Me and my wife are looking at buying her a Challenger, and me a Jail Break Charger, but with these exploits I’m not so sure. We live in a small community, but we like to travel. Man I wish they would fix this stuff. Thanks for keeping people informed, great content.
There are both obd2 port locks and usb port locks available. These are made by a variety of different manufacturers, thusly many different types of release mechanisms (keys). The theives would have to carry hundreds of unlocking devices to defeat these locks. Along with kill switches and tracking devices, it might help slow down a theif somewhat.
Accountability? Hahahahaha that word doesn't exist in this country anymore under the Biden administration it's goddammit free for all, the medical field is a license to steel and trash people's quality of life, the justice system. ..... we won't even go there! Takes long to become a barber then a cop, we don't even have a education system from what I see.... and you get on here talking about dodge needs to accountable for a car the gets taken after u buy it 😂 are you brain dead
They should but they won’t because that’s capitalism for you . The problems come with what they create gets pointed and blamed on the individual. For example if you have gotten your car stolen they would likely blame you more than dodge the same you blame poor people stealing for food instead of questioning why they have to be stealing in the first place
Simple and Easy fix. If you don't want your car stolen, Remove the center console section. Its held together with 8mm bolts and #2 philips screws. Some trim removal tools will also come in handy. Disconnect the USB cables. Reroute the cables to a place you only know and make sure to make it difficult for crooks to find. Put everything back together. Also Do the Same with the dash OBD port. It's located under the steering wheel area and relocate it with a tazer relocation kit. No need to waste time and money on stuff thats not going to stop a crook from stealing your car when all you have to do is relocate the connectors they need to program a key. Furthermore, You only need the center console usb plugs if you used apple carplay or the android version. leave the cable disconnected if you don't use either. Otherwise relocate the cable.
USBKill V4 to the USB ports - you know not to use them... but if someone plugs their little wireless dongle into the port, POP. They can't steal anyone else's car either, the world is a better place...
I no longer take my Challenger anywhere where if I have to go inside a building and not physically be in it or can’t see it when I’m in a building. I just take it on joyrides now and use my daily instead.

How much you see people using the Flipper? I see the ads on FB all the time and as a network engineer my mind races at the availability for that device to be used for bad intent.
My friend just got his truck stolen at 3am. He gets a txt from the truck saying it’s stolen (lol) then after he reports it to the police, the police shut his tracking ability off so he doesn’t go looking for it…. He said they jacked it in under 2 minutes
Just saw a news clip about some dude getting his Hellcat stolen in KC. Was curious why they kept getting stolen and found your video, thx for info. Dodge should partially take some of the responsibility for the security of the vehicles they sell.
If someone wants your car, with or without the OBD2 and USB locking devices, they'll get it or make your life hell with repairs for the next few months. I have 3 hidden kill switches on my SRT 392 Durango and they need to be all turned on or it blows the starter fuse when you try to start the car. I came out of work one day to someone looking into my car but they ran off. A week later they came back only minutes after I went inside the office and attempted to steal it. Our cameras show he was in my car for over 30 minutes and left empty handed. I found out when I came out to my Durango with the back small corner window punched out and all my doors unlocked, to see all my seats, headliner, touchscreen, steering wheel, wiring, and dash carved up with a razorblade and the interior smelling like someone pissed all over. They found 1 of the kill switches but not the other 2. When the cops arrived they said that's extremely common when thieves can't get away with the car that they will destroy it instead. My car spent 9 months in the shop getting fixed (whole different story ...) before the insurance company (State Farm) finally decided to consider it totaled. It would have been easier to let them steal it.
I have a 2015 Scat Pack Charger that is fairly customized and I often think about your exact scenario. I am sorry you have had to endure all that. I love my car, but I have good insurance and a low $500 deductible for a reason. If it gets stolen, I just want to get paid out by insurance and never see it again. I have gone back and forth about going through the effort of applying all these security controls or just let whatever happens, happen. I think I have settled on just hoping I never see the car again if it gets stolen. I have had it for almost 9 years and would be OK with moving on to something different, anyway. I am 55 years old and I have owned this car longer than any other.
@jmcates1120 Yeah, I feel the same. I want to get a scat, but im hesitant. Had the v6 charger awd and wanted to level up but afraid of theft. I have a garage but afraid one day I'll run an errand and someone will try to steal it or won't be able to so they'll bust all the windows or do something crazy. You might as well just not even try to make it difficult for them because they'll panic and destroy your car anyway in the process, then you're stuck with it messed up. So yeah, I'm going back and forth on a daytona scat or mustang dark horse. Haven't seen any thefts with the new Mustangs lbs
Get the RF lockout! No keys can be programmed, period ...unless they bring a new/used PCM and swap it out ...that takes much more time and doesn't always work. Layer it up with a hidden kill switch, pedal or wheel lock, and a neutral strap steel box cover. Hide a couple airtags (and remove the speakers) for a nice cherry on top. Thieves want easy. Make them move on to the next target.

