It seems like maelor is cut, I thought they did a good job anyway despite the changes.
I think the maesters exaggerated the blood & cheese moment, in real life killing a child would be pretty difficult so having all of the choosing one seems more dramatic but less practical.
In interviews they always say "our two children" so I guess Maelor really doesn't exist in the show.
Worse too was they weren't even meant to look for Aemond just specifically those two kids.
I assume he's going to be born a bit later, partly because Aegon needs a new heir- & partly because there's a particular event that he's central to...- unless that event is being cut.
Seeing hugh hammer was cool
Whereabouts in the episode was Hugh?
@jackwilliams6686 he shows up in the throne room when Aegon is listening to complaints. Introduces himself as Hugh the blacksmith.
With Is White Hair Lol Hint Hint
He looks so chill and reasonable compared to his scumbag book counterpart.
@@masterplokoon8803It’s been hinted that he was villainized by the maesters because the lords don’t want a commoner who rode a dragon to be remembered as a hero.
sunfyre the golden was looking beautiful , people forget that he is younger than syrax still fought much more.
He's also bigger , stronger and more fierce . Plus he has a better rider
syrax did not fight tho at all but how the writers are they are probably gonna change that but i really hope not because rhaenyra is not a fighter
@@tadessemessey8098 its expected , writers are bias af towards blacks and are literraly changing the story to whitewash the black
It makes no sense for Sunfyre to be bigger. It roosted in the dragonpit it's whole life and Syrax is minimum 15 yrs older and roosts on Dragonstone. If the books say that then uh. Terribly convenient for Sunfyre.
@@Teadrinker-zy1ypthey made him huge . He's even bigger then in the books . I assume they made him that big for Rook's Rest and the other battles . Syrax is not that importnant for the battles , makes sense that they didn't want to spend a fortune on her
You get an Emmy, you get an Emmy, you get an Emmy, everybody's getting an Emmy!
00:05 goosebumps, now they playing game of thrones 🔥
I didn't like how they removed Maelor from Blood & Cheese.
Yes, i expected more dramatic
I honestly think the writers thought the book version was too disturbing and I honestly agree I’ve had a pit in my stomach for 2 hours I can’t imagine watching the original version
@@TheValk777 i still can bear it, theh should keep it like 80%
What happens in the book?
@@johnman5221 Aegon and Helaena have 3 kids, two of them sons. Blood and Cheese forced Helaena to pick which son dies. She chose the spare Maelor. Blood then tells Maelor, "You hear that kid? Your mom wanted you dead." He then kills Jaehaerys, Aegon's heir, anyway.
Aegon is pissed!
Any hope for peace has vanished with the blood and the cheese. The storm has broken, and now the dragons shall dance
That hope vanished with Lucerys' cold blooded murder. Blood and Cheese is merely a consequence
@@obscureedits6057 exactly
Would you bend the knee to those who killed your child?
There was no hope once Lucerys was murdered.
Blood and cheese was a consequence of Luce's murder. Period. Had Aemond not killed Luce, Rhaenyra probably would have taken Alicents deal.
Can’t believe some fans on TikTok actually think Aemond is the father of Helaena’s kids 💀 You clearly see Aegon grieving and filled with rage after the loss of his son - he is very much Jaehaerys’s dad. Not to mention Aemond has not had a single conversation with Helaena. This theory has never even been hinted at and yet these mindless fans still insist on it. So ridiculous 😭 The only woman Aemond will ever be involved with on a romantic level is Alys Rivers.
And it's ridiculous because if Aemond is the father, he would have them when he was 11.
@@starlight23-dj9jhExactly, the whole thing is so stupid and some of their fans are now saying he will father Aegon’s third child Maelor (who hasn’t appeared in the show yet) which would be so soapy and unnecessary.
Still think blending the children and their laughter with Aegon's "I'll kill them!" is incredible! Gives me chills every time!
Returning home to Winterfell was incredibly gratifying. The opening scene was filled with emotion, and it was heartwarming to see Lord Cregan holding the Stark family sword, Ice. We are so back!
Is that Vermithor behind Rhaenyra at 0:19
Yes!!!
