  • In today's video I show you just how easy it is to steal any new Toyota, And drive it away with no keys?!
    This should be seriously concerning to any new Toyota owner.
    These auto manufacturers need to fix this issue asap, I honestly can't believe the auto insurance industry allows this to happen.

    For my Toyota peeps. If you hold down the “lock” button on your key fob and double press the “unlock” button while holding down the lock button, you can achieve the same thing. This function prevents the fob from transmitting the signal. Great for restaurant, at work, gym and home where you park it. To reactivate the fob just press the unlock button. This feature is also great when you are washing your car by hand and you are washing around the door handles and it keeps locking and unlocking. Cheers!

    • @idontknowwhattoputhere.
      @idontknowwhattoputhere. 2 года назад +1

      There isnt a 10 minute stop function, you have to stop the fob signal manually on Lexus and Toyota vehicles. You can do it by holding lock and hitting unlock twice. Your car can still be started and unlocked with the mechanical key, and the chip inside your fob that is not prone to relay theft, and doesnt require a battery incase the battery dies in the fob. Also you can enable your key by pressing a button on your key

    Thanks for this! Just had my 2020 Lexus RX 350 stolen this exact way! I usually never leave it outside, however, had my driveway paved & made the big mistake of leaving parked outside for 5 nights! I did not realize how easy these cars are to steal! It is ludicrous that these manufacturers r producing automobiles that r this easy to steal. I come to find out that the fob can be powered down easily, it is in the owners Manuel with regards to saving battery life, rather then relay theft protection..go figure!

    By the way, you can disable the key on a toyota by holding lock and pressing unlock twice, and then you cannot relay theft the car. You can still unlock, lock, and start your car with the key deactivated, its like pretending your car key battery is dead.

      - Buy the Autolock Pro. This clever hardened steel device applies pressure between the brake pedal and the floorboard, preventing any depression of the pedal. The vehicle won't if the pedal can't be depressed regardless if you have a fob, or a Repeater unit. IF by chance a thief got the car started, the brakes are inoperable - and most vehicles won't go into gear unless the Start button and brake are pressed. The Autolock was designed by retired cops and is effective; it uses a cylindrical type key for added security.

    Buy the base model that does not have push button start. The repeater will work on any modern car with a fob from A to Z, TK, this is nothing new and has this been this way for years. Car manufacturers are too lazy to secure their vehicles. They rather you buy a new one then to prevent it from theft. The only way to stop this is to either never use the fob in the first place, use a wheel lock (the club) or ignition lock switch. A good expensive loud alarm helps too. The sad fact is someone really wants your car, they can tow it away in seconds with a wheel lift tow truck.

    • @1PacificRedwood
      @1PacificRedwood 3 года назад +1

      - The Club is useless. Steering wheels are made from soft steel which is EASILY HACKSAWED through in SECONDS. The wheel is then bent out of shape and Club is removed. Instead of the Club, buy the Autolock Pro; this unit applies pressure between the brake pedal and the floorboard preventing any depression of the brake pedal. The car will not start unless the brake pedal can be depressed. Doesn't matter if you have a fob, no fob or a Repeater box, if the pedal can't be depressed the car won't start - but if it could, you still have no brakes thanks to this cleverly designed unit by retired cops. Secondarily, people can put the fob in a Faraday pouch OR roll them individually in aluminum foil. No amount of Repeater RF power can ping the fob and steal its code when shielded with foil or a Faraday pouch. The foil approach is essentially a Faraday cage btw.

    Very easy to get stolen. I miss my truck. They just jabbed something in the key hole and hacked the truck to create a new fob.

    In Ireland we import a lot of our Toyotas from Japan so even brand new 2022 Toyotas from Japan don’t have immobilisers fitted because they have no car crime in Japan, so basically they are been stolen the old way with screw drivers, it’s crazy because these are new cars.

    how about those cars with keys?

  • @ollieox9181
    @ollieox9181 Год назад

    Solution: turn your key off when car is parked. The key lets out a rf signal that can be caught and replicated by thieves and their gadgets.
    To turn off Toyota key fob: press + hold the upper LOCK button. With that still held, press the UNLOCK button twice. The little light should flash and the key should turn off.
    To turn it back on: press either the LOCK or UNLOCK button once.

      - Buy the Autolock Pro. It locks the brake pedal in the upright position, preventing any depression of the pedal. The car won't start if the brake pedal can't be depressed. A thief cannot steal a vehicle easily with this clever device attached.

    They need to create a key holder that blocks signal. Maybe a cover that goes over the fob. That’s just to easy lmao We are giving the thieves the upper hand making their job easy😂
