I wish the 5.0s sounded as good as these old 4.6s. I mean they do sound great but don't have that same kinda tone. The best new 5.0 I've heard are the ones with that crazy cross flow x pipe. I can't remember who makes it.
I have an 08 Bullitt. Running custom headers paired with pypes exhaust and no cats ofc. And it’s one of the meanest sounding mustangs I’ve heard in my area in my opinion.
I’d say best exhaust is Flowmaster super 10’ s with American thunder cat back exhaust with pypes off road x pipe and BBK headers . It’s what I have and it makes the cars in the video here sound whimpy.

Where is your shop at? Nobody around here in North Carolina can put together an exhaust system that’ll stay in one piece for at least a year, great content man!! Love it!
I prefer strait cut tips it makes the exhaust pop more and give it a cooler note in my opinion. The slash cut is to smooth the note out because you have efectivly increased the area of the opening by quite a lot. But I like the pops ang gurgles.

Loudest exhaust I've ever "heard" (I've heard over 60,000) was a mid 80's Chev pickup, 6.2 L diesel non turbo, 2" duals no balance pipe, no mufflers and straight out the back. It caused the ears to pain.

You should tell us weather it's single overhead cam or dual because I've never heard a dual cammed out motor Ford makes in loud exhaust sounding way I love loud motors they are sweet super and we need to cherish our sports cars and muscle cars they are our heritage
It’s not back pressure you want. Back pressure is terrible. It’s velocity you want. As long as you’re keep some exhaust velocity you’re good. Helps to “pull” the exhaust out of the engine.
Nothing about that last mustang was built. I have a fully built 04 mustang gt with forged internals stage 3 cams built to the max makes 380 whp n/a and this one you say is built is deff not built.

If that mustang was built it wouldn’t of been burning oil. An it wouldn’t of bogged down when he was doing that rolling burnout. It might have headers an intake but the internals are stock. I have friends with built mustangs an they don’t burn oil an they don’t bog down when doing rolling burnouts.
Both the 4.6 cars may not be the most high performing but I’ll be damned if they aren’t one of the best looking and sounding mustangs ever.

Had a 1998 cobra had a catless h pipe and bassani race mufflers sounded absolutely amazing.

Get a high flow cat it will allow you to pass emissions and retain the sound pretty well

I actually prefer sohc 4.6s, deeper and the dohc engines won’t lope nearly as much with cams
They are all SOHC
