As someone that owned a 5.0 exactly like the black one, exhaust and all, I can say that the white one in this video will never be loud without removing those 4 cats. Those things do more for muffling than the actual muffler. The best thing I ever did was an off-road H-pipe on mine
Based on this video you can't go wrong either way, but the Flowmasters do give the exhaust note a sweeter "tone".... I grew to hate the sound of 5.0s with Flowmasters back in the 90's, but after a bit of time away I actually kinda like it again. I'd certainly take this "retro" sound over the racket most people are making with those Coyotes these days. Well done on both vehicles...!
if that flowmaster really is made of stainless, thats a big step up. I has some flowmasters on a 5.0 in the 90's and they rusted out in 5 years. Flowmaster knew they would rust out, I got a catalog from them about a month before they went bad. Love the Flowmaster sound !!
I think they're better with older engines in general. I heard an old square body Caprice with some 40s and an H-pipe, and I was very surprised with how good it sounded....
@@jaredvalo5468 this is where I have to say, sound is subjective. Tried Flowmaster on my HEMI. Friend on his V8 Ford F-150. Been a few years so I don’t remember the model for either application. But we both hated the sound and took them off within weeks of the install.
The black one driving off is just absolutely appropriate Mustang noise... Was so cliché in the 90s because they all sounded like that, with headers and chambered mufflers, but my god does that sound take me back.
I purchased an 89 GT 5 speed new and within a couple months had the “off-road” h pipe like that with 2 chamber Flowmasters and 3.55 gears. I loved that car.
@exhaustaddicts I think I like the note of the Super 10’s a little better. They both sound great. If the white one de-catted it, it would be insanely loud. Are the Super 10’s renamed 1 chambers from back in the day? I ran 2 chambers in my old F-100 360 & loved the exhaust note.
@@exhaustaddicts For whatever reason I mapped out how close your shop and another channel I really enjoy watching (Maple Motors) and you are darn near neighbors 🤯 I had no idea. If I ever buy a car from them it’s going straight to your shop 😀
Can’t beat a off road H pipe and flowmasters on a fox body! Black car for me.
The 5.0 HO loves ORIGINAL Flowmaster 40s.

They come with an H-pipe, lol.
@@fish_R_stinky69off-road h Pipe which is also catless
@@eviljesus6111 Nah, you can make it catless yourself.
Pretty tough to beat the sound of a foxbody with Flowmaster
The second one has 4 catalytic converters but it’s straight pipe 😂 ummmm okay 😂

Straight pipe is better. I don't like super 10s. They sound like your exhaust is broken. Or rusted out.
Them 5.0’s always sound good!!!!
It's really tight, but I would say that the white mustang gets a win from me because of the sound and the burnout at the end 🔥
Flowmaster hands down evwrytime
I’d love to see a comparison of an H pipe and an X pipe. It’d be interesting to hear the difference
H pipe is Alot more throaty, and gives more of a truck sound. X pipe is a more smooth/raw sound. X pipe is the way to go In my opinion.

Foxbody to be exact
Used to be called five oh before they started calling them foxbody.
I've got 89 GT convertible, put jba headers, cat delete pipes, with Flowmaster mufflers, people tell me it sounds good
Nice work! 🔨😎👊🏻 Both sound pretty good. What’s that older Bronco in the background getting?
IMHO, the only thing a Flowmaster sounds good on is the old 5.0 engines.

No way. Any healthy v-8 sounds great with flowmasters.

the black one is so fire🔥 but the white one had a great sound too
The white ford mustang is the win 🥇
Flowmasters get louder with age trust me you don’t even have to try after a couple years going down the road
Black one sounded really good.
BEAST MODE ❗❗❗
Love your channel!
No tips with Flowmaster is the way to go. Just turn downs, no cat.
The black one driving off is just absolutely appropriate Mustang noise... Was so cliché in the 90s because they all sounded like that, with headers and chambered mufflers, but my god does that sound take me back.
Any high flow catts on that black mustang

@ Exhaust addicts. I'm waiting to see some "Spin Tech" mufflers on your channel. The Spin Tech's have their own unique tone.
The black GT looks and sounds the best
Straight pipes sound gay
How much do you guys charge for true dual straights on a 2013 ram 1500 5.7 hemi?
Take those cats off
The white sounds better
MENGA MINT!!!

Right on! Super 10 is single chamber!

The black 5.0 sounds and looks the best. Nothing beats a Fox with chambered flows and a off-road h pipe.
A straight pipe does.
@@fish_R_stinky69LMAO
4 cats 😮 wtf ford???
Man take those stupid resonators off. They're not monitored.
First lessgo
strait pipe dumping right into passenger compartment lol
garbage and you know it
Not bad till you have to put it in a car lift
Lol, the Super 10s are louder😭😭
