I married my wife July 9 1980 and were going on #38 this year. Alot of little stuff I started doing when we were dating just out of manners such as opening her car door, opening any entry door and allowing her to pass first, never go to bed or leave the house without a kiss goodnight or goodbye and a soft I Love You, and what is sad is when I watch other young men in public and how they sometimes almost run over there wife or girlfriend getting in the door first its kinda sad to think that love respect and manners are going out of style.
I'm 27 years old I've worked in the oilfield for over 6 years with some of the toughest men out there and I'm sitting here crying thank you God your love and kindness and thank you sooo much for your forgiveness

I went through chemo, and radiation when I got cancer. Along with 5 operations in 4 years. They did a radical mastectomy on me, and that left my arm paralyzed for awhile. I wrote the poem: I Have Cancer after I found out that I had 1 to 0 percent chance of survival, but praise the Lord I'm a survivor. Garth Brooks is an awesome person, so sweet. I hope the lady is already healed of the cancer, and she never gets it again. I'm happy for her, that she gets to talk to Garth Brooks in person.
Wouldnt wish that cancer on my worst enemy watched both parents and my mother in law die of cancer lots of pain my heart goes out to all that has it and happy for all survivors

My youngest sister died of cancer, everyone I know who has died from cancer was a beautiful person. Cancer seems to target the most precious of people. Thought and prayers to all going through this.
Aside from both of them being incredible people, this is yet another moment where our faith is restored in humanity. With so much negativity going on half a world away and in our own back yards we can see these beacons, these lighthouses that can guide us on our ways. It allows us to remember who and what we are, who God is, what an awesome gift our hospitals can be, what faith looks like, what love looks like and so much more. Thanks to Garth Brooks and Teresa Shaw for everything.

I posted earlier how I really wasn't a fan back in the day because of all the theatrics, and I'm a keyboard player, in Oklahoma...lol... and have played "The Dance" countless times with several bands. God bless him and God bless you brother. This is what it is all about. We only have but a short time in this life to make a difference, no matter who we are. But Garth exemplifies exactly what Jesus would have done, showing respect and love to hurting people.

I have breast cancer and I'm 40... I did surgery 4 months of chemotherapy then a mass was discovered on my right atrium..I had open heart surgery and I'll be starting 12 more weeks of chemotherapy then 6 weeks of radiation.. people battling cancer are warrior's..I adore Garths kind heart he's amazing I was too I'll from chemotherapy being neutropenic i was hospitalized so much ...when something like this happens it truly means so much to a person fighting everyday for just another...

Just went to my first Garth concert on Saturday night (10/7/17) in Indianapolis. I'm 35 and I've always liked his music, thanks to my grandfather, but was never a huge fan. All that changed Saturday night! Garth live is AMAZING! The guy is a true showman! You can tell that after al these years that he still does it because he loves music and the people. Best concert I've ever attended, hands down!!!

When you find out you have cancer you figure out what really matters in life. It's not the material things. It's about God, Family and friends. Everyday you wake up on this side of the green God has given you another day to enjoy. Once your up out of bed that first cup of coffee smells and tastes so good. Godbless, amen

I was at this particular concert (Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Mn) with my daughter, when Garth gave the guitar to the fan. It was an awesome moment.

my son passed in 1992. he was a huge fan, and when he passed, we buried him in his garth brooks t-shirt.

My hat goes off to Garth. Such a class act. In the last year I've lost my sister to breast cancer at the age of 54. Also my best friend to Colon cancer at the age of 40. Makes me happy to see such kindness.

When you find out you have cancer you figure out what really matters in life. It's not the material things. It's about God, Family and friends. Everyday you wake up on this side of the green God has given you another day to enjoy. Once your up out of bed that first cup of coffee smells and tastes so good. Godbless, amen
