Garth Brooks & Trisha Give Special Gift to Cancer Fighter in Memphis!

- During the 3pm show at the Memphis FedEx Forum on Saturday February 4th, 2017 Trisha Yearwood noticed a special fan up front before she sang "Prizefighter" and dedicated the song to her. Much later when Garth came out for encores, he asked to be introduced to the lady who'd been holding up a sign that said "Stage IV Won't Stop My Dance!" He gave her a very special gift. Amazing. Keep fighting Beverly!
They have some of the biggest hearts in country music!!!
They did it again !! ... Grown man to tears !! .... That hat meant nothing to Garth Brooks ... but it meant the world to that woman ... God Bless !!

This moment is more special than my own and well it should be. However in Oklahoma 2017, at Garth's second concert of the evening, he threw his Cowboy hat into the crowd and I caught it. I live with chronic pain, and we had to wait for a very long time (after midnight) to be allowed in for his second concert. By that time, I found it difficult to move, much less stand. I knew I would battle pain, but I was tired of letting pain steal away my moments in life, that could be simply fun.
Now, hours later, as the concert ends, Garth starts walking off stage. He then stops, turns around and whips his cowboy hat into the crowd and this gimpy man, who could barely stand, found the strength to leap for that hat and grab and tuck it in like a football. That hat is one of my most treasured memories. It was a day God helped me to get out for the evening, and Garth helped me remember never to take any moment for granted and never...ever...give up on your dreams and on your hope.

Garth seems like someone I could just hang out with & get his advice on so many things & hear what he’s got to say. He seems like he’d actually listen to you because he cares. I love TX country…..Pat Green, Randy Rogers, William Clark Green, Brandon Rhyder…..all of whom would do the same thing Garth did. There’s certain people you’re a fan not because of music or anything else but because of who they are as a person. Garth Brooks is one of those people.
Awesome moment for her. I am fighting stage 4 lung cancer and wish I could get lucky enough to perform playing drums on stage with them. I play drums for Lighthouse Church worship team. I was blessed to share my talent with the lord. But sure dream of doing stage with Garth and Trish... Anyone with cancer keep on fighting and always have your faith in our Lord. He hold us close to his heart... Garth and Trish love you and for everything you do...

You know, whether you're a fan of country music is totally irrelevant. The fact remains that there isn't anymore of a first class human being than Garth Brooks. If there were more people like him - not just in the entertainment business, but in the world in general - the world would be a MUCH better place.
Whether you like country music or not, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are class acts!!!

My aunts, uncles, cousins and mom passed away from cancer. I'm at high risk, and now it's my turn. I'm a fighter, a survivor. There is me and three other family members left. And I'm the stubborn one. LOL

Garth you are the best. Always putting others that are fighting the fight first. God has a special place in his heart for you. You give them all so much joy that no one can ever take it away from them. You're the best. Can't wait to see you back in Houston TX next year at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
