  • Parkland trial Judge Elizabeth Scherer went ballistic on Nikolas Cruz's lawyer who objected to statements from victim family members criticizing the defense team and making reference to their children. During the argument, Cruz's attorney rhetorically asked the judge how she would feel if it were her children being brought up, and the judge snapped at the attorney and had him removed from the defense table and sent to the back of the courtroom.

@HeatherRose2023 So? Her being reprimanded doesn’t mean anything. Who decided judicial bias? Another person which ARBITRARILY came to that decision. When you think about it, that is kind of hypocritical because no matter what metrics you try to follow to question a judge’s biasedness or affinity, those metrics were ARBITRARILY chosen to be used to come to an arbitrary decision to reprimand her. No matter how much you try to objectify laws, the fact that laws and rules were arbitrarily created will always undermine any objectivity behind them. But people who can’t think for themselves and blindly follow every rule “just because it’s a rule” have the inability to question them.

This is not justice when a mass murderer is placed on the stages of the world and given the publicity and fame of his evil. This was his ultimate goal in life. In this type of incident where guilt of killing 17 innocent people is proven beyond a shadow of doubt. This type of incident should start with the charge of a death penalty. All subsequent hearings in court merely prolong the pain and agony of those who lost their loved ones which play into the hand of what that killer wanted to achieve.
Cruz should have been considered a case for late abortion as well as for any future mass murderer. Don't play into their game for fame and make a spectacle of seeing the pain anguish and loss of those who lost their loved ones. Cruz should never be allowed to hear the testimony of those parents. That is what he wanted to hear and witness.
What we learned from his background upbringing circumstances and mental status the various behavioral reports and criminal behavior should have been reason for authorities to monitor and to Isolate him from society persay. How he was permitted to purchase a high powered rifle is astounding and there is most certainly a lack of control by government in this department. In retrospect of protecting children in the future, access control must include metal detection as well as face recognition for starters. Those windows of the classroom should have been bullet proof and most of those kids would be alive today.

This is exactly how he loved to behave - shout over people, make it all about himself, force his will on everyone else, cause he knew he wouldn't have to face real consequences.... and to a lot of people that had that type of personality, but didn't think they'd get away with acting on it, seeing that sort of bluster from the "leader of the free world" was like getting permission to do and say the things they'd previously kept inside.

I feel she abused her power and didn’t at all listen to the, or attempt to refer back to the statement given in reference to “her children.” There was absolutely no threat given to them in any way. Just as she stated to the attorney she didn’t know he had children, how was he to know she had any? Clearly, once making his remark it was taken as a direct threat to her children it was made known she did have children, but his statement was made to prove a point and honestly, it proved she either wasn’t listening to details that clearly aren’t relevant to the case at all at the end of the day, or whatever was supposedly said about the male lawyers children…wasn’t factually said and then on to be be heard, by her. Regardless, I think she abused her power to more and not only overreacted but did it in such a way it “highlighted” it!

From the lawyer's point of view he charges for his work but since he can't get out what the hell for 30 days he going to free every mother f****** there and you think that's a good idea to lock him up if not I'm telling you what I know.