I just had my second Scat RF hub locked last week. I had them make me three fobs, and then lock it. Once locked it cannot ever be unlocked. I'm 43 and never lost a fob in my life. It's worth doing. Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Harrisburg, PA did mine. If curious ask for Gabriel.
Once u lock it and don’t leave anything of value in it u can actually leave it unlocked and let them find out for themselves that they can’t steal it and u won’t have any physical damage to worry abt that’s what I do and it’s been successful
Or just use an independant transmission lock. Hyundais are even easier to steal. Any auto lock-picking tool under $50 can steal them, and good lockpickers can lockpick and start it in a minute or less. Hyundais are the most stolen car here in Italy as they lack immobilizers. I had a transmission lock that prevents the gear lever from shifting out of "P" and required a secondary key to unlock. It's not perfect but does make a car harder to steal with more steps and most thieves will skip to the next car.

Nope viper is only the answer if you use it for GPS tracking. My 2015 scat pack had a viper with the signal hooked up to my key fob. Thieves were able to bypass and unlock viper systems that had a kill switch & remote alarms… and drove away with my car.
What about if the car has had the RF lockdown procedure done by Dodge? That is supposed to make it so no more keys can ever be made and also the keys programmed cannot be deleted

I didn't know there was such a vulnerability with Dodge/Chrysler. I've been looking to get a challenger RT 6spd but after this video I don't think I should. Beside the ease of it getting stolen, seems like it will be targeted simply because it's out there that it's easy to steal. I imagine the insurance rates for these cars must be even higher than comparable cars if that's the case.
At dodge and where I am it cost 650 total because I had a third key made one I do it nobody not even dodge will b able to make a new key so it’s smart to have extra
From what OP said it just tricks the system so the car starts right up. It’s not making a new key on the spot like the other way. Plus he said it works with all current dodge updates installed as well. Just some scary ish really
It is easy to stop them. If you don't know my disarm code the car will lock down. Brakes locked at and module gas pedal disabled horn blowing even if you copy the key fob. If you find the system and unplug it still stays locked. It can be hidden in lots of places.
Do you know how useful this would’ve been !! About a month ago when I lost my keys if I had this I could make so much money programming keys for people 😡
i'm willing to bet majority of thieves today won't steal it if it's a Stick Shift modded into a Hellcat lol gives me another reason to learn a Manual 🤣
Late to this video but this is exactly why anyone with a Challenger/Charger or just any Mopar really needs to invest in a Z automotive Tazer, it locks your car down from shit like this and makes writing keys impossible, especially if you hardwire the tazer into a new OBD2 port that you can hide deep in the under padding of the car. Tons of other security settings you can utilize to like having the gas pedal completely disabled until you enter a pin when the vehicle starts and failure to do so raises the alarm, or having all 4 breaks locked until pin is entered etc. Z automotive Tazer, not a sponsor but that thing is truly the device to have for security.
they tried to get mine 2 months ago. had a kill switch & air tags in it. they put in in neutral & pushed it a mile away to work on it in seclusion. they couldn't make a new key or start it so they got angry & broke all my windows, pulled all my fuses & scratched it up. I located it 6hrs later using the dodge app. the recall I did to marry my key/ starter system to the car was a priceless upgrade. no new keys can be made. even from dodge.
@@TKsGarageno it doesn’t cus if it did they wuld have gotten mine by now yea they can push it but u have to get the neutral cover lock so they can’t pull the neutral release those two things and a engine kill switch is all u need and the engine kill switch is extra really only need the first two
A way you can make it hard is by installing a switch to kill the usb port as well I personally would make it so it a raspberry pie hidden in the car that looks for a text or a phone to turn on the usb parts
You could interrupt the V+ power to the USB ports with a mosfet or mechanical relay driven by the ACC voltage. USB ports would only be active when accessories are on, and you wouldn’t have to remember to use a hidden switch.