How big is that
@@koroshuere1031 vermithor is the 2nd largest dragon at this time, smaller than Vhagar
I can't imagine what the family reunion is gonna be like.
Why is no one talking about the background theme? It's poetry of the highest order.
I hope it's released as an individual track.
I missed Winterfell and loved hearing the Northern theme🖤🖤
Aegon is pissed and rightfully so
wow nothing gets past you huh?
My boy Aegon 🐐
He needs to get in line 😂

i need official soundtrack of this Trailer !!
I am a Black supporter..but the vulnerability of Aegon in this episode is truely appreciable..cannot wait to see his reaction on death of his son.
He become evil ! I can't blame him
@@kingjames846lol how did he become evil? He has his revenge on everyone connected to his son's death by the end of the story.
Where is this trailer’s music?! Someone please direct me towards this masterpiece!
Probably will be released at the end of the season
Sadly It wasn't on the soundtrack.@@EldritchPink101
That was brutal!! Intense!!! Amazing way to start a season!🖤🐉
I have a feeling that Tom is going to kill this season, both in acting and the other side
Daemon ordered Blood and Cheese. When the ratcatcher asked him what to do if they couldn't find Aemond, it is heavily implied that he sanctioned them. He probably told them that any male Targtower would do. And you've already got people denying this, which does a disservice to Daemon's character.
people are denying it because of the discussion b and c had before the murder and also because the actor confirmed that daemon was very clear about who he wanted and that those two acted in their own
@@bloodomens666it's implied if they could not find Demon another son will do also Aegon is a Targaryen plane and simple unless you are referring to the family as an alliance
That one “I’ll kill them” deserves an award. This is going to be epic
01:32 honor and decency prevailing
They killed the boy in Aegon now man is born
I love this franchise ❤
I kinda love how the death of his firstborn son has forced Aegon II to grow up and become his own man. He really did love him with all his heart.
tom glynn carney ur so talented
Aegon's "I'll kill them" I got goosebumps
Tom Glynn Carney is going to be outstanding this season. I know it ❤
This first episode was shot so damn good. Well done this show is really shaping into something amazing.
Team Green( Aegon, Aemond and Dareon)
Daeron 😢
King Aegon II Targaryen 💯😭👑
Christ, the ending was just something else. Complete madness.
I Really feel bad for Aegon. Say what you will about him but No father should have to see the site of their sons headless corpse
Emma is just amazing, mind blown by their performance
There will probably be haters that reply to you
Chill, it's not that mind blowing. These bots I swear.
@@NPC1173We are not bots.
She and Matt both gave such great performances.
Lol the glazing😂😂
The actor who plays Aegon needs awards for carrying the first episode with only two scenes
Rhaenrya's gasp when Daemon touched her cheek. Omg... They're amazing actors and this season will be spectacular
Rhaenyra would have never ever in her entire life ordered the death of toddler. She wanted aemond the guilty party. Daemon has made her look evil. That's why you don't marry your uncle.
Heleana was in shock. She saw this happening. She's been trying to warn everyone since the beginning.
Those that worship the old gods would have listened.
Daemon is truly twisted. They have that on both sides
Didn’t Dameon tell them to kill aemond, event mentioned he’d heard he was quite good in combat? And those two fools f’d it up
Daemon quite literally tells them to kill Aemond. He didn't order the death of a child. Are you even watching the episode?
@@mdnblues even mentions one eye
Well if you are going to War you will need people like Deamon.@@MsSourabh108
Let they dance finally begin
Awesome first episode of season 2 . I can't wait to watch the next few episodes of the season , is going to be a wild ride for the throne 🔥🔥🔥
My heart was racing the last 10 minutes of this episode. Just incredible!
the episode started with Stark theme...... couldnt be better than that❤
Even more poignant when the specific house Stark track they played is titled “goodbye brother”, as the raven flies north conveying the news of Luke’s death.
I wish I was one of Aegon’s homies.
Why? 😂
does anyone know the name of the soundtrack in the background?
Damn this season is going to be a MASTERPIECE!
As Novel reader I feel sorry for the black. Aegon II is coming with sunfyre killing spree. 😊
Excited for more Jace this season!!
Best show ever. Congratulations HBO
