they created the machine in 2000! What is interesting is when Harold gives his wife Grace a book called Sense and Sensibility and I saw the Ted Lasso tv show which one of episode that Celly received the same book! Really interesting!
So that's why ROOT didn't kill him...Machine calculated everything...remember JOHN, SHAW and THAT GUY (its been a while since I saw the series so I forgot his name) going on a mission during the blackout episode....
Rewatching this series and I never liked root but rewatching this series I can see how she’s important. I do think in the moments leading up to the samaritan episodes she may have been over used but I’m gonna see if I’m wrong that said. Phenomenal actress and comes off cute and Psycho. Not insane even though she acts like that
No, she's insane. Being brilliant and perceptive aren't disqualifiers for that label. Nor is being RIGHT about some basic facts of how the world really works.
Such a pretty face, but be aware what lurks below the skin. I dated a girl like Root once. She ended up being a stalker on steroids. I ran for the hills...never looked back.
The persona of Root as a child is what was typically thought of as a Tom-boy back then, and her concern for the beautiful young girl foreshadowed her attraction to beautiful, athletic, and fearless Shaw 4 seasons later. BRILLIANT! (Or 3 seasons later depending on who you talk to)
@DanielVictorDVZero 😁 this is my third time through the series, but the last time was 3 years ago, and I can't for life of me remember what happened. It's all scrumptious! So much truth about the Deep State and surveillance, sins of the Patriot Act, and the character development throughout this vast landscape...😜
She mentally checked out at the end of season two when the machine moved itself and she couldn't meet it. So finch checked her into this facility; I guess he didn't know what else to do with her 😅
ADDITIONALLY: Theists are delusional as well, and this will also have a bad effect on some, whether just cult members...all religions, to varying extents...as well as the individual religiously insane.
I was surprised he kept treating her after hearing the truth. I would have quit my whole profession...
I would have run.
I hated Hersh so much. I was upset. I never liked Root very much either, but they were necessary to the plot
I'm surprised that she's not his type.
@@haroldcruz8550*Yet 😂
He has zero integrity.
That psychiatrist will need some really good therapy.

Amazing sequence. One of the many highlights of this show. Amy Acker was sublime as Root. …I miss Person of Interest
Me to one of the best series ever
Me too but unfortunately it has a known outcome where everyone dies!
Still one of my favourite scenes in the whole show. - this and the first time John gets access.
John didn't want it.
He's the weapon, not the answer
@@jaimekennedy5750 I know but its still an amazing scene
Amy Acker is such an amzing actress.
Good but not that good.
The script how ever is Great!
I would have just quit my job and moved to a different country as soon as Root finished her truth speech
Yup. Proves he's not so smart
"Do you hear how quiet it is out there?" Holy chills, that line makes my hair stand up every time
One of the BEST shows ever. And the scary thing is, it might happen someday.
I know it's not likely, but I so much hope the show will be revived.
Wow! This is an excellent fictional theatrical performance which serves as an excellent metaphor of the crazy hypocrisy of the iatrogenic standards of care of psychiatry.
Just an amazing acting, it does give you chills
I thought this sequence might be the most powerful scenes in the series.
Mind blown

If I was going to be a psychopath, I'd be ROOT!

@Daniel Victor • You did a great job of selecting and editing the scenes of Root in the hospital. Thanks!
Thank you very much for saying this, I remember it took a long while to do that ;-; Have a great day! 💙
The truth?
You can't handle the truth!
One of the best sequence of person of interest
Her cold, calculating heartless personna would give anybody chills through the spine. Her acting was damn good
How easily simple minds are pleased
@@lordeden2732 What's THAT supposed to mean???
So, Sarah Connor has escaped Pescadero and shot a T-1000 while running...
Such a great scene. One of my top ten.
Il doppiaggio straordinario in italiano non rende giustizia a questa splendida creatura❤
Root was a great character
Root is a great character. I would've liked to see more of her tech savvy side after she said finch was a worthy opponent
A good therapist will never let it get to that level
😊God I love a strong silent woman
There's a fine line between crazy and sexy..... Root is both.
Root is always such a friendly chat.
My favorite scene is the entire series!

9/11 is what convinced Harold to build the Machine. Before that, he was happy as a tech billionaire.

Was it Finch?

I never liked her or the Saracen nonsense. Seasons One and Two were best.
S3 is the best. Need to understand implications of AI @debbiecurtis4021

Never ask for the truth. Ask for the secrets.
This was a freaking great show.
I fucking loved roots acting
Such a pretty face, but be aware what lurks below the skin. I dated a girl like Root once. She ended up being a stalker on steroids. I ran for the hills...never looked back.
She was the... root of this show.
Intelligence artificial in this show is perfect to protect the world enather is by humans interference to destroyed the world
Sux it only was 6 seasons.
My kind of woman...so hot.
1:19 The 7/11 across the street only dishes out $20 bills. HUGE writing error here, folks!
Root had mad Neptunian sex appeal. Perfect for the scenes she plays.

So how did Root end up there in the first place🧐 Waiting to start season 3
You're in for a treat!!

The truth is it would be nice to know the episode number, but then,,,,
The employee in that psych ward who does her hair is way too under payed.
Damn can't find the ost that starts at 4:26 😢
Are there no lights in his office?
Maybe he has electromagnetic hypersensitivity? hehe, you'll only know if you watched Better Call Saul.
is she wearing a white undershirt in the office -- and then a grey undershirt in the hallways ?
I made a montage of different scenes; it wasn't broadcasted in sequence like this. The first scenes happen in different days
Whatever it is it makes me have wrong thoughts about mental patients🤷 at least this one😆🤣
Gatekeeper
WOW ❤
