On September 8, 2012, Toby Keith brought a military wife up on stage at a concert in Houston, Texas. She sang a song with him before Toby surprised her with her husband, Major Pete Cruz, who had been away in Afghanistan.

Man this is awesome. I cannot believe he did that. He had no obligation to bring this lady on stage to reunite her with her husband. I deployed several times so i know the feeling that they are going through. Toby Keith is a wonderful person and one hell of an american. Its people like him that makes it all worth it.
For those 8 of you who disliked this video it better be because the video kept going out of focus. Otherwise you are cold-hearted, un-American or both

I applaud anyone who supports our Brave men and women who serve. You should ask Harrahs about the clothing they purchase. This is not a place to bash Toby.

I'm not much of a country fan but this guy is a great musician, great lyricist, and he truly appreciates the sacrifices that our servicemen and women make and he makes sure to make that a point in his live shows (I'm proud to say I've seen him live 4 times). He has a good heart on him. And as I watched him perform American Soldier and Courtesy of the Red White and Blue live in honor of those serving while wounded soldiers stood on stage with him it was great. Much respect

Wonderful to see, though I always wonder what vietnam vets think when they see the homecomings today. Don't get me wrong, I'm not deriding this in any way, I think it's great. I'm just still heartbroken over how the public treated our vets back then.

this song brings back some awesome memorys...i remember boot camp...parris island sc...bein recruit jones and goin to chuch and the chaplins playin this song and thats when you see 2000 recruits actualy smile and do something together (right)...didnt matter the race or ethnicity..feelings ill never forget. first time in years i cought myself crying and laughing at the same time.
i honestly don't care if your American, Canadian, German, British, French, Iraqi, Russian or any other nationality. i support all soldiers. they live and die for their countries and to protect those who they love and care for. anyone who bashes soldiers and say's they're nothing but murderers should take a step in their shoes. they put their lives on the line every day so you can live your blissfully ignorant lives. if you can't back our soldiers then feel free to stand in front of them.

Thank you Toby Keith for making this song when i hear it i think of my sister who joined the army in 2006 i dedicated this song to her when she was at basic training the very first time i heard from her. Thank you for being such a big supporter of our troops.
