Everything we get from her at this point is extra, in the books she goes essentially mad from grief after her son is killed in front of her and just doesn't really do anything from what I heard. But yeah, she's great and I'm glad they changed that.

She either might or might not be there. I tend to think she's an actual person that everyone else can see but she could also just be a witch projecting herself into his mind.

It's kinda creepy, actually if you watch her closely - like she's just pacing a bit like a zombie. So yeah, she is very likely not there, only Daemon seems to see her.

GoT still hasn't had the next book 5 years after S8 (and 13 years since the last book) so pacing would inevitably become an issue as people don't know where the end is.

Newer seasons of GoT neglected set-up episodes like tonight’s episode of HoTD. I enjoyed seeing each faction scheme and hatch plans to win the war. That makes the action and consequential scenes hit so much harder. Good episode. They did a really good job at showcasing the realm’s fall out from Rook’s Rest and the death of Rhaenys.
We’ve had this episode for 4/5 episodes this season already
I am a book reader myself and the TV adaptation is just good for real.

I wish this series aired twice a week, each episode lasting an hour, instead of just once every Sunday. Having only eight episodes per season doesn’t satisfy me, especially when an episode is weak, filled with filler content, or repetitive. I’m unsure how many seasons “House of the Dragon” will have in total, but at this pace, it feels like we might be watching it until 2030. It’s challenging to immerse myself properly into the series when it only airs once a week.
Daemon is a character with so much potential. Sad to see it getting wasted. I'm waiting for his scenes to get over.

Hopefully, Daemon's Nyquil-induced spirit journey will finally conclude next episode. We get it, castle's haunted. No one's here getting pumped up for 20 minutes of Luigi's Mansion every episode.
Dreams, visions and prophecies are all part of GRRM's world. I, for one, am rather enjoying the spooky atmosphere mixed with the political intrigue of the Riverlands which are quite important to the Dance...all while exploring Daemon's inner demons and flaws. Him struggling to achieve his goal is actually what he needs: he needs to get humbled somewhat before he can actually progress as a character.
@@Regenmacher175 Well, to each his own. I think it's hard for both Daemon and the viewer to focus on politics or strategy when we're ambushed by Baba Yaga's apparitions nearly every scene.
I admit you make a good point about Daemon's character development, I just wish that development was condensed a bit so others could also get their time in the limelight.

Great season so far but I think after this episode most people are exhausted with the Daemon illusions at Harrenhall now as it’s very repetitive at this point, and speaking of points this plot line needs to get to it. I enjoy all other scenes at Harrenhall though and really don’t want anything bad to happen to Simon Strong.

the dragons that appear in the promo are Syrax and Seasmoke.

Season 1, jumped decades in a matter of 3 episodes.
Season 2, 4 episodes spent on Daemon, still stuck in Harrenhal.
He stays in harenhall for some time in the books
It must be Seasmoke we see in the trailer. Silverwing should be bigger than Meleys and Caraxes and these 2 dragons stand tall enough in the "dragon mounting hall" that they are on ground level when Rhenys or Daemon mount them. The dragon in the trailer climbs up the "stairs" so it should be something smaller like Seasmoke.
Daemon was truly Alyssa’s favorite son.
