@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 thanks! still figuring out my faction's playstyle, it should be somewhere in the middle ground but more to the aggressive side
Orks deploying on the line feels good. Trukks and boss on the line, koptas and squighogs behind them. Turn 1 they nuke my trukks (dont care), turn 2 I charge they're entire army, turn 3 table the gitz
Amazing video, one thing I would love to see is a guide on movement. I hear that orkz win in the movement phase but I can’t seem to understand how. Thank you for the amazing videos!
Me and my friend were playing a 2k on a premade map that didn't have a lot of cover. He was 1k sons i was BA. I got to go first and proceeded to be tabled all but 2 units by round 2.
Yeah you were not playing 40k though. You were playing with 40k rules and some other games terrain. The context of 10th edition 40k requires the layouts and terrain styles recommended
I have real issues with my deployment when im against my guard friend. He runs a rogal dorn 3 leman russ, one of which is a tank commander a couple of scout sentinels and some infantry. I play orks and just get tabled by turn 2 in every game.
Yeah this is a classic matchup that is super frustrating. I would say if you are running orks, you MUST be mechanized (mounted in trukks) check out the "aggressive" style deployment i demonstrated, have yourself in a position where he cant kill the contents of the trukks, and if he does its because he chooses to not touch the real threats.... moz, and the squighogs. Its also important to understand that this particular matchup tends to be very, Who went first. WHich can also be frustrating
Take out the scout sentinels as quick as you can, he's using them to improve his BS on his tanks without the need for orders. You need forward deployed Kommandos to stop them using their scout movement and they can't be overwatched so be aggressive with them. Ram everything with you trukks, tank shock is 1 CP and with your free wrecking ball you have 10 D6 to deal upto 6 mortal wounds.
Hey man I’m a guard player who comes up against Orks a lot, I also run 4 Russ + Dorn so this is pretty close to what you’re coming up against. Your best bet is trukks for sure. If he gets first turn and scout moves too aggressively pop waaagh right away and use his units to leapfrog. If you get first turn abuse los from ruins to get close but don’t enter them so you can’t be seen. Then pop waagh turn 2 and engage from there. If he’s played too cagey you can pin him in his deployment zone, but watch out for him moveblocking with his scout units.

When you talk about deploying “on the line”, do you mean the edge of the deployment zone? I’ve only been playing for a couple months and I’m not familiar with all the competitive terminology.
Thanks for responding so quickly. I have another question though: would you consider doing more videos on deployment, covering topics like how objectives and enemy units affect where to put your own units?
@Happykrumpinwargaming007 I've just re read the mission pack instructions and it definitely says you choose your secondaries. Was there an update or something? Or is it just the done thing.
@@poetry3652you draw two with your opponent as your 'fixed' before putting them back after both revealing. Its to not influence your opponents decision of taking fixed or tactical secondaries.