That's why a had dodge lock my module for free. No key can be made. If I lose my FOBs, I'll have to pay to replace the module under/behind the dash, but at least criminals can't code a key to it.
will this work on Maserati or Alfa Romeo or Fiat? I don't understand, is this new key now registered into the car system? I know FCJDAM 2018+ have SGM security gateway module that blocks you from even erasing any diagnostic codes. How is this by passing the gateway, if thats what it is doing? Ive seen on the new all kinds of lies how you can program a key, but its a strict lie. After this tool starts a car, is the key count +1? Can you just start the car afterwords with same key no usb tool if you shut the car off? Now repeater i understand, because nothing to bypass
Does the Z Automotive Tazer PIN Code protect against this? Even if a thief cuts or disconnects the Tazer from the vehicle, the Tazer has programmed the vehicle Gas Pedal to be disabled (I'm not sure if it's also locked the ABS brakes on all 4 wheels too). Could a thief using this "new method" in this video using the USB dongle, Uconnect, and hacking app hidden in the Solitaire game, be able to override and re-enable the Gas Pedal (and release the ABS brakes?) which were programmed into the vehicle by the Tazer? Even if the Solitaire hacking app isn't programmed currently to release the gas pedal (and release the ABS brakes?), could it theoretically be programmed to do that?
I’d relocate the ECU to somewhere that’s easy to unplug when you leave your car, like the aftermarket radios from the 1980s. Thief would have to have the exact right ECU with him, even before programming to the vehicle.
@mikeprice8307 yeah I got one thinking would give me peice of mind and it does alil but seeing this makes a killswitch mandatory welp looks like it's time shits crazy af
I didn’t even think of it till just now, but I’m pretty sure I programmed the spare key for my truck while the actual key for it was sitting on our counter, now I got a different reader, and I got a different app, that I got it Originally used to program the back up camera for the truck whenever I added it and programmed the heated steering wheel and heated seats whenever I added them as well, now that I think about it I’m pretty sure I just put the vehicle in accessory, which you can do by just poking the button
lol, new bmws are dealership only, no 3rd party. toyota and lexus have rolling codes, i cant comprehend how this could possibly do that. Scotty killmer says taking a relay out of the car, whats the chance a robbers will have the relay to plug in?
Keyless cars are just making everything worse for owners. Key with immobilizers on the key itself and insert it to the key cylinder is actually the best security system out there. Before anyone says well hyundai and kia, they don’t have immobilizers in their keys that’s with anything and I mean anything can start them up. Having a physical key with an immobilizers that is programmed to that pacific car was the best thing they made, but people were tried of having to put a key in for some reason.

