Best enjoyed with headphones on! Авто/Мото
The old windsor motors with 40 series flowmasters is always going to be my favorite sounding engine.
I like the Delta 40's, less drone than original 40's but they have the same tone.
I had an 87 LX 5.0/5spd, I had BBK shorties, 2.5" off road H-pipe and Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, it sounded really good, like a mix between Flowmaster and Magnaflows.
snakesonaplane2 do you have the delta 40s on yours? I love the sound of the original 40, but the drone is too excessive. I read that the delta 40s have reduced interior noise
I've got a 351W with a T56 and I'm very seriously looking into the 40 series.
But.... the 5.2l voodoo tho 🤤🤤
The original 40 was developed specifically for 5.0 mustangs back in the 1980s. For whatever reason they sound fantastic on all the Fords!
Flowmasters! The only mufflers that should be on the 5.0
Nothing will ever beat this sound ever!. The new ones don't sound as good in my opinion and this is my favorite part about these exhaust systems, they have that aggressive growl like it really means it!. LOL
4.6 3V sounds great too. It’s because the newer coyote motor does not have the same cylinder firing order. The 3V and the old 5.0’s have the exact same firing order.
@@newfie-dean5803 See I'm no mechanic and I don't know enough about engine's or exhausts but I do know that you're right lol. It's not that I don't like the newer engine's or the sound of their exhaust I just prefer the older generation. It's almost like music lol, I totally jumped off the train a long time ago and have a hard time liking anything new even if it is actually better in some way.. Hope that makes sense. 🤞😂
to me the new ones sound like crap, love my 84 5.0
Totally agree
Coyote sound terrible way too raspy and nothin sounds as good as 5.0 with 40s sweetest sound ever
Love the tone of an old Windsor Push Rod.
Cat less H and Flowmaster 40s are a match made in heaven.
I prefer catless X if I have the choice. But I agree, cross-flow dual into 40 series is *_THE_* perfect sound for a Windsor.
imo the best exhaust note for daily V8's.. such a good sound at speed.
The original 40 series are in the top 3 of my favorite exhaust systems.
The throttle cable was a bit sticky on that actually, it would've sounded way better if it was opening/closing the throttle plate quicker
I love everything about this car!. Paint, sound etc!. To say that I'm not just a little bit jealous would be me lying to myself and everyone else lol.. I really do hope that I can get my hands on a fox body just like this one some day!. 🙏🙏
Never gets old. I listen to this video all the time. Music to my ears.
This sound right here, this sound right here......
Growing up in Brooklyn an Staten Island i would hear this sound often. It was like a symphony to me. My top 5 an my top 5 are all #1 i can't get enough
80's Mustang with 5.0 flowmasters muffler
Pagani Zonda
Lexus LFA
VW MK4 VR6
2012 Chevy ZR1
Good list
Look up the 5.2l voodoo, that fucker is the best euro + American sound ever 🤤
@@thecarlife4533 yes, that does sound pretty good
I put the same muffler on my 99 Dakota and I love it!!! This is the muffler that put Flowmaster on the map
I'm 42 I've loved this car "late 80's foxbody" since I was like 12 by far the best sounding car I could listen to that for ever I remember going to the beach on a Friday night and just watching a ton of these going by all night don't see to many anymore 😐 but I do own a 87 cougar same engine and trans but still not the same!!!
I wish my flowmasters sounded this mean. This is the epitome of what you heard every day on the roads in the 90’s. Perfection.
Try the Thrush welded. The new Flowmaster 40s are not the original
Best sound in the world…Makes me cry that I sold my 93 Mustang GTback in the day…
Those wheels!!! 😍 Car sounds great!
That's the sound I want. Perfect.
Centre lines look epic dude! Sounds is spot on too!
That’s music, sounds like fried chicken cooking in that crisco 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds black
Best sound ever.. Going to get my 40s welded in 1988 lx vert shadowfox
You better know it! Post a clip up when you're all done, would love to hear your set up!
40’s on the 5.0 sound the best but the 44’s sound pretty damn good too.
Looked like a B.C plate. Sounded good👍
Nice representing the 604!
Original 40 series is godly!
Maaaaaaaan She sounds Mean 💯💯💯✌🏽🥶
Sweet!!
Excellent color 👌
Titanium Frost metallic 👍
@@05gtdriver I thought it's light titanium metallic, now I wanna check
@@corvairkid17 There were several different shades of titanium used in early 90s Fox bodies, you may be right on your call on this Mustang. 😉
brah IDW what they did to the new age stangs but them 80's, 90's and 2000's Mustang engines have hands down the best sounding pipes... period!
Nah
Nothing sounds better than 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8. 302w
I have an '89 Crown Victoria LX with the same Flowmasters, but I wish its 5.0L sound like that. Maybe because it wasn't HO like the Mustang and the fact it still has its catalytic converters.
It's a crown Vic come on lmao
I've been debating going to a Flowmaster setup on mine. That's the classic sound. I just wish my blower wasn't so loud lol 😂
That's a *_good_* problem to have. 😁
Loving the centerlines, have any forsale?
They the flowmaster 40’s but what kind bc there is 4 diff kinds. Would love to know bc this sounds badasssss
I have looked for this sound forever. Every time I hear a mustang with flow masters they never sound like this. What else is done to this to make that sound? Cams?headers? I love that sound like it’s coming through a wide tunnel or something I don’t know how to describe the idle.
List of mods in the description, those are original 40 series 2.5" mufflers, engine internals are stock. Honestly, I find cameras record sound quality different, so it may not sound the same if I'd have used another device. Put on some decent headphones, and this should sound like your right there in person. 😎
I did have headphone. I know what you mean. It depends on the mic on the phone used to record as well. Sounds great man.
The key to the sound is an off-road H-pipe (no cats). IMO Mac makes the best sounding one.
It's gotta be a Windsor v8. The coyotes don't sound this good
I knew that was lower mainland from the look of the houses.
Is this an h or x pipe?
What wheels was those ?!??
I have a 4.3V6 jimmy and i have a no cat on it with a brandnew series 40 flowmaster with 2 inch pipe in and I'm sure it's a 1 inch and a half tip coming out the back like a grass burner it sounds so sweet for a V6 original intake I'm gonna do a cold air and a new upgraded throttle body
There is no substitute.
Beautiful car, makes me wanna pull mine outta hibernation and fire her up lol
Nah let it sit
What type of rims ?
Centerline billet 5 spoke wheels
Coyote, take notice. That is what a 5.0 is supposed to sound like.
What wheels?
They're a discontinued set of Centerline billet stars
@@MysIIry Thank you. I wish they were still in the market.
I’m here because a guy on tik tok said his “dirty little secret is the best sounding engine is a 302 in a Foxbody, with 40 Series”
Some secret. Everybody knows this already. 😂
The centre line wheel were built for foxes
I need those rims !!!…(please)..?.. lol
Have you're home
Boy go get em
Stock cam ? Stock heads?
Yup, it only had bolt ons
