Bro can you imagine you are the GUY for motherboards currently? Like you are the only guy trusted on the internet for motherboards. I trust you more than any other youtuber or influencer online. Keep up the great work you deliver!
Correction, usbc 40gb and the M.2_2 share the same lanes Gen 5 x4. So when you use that M.2 slot, it becomes x2 lanes and the 40gb becomes x2. You can change it in the bios for the M.2 to be x4 but this will diable the 40gb usbc. When are you going to do a build video with this board? I am getting mine this Wednesday and a guide build would be greatly helpful!
@mud_master96 Honestly not sure as MSI were not specific in their description. I personally don't think it will matter too much as Gen 5 speeds are super fast and you won't probably notice the difference.
@@mud_master96 You can use samsung’s dual mode SSD, so PCIe 5.0 x2 will be enough. The asm4242 (USB4 controller used by MSI) only needs PCIe 4.0 x4 (64Gbps). PCIe 5.0 x2 equals PCIe 4.0 x4, but it’s unclear whether the controller itself supports dual mode switching, it might drop to PCIe 4.0 x2. Since USB4 is basically Thunderbolt 3, PCIe 3.0 x4 would already get the job done.
I have a question if someone can help me clarifying this . At 15:27 if i will use that USB 4,20G@60w with my 6 year old case InWin case (connect the case usb connectors from the case) i would be able to have that speed and the 60W charging speed ? Thank you in advance !
Hate to say it but I bought this yesterday & I can’t wait to get it in the mail. Did I need it? No, was it a waste of money? Probably yes lmao Im building my dream pc. I’m rewarding myself for being clean (drugs) since 7/01/21. I have no limit. The only thing I will not do is pay scalper prices. That’s my one rule. The parts I need now are, cpu & ram. I’m trying to hold out for the 9900x3d or 9950x3d. Unless they get the 9800x3d back in stock soon. I guess I also need a gpu but all the 4090’s are way over msrp. Plus I have a 3090 already so I might even wait for the 5000 series. Patience lol
Oh, forgot to mention, other then the gpu, I don’t plan on ever upgrading again. Unless I’m absolutely forced to upgrade. Thinking the psu but time will tell
As you said, I would highly recommend being patient for the 50 series . If you get a 4080 now, you will never get all your money back if you sell when you upgrade. And 4090s are way too overpriced now that they stopped production so you will also be losing a lot if you went that route now.
Man that thing sure is overbuilt. Looks real pretty as well, but the price... I really wish the would be some sort of "aesthetic" boards with trimmed down features/VRM where they just focus on the looks & QoL without the ridiculous pricetag.
I find it upsetting that there are too few PCIe lanes for this caliber of board. I am probably going to go Threadripper because I don’t want to lane share. What a shame at this price point.
Also I have a question, I have searched everywhere for Asrock Nova X870E and sells nowhere where I live for less than $500. I found Taichi Lite for ~$450, should I go with the Lite or Nova?
нет, это карта тем и хороша, что не делит линии PCI-e с другими PCI-e! Но если хочешь сэкономить, то советую ASRock NOVA, она тоже не делит каналы и работает на полную скорость!
@@GameTechReviewsI have the x870e Godlike and Elgato 4k Pro Capture Card in the 3rd PCIe slot connected to the Chipset. On cold boot the Elgato card is not detected. On warm reboot it consistently gets detected. Did you experience a similar issue with your Elgato 4K Pro Capture Card and if so, did you find a resolution for this?
Seeing all the features and expansion options, the10 layers pcb, back plate, the display, the toolless design, this suddenly doesn't seem to be an overpriced mobo (edit: wow I didn't know it was $1464 😬, I thought it was 1200)
IMO.....Between this and the X870E Aorus Xtreme,I will say the Aorus is a better value. This MSI is only a 'bit' better in terms of it being a 10 PCB layer and having the Expander. I'm going with the X870E Aorus Xtreme, that is if it ever gets released. Sigh....

Nobody did a indepth unboxing like you on this board. Props to my guy!
I am so psyched you got this... I should be getting mine in time for the new gen5 GPUs
I WISH they make this in white!
one thing is for sure , this board is not for regular people , is exceed the enthusiast level

if I install an NVMe 5.0 and use x2 lanes, if I use only one of the two USB4 40Gb ports, I should be able to use it at its maximum speed, right?

Also, the second lowest slot is x2 only or off...
This motherboard will make more sense to me if/when AM5 gets full CUDIMM support. 9600MT/s would give AM5 a huge boost
True
Yes and no… the infinity fabric needs a reboot and resulting higher bandwidth/lower latency.
One thing I’m curious about this board is the size comparison to the last Godlike
Yeah Baby!!! Welcome to the club!
hey , everything ok, 3 weeks and no new videos from you, are you taking a Holiday break ??

Hows the board holding up? Any issues?
Have you seen these yet???? CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5 8000MHz CL38 CUDIMM looking foward to you using them on a 9800x3d build ???
Respect to you brother
i just ordered this board, a 1600 G EV3A power supply, 128gb ram, 4090 founders edition
1600 PSU is beyond overkill
@Lyorian how about seasonic prime px 2200w?

Hi all ordered mine for Xmas for etc build please can you guys upload your builds also what PSU you going with?

Dream mobo I have to admit. I just cant justify the price, even if I would have the money.
lets build your ultimate amd pc ever, sir
His threadripper pc is like $5k

what case do you recommend for this board
I just wish there is a high end board with 2 dimm slots instead of 4, i mean why not?!
What's the best msi monitor for gaming oled
What does the box weigh?
Should have tested it with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and some fast overclocked memory.
So between the carbon, the taichi and the x870 e-e from asus wich one performs better? i want one of those 3 but i dont know wich one
Carbon is more optimized
Is it capable to do 4 dimms w/ 2 kits of gskill 48gb total 96gb at 6000 mt and 30 cl??
Yes, this is exactly what was showcased in the livestream with this motherboard.
Also I have a question, I have searched everywhere for Asrock Nova X870E and sells nowhere where I live for less than $500. I found Taichi Lite for ~$450, should I go with the Lite or Nova?
If you can find the regular Taichi for the same price at $450 that would be the best choice.
Yemek masasında unboxing 🥲
could u test ddr5 6000 1:1 vs 6400 1:1 vs 8000 1:2 vs 8800 1:2 ???
hello! im out of the loop, what RAM will you be using for this system?
Check the recent livestream build.
@@GameTechReviews thank you!
Do you think plugging a 4k capture card into the second pcei will bottle neck a 4090 in the fist pcei?
нет, это карта тем и хороша, что не делит линии PCI-e с другими PCI-e! Но если хочешь сэкономить, то советую ASRock NOVA, она тоже не делит каналы и работает на полную скорость!
Probably not since it is pcie 5.0, with 8 lanes available it still has the same bandwidth as pcie 4.0 16x slot
The 4k capture card would go in the 3rd PCIe slot.

Damn that’s a sexy board!!
These boards make zero sense cause the potential can never be used at once
Wow! I'm guessing this thing could handle 192gb Ram with no problem.

naw this is pretty overpriced man. just paying a premium for the cu-dimm
It is 1.1k before tax on newegg.
@@zj7845 $1500 CAD :(