From what I gather, Dodge did not offer this to every single Dodge owner out there, I think it's only certain models and years. Mine is a 2019 Scat Pack. I would call whoever your local dealership is and ask. I might have a copy of my letter, if I can find it, I can give you some more details on the exact wording they used.
@@Ryan-ds2wx thanks I’ll call my local dealership and ask
Have you checked into Pandora car security systems ?
Exactly why I completely removed my odb2 port. Cut the wires off flush with the firewall.
by a steel club, cut your wheel all the way to the left or right, and you'll beat most car thieves. I don't care what no one says aint nobody walking around with power tools trying to steal rides😂
What next, bolt the car to the ground?
They will pull it off the concrete 😂😂😂
Yes
Lol now all you need is to find bolt pattern and impact drill lmao
I could really use that app im always buying cars from auction and im over here spending money on locksmiths 😐
Keep the locksmiths in business. They work an honest business.
Main reason I sold my TRX. An IGLA is good, but they’ll also get mad when they can’t steal it and pretty much vandalize your car. So not even worth owning these cars. Amazing as they are its just not worth it until the fad of stealing them dies off.
What do you own now?
@soygoku3911 nothing atm the car I got after was totaled in a hit and run. Now I'm searching again 😆. No one has cars where I live so I'll have to order again like the TRX.
It's so bad it's pitiful. A guy came 2.5 hrs away to test drive one off the lot. He and the salesman stopped at the store and he made him get out at gunpoint. They staked the tires 1.5 hours away and crashed him. He's now incarcerated.
I have a igla did it work for you
“Don’t be lame.” Love your comment rules bro 😂
Anyways my dad’s brand new Durango got stolen right out of the hotel parking lot just a few days ago. Shame on dodge… didn’t think we would have to be putting our own GPS and killswitch in it.
Where do i get a food stamp phone??
The best and least cost deterrent is don't buy a Dodge, LOL.
I wish they still made a regular key for your car.
I’m surprised that it’s taken this long to get to this point.
Thx for the heads up TK you’re a real one!! Props to you!!

“Food stamp android phone” 😂 hilarious
I have never been happier to have a 2016 Challenger rather than 2017 when they introduced Apple and Android auto. I am still going to take more steps to preventing theft though, just bought 3rd party GPS, and "THE CLUB", along with the Faraday FOB holder! Thanks for all the info, yikes!!!
Yep
You kno what I’m bout to selling my wide body hellcat charger and challenger and by a Toyota this shh getting outta hand

Just wait till everyone has electric vehicles it’s going to get worse
There is an update available from dodge that locks the keys to the RFH for SRT vehicles. Unable to then program a new key.
How much and where
At dodge and where I am it cost 650 total because I had a third key made one I do it nobody not even dodge will b able to make a new key so it’s smart to have extra
So, it's making a spare key. This can be prevented with the fix from Dodge that locks the system from making new keys.
From what OP said it just tricks the system so the car starts right up. It’s not making a new key on the spot like the other way. Plus he said it works with all current dodge updates installed as well. Just some scary ish really
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP AND INFORMATION YOU GIVE!!!!!
How about just popping out a few relays , Starter and a couple more ?
What is that thing called
Start dropin the sauce bro
How about a viper alarm
Where can I buy it?
It is easy to stop them. If you don't know my disarm code the car will lock down. Brakes locked at and module gas pedal disabled horn blowing even if you copy the key fob. If you find the system and unplug it still stays locked. It can be hidden in lots of places.
Disarm code for what? 3rd party alarm system?
@@kevR9261 tazer
Do you know how useful this would’ve been !! About a month ago when I lost my keys if I had this I could make so much money programming keys for people 😡
Why can’t we go back to old keys? Yes they can hot wire but not everyone knows how to hot wire.
That’s crazy TK! Thanks for this!
i'm willing to bet majority of thieves today won't steal it if it's a Stick Shift modded into a Hellcat lol
gives me another reason to learn a Manual 🤣
Can you lock 🔐 out the RFH module . Only accepts 2 program keys …
The new method by passes the need for a key
@@TKsGarageno it doesn’t cus if it did they wuld have gotten mine by now yea they can push it but u have to get the neutral cover lock so they can’t pull the neutral release those two things and a engine kill switch is all u need and the engine kill switch is extra really only need the first two
The first thing I do when I buy this car is removed those ports until I can get all of my security set up below
A way you can make it hard is by installing a switch to kill the usb port as well I personally would make it so it a raspberry pie hidden in the car that looks for a text or a phone to turn on the usb parts
How ? Tutorial ?
@@e63Amgg tutorial would be nice , could learn alot
You could interrupt the V+ power to the USB ports with a mosfet or mechanical relay driven by the ACC voltage. USB ports would only be active when accessories are on, and you wouldn’t have to remember to use a hidden switch.
Mine got stolen 2 weeks ago.... Chrysler dealership said system is irrepairable... workhard for my charger 2013 now.. Its salvage car. hopefully my insurance give me good deal 2013 RT with 40k mileage... those thieves whew! Karma is real!
If the RF module lockout prevents even the dealership from making new key fobs, I doubt this new hack makes any difference... but I could be wrong🤔
Yea I did a lockout and LOST my key fob I had two locksmiths come and they couldn't even make a new key...had to get a brand new hub ...so I think this may not do much. Again get locks steel locks
@@scatcanbeatmaserati6480 what do you mean locks?
@mikeprice8307 sorry I meant like a boot to help stop the car from being moved
@@scatcanbeatmaserati6480 I got the steering wheel lock. Thinking about getting a boot tho
@@armonlexmark6291 definitely get it brother. I actually have two wheel locks one for the front and one for the back they are expensive but believe me they're going to help out a lot if somebody wants to try to steal your hard-earned possession. I have the link to one if you need it
That's why a had dodge lock my module for free. No key can be made. If I lose my FOBs, I'll have to pay to replace the module under/behind the dash, but at least criminals can't code a key to it.
Not anymore. Just did a video on this at Sema they have new programmers that get past that
Personally my anti theft method consits of putting a tracker in my car and having some crazy ass friends with guns
will this work on Maserati or Alfa Romeo or Fiat? I don't understand, is this new key now registered into the car system? I know FCJDAM 2018+ have SGM security gateway module that blocks you from even erasing any diagnostic codes. How is this by passing the gateway, if thats what it is doing? Ive seen on the new all kinds of lies how you can program a key, but its a strict lie.
After this tool starts a car, is the key count +1? Can you just start the car afterwords with same key no usb tool if you shut the car off? Now repeater i understand, because nothing to bypass
Keep your car in a garage when not in use & don't let it out of your sight when it is
Always here to support your channel 🤗❤️
Thief would have to have the exact right ECU with him, even before programming to the vehicle.
and like the key is not in ur pocket white freckles
How would getting the neutral strap cover help with this?
This particular instance none, because they can crank the car and drive off.
@mikeprice8307 yeah I got one thinking would give me peice of mind and it does alil but seeing this makes a killswitch mandatory welp looks like it's time shits crazy af
No u need to lock ur module it’s sumthn. New dodge came out with and the neutral release cover helps so they can’t move it in neutral once it’s locked
I didn’t even think of it till just now, but I’m pretty sure I programmed the spare key for my truck while the actual key for it was sitting on our counter, now I got a different reader, and I got a different app, that I got it Originally used to program the back up camera for the truck whenever I added it and programmed the heated steering wheel and heated seats whenever I added them as well, now that I think about it I’m pretty sure I just put the vehicle in accessory, which you can do by just poking the button
is this the same case for the chrysler 300?
Food Stamp Phone is crazy Tk LOL
What about the usb ports on the rear center console can they use that too ?
I’ll have to try it
lol, new bmws are dealership only, no 3rd party. toyota and lexus have rolling codes, i cant comprehend how this could possibly do that.

Specific....not pacific. Thank me later.
