Also worth noting on DK pass, to make it even easier, there is an item box after the winding roads on the side of the road that guarantees a star or mushroom regardless of placement
I think the main takeaway from this vid tbh is that the Wii star cup is the greatest cup of MK history- Daisy Circuit, Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway and Grumble Volcano? There's a reason Grumble is in the MK8 lightning cup and the other three were all added in the booster pass!
The fact that an entire cup is playable in another game via retro tracks is amazing. Double Dash’s star cup is only missing Mushroom City from being playable in 8 too!
I forgot how GOATed it was because the only cup that's better is MK8's Star Cup. I stand by Mount Wario being the greatest track in all of Mario Kart with its only real competition being Big Blue.
Hard disagree. Yes, Maple Treeway and Koopa Cape are peak, but Grumble Volcano is just good and Daisy Circuit is incredibly meh. In particular, Daisy Circuit was one of the absolute worst choices in the entire BCP, and there’s a whole litany of better track choices even when sticking exclusively to other possible ports from the mobile game.
@@Waffletigercat Koopa Cape and Daisy Circuit didn’t really need to be in the BCP. I would rather replace them with an N64 and another GCN track cuz Waluigi Stadium and DK Mountain were already in WII and Daisy Cruiser was just in 7
In maps you’re having trouble drifting like the first game, give up on drifting unless a specific part is a guaranteed perfect drift. I understand wanting to drift but I find maps that suck or games with awful drifting it’s just easier to place higher if you don’t drift
8:27 if you want a better playing experience with the first 3 games i recommend just not drifting because it controls like ass in those games so you’re probably better off just using standard turns cuz it makes the games feel way better to control imo
Grumble Volcano is actually an easy track to win if you just do the ultra shortcut, which is the easiest of the game and also you only need to get 2 laps to get a guaranteed win. I am not sure if ultrashortcuts were allowed in that experience.
@toumabyakuya The problem of the N64 glitches is that they are not as easy to do as Grumble Volcano consistently, using the easy lava respawn method for getting into the Volcano more easily it is possible to consistently get at least 1 lap above the CPUs which gives a guaranteed win, while the shortcuts in Mario Kart 64 are harder to do and every time you fail in a run you either have to quit and attempt to save the race by driving normally or accept a last place finish, so they are high risk high reward. I think Frappes Snowland shortcut would probably be the best to go for but it isn't even from star cup.
I've never had particular trouble with the first three tracks in Wii's Star Cup. Truth be told, that three-track run of Daisy Circuit, Koopa Cape, and Maple Treeway is one of the best in the whole franchise. GRUMBLE VOLCANO ON THE OTHER HAND IS AN EXERCISE IN MASOCHISM, I HATE THAT CIRCUIT WITH THE STRENGTH OF A THOUSAND BLACK HOLES
"one of THE hardest courses in this cup" doesn't have the impact you might think it has when it's only 4 courses per cup, and "one of" is so wishy-washy in that regard, it could just be the second easiest.
Also worth noting on DK pass, to make it even easier, there is an item box after the winding roads on the side of the road that guarantees a star or mushroom regardless of placement
Love extending my lead even further with a first place star lol
Yeah and you only have to sit through a mile of crap

Dk
You can also get a red shell if you are unlucky
the cpus in super mario kart can sometimes just go right through the ice blocks and thwomps
I did not expect mk7 to be one of the hardest star cups
I can see this video taking off. I'd say the assessment is pretty good, that's a lot of work! Good job!

Never played the original Wii Star cup.

You should do a video of "which game had the hardest retro tracks" to get around only 4 games having them.
I’m guessing the hardest is either Wii or MK8
Idk what it is about Dolphin Shoals, but that final turn after the gliding section always messes me up and 9 times out of 10 I end up in the off-road.
Rapid fire cannon reference in a Mario kart video is crazy

You don't know about fear and suffering until you race fifty times in five super mario kart tracks. Shout out to legend of kai.
Amazing content!
I will watch your videos every time

17:23 the reason why star cup will always be my favorite cup:
I wanted maka wuhu in the dlc of 8 deluxe

Yeah but than you can't go as fast
And you won't learn if you dont try
Drifting isn't that bad in Mario Kart 64 honestly
@ ok in mario kart 64 it isn’t that bad but still worse imo
Amazing video and I realize I'm a Double dash fan boy
4:55 you forget the jump that if you fail you are put back about 10 seconds
19:33 interesting word choices
19:17 😬👂
I remember these maps from 2019-2022
2:00 I'm making a Choco island in the toilet rn
This was fucking funny and I’m only 5-6ish mins in “Why am I so fucking shit?!” I feel the same when playing SMK, honestly the worst of the games
LET'S GOOOOO A SQUEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Star cup Star cup!!
Do this for every cup
And the Star Cups are usually the best cups as well.
12:15 WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY BOI TICK-TOCK CLOCK!!?
My joycons drift sometimes, but it depends on the game. 1st party and physical games are usually fine but 3rd party digital downloads give me problems
You should try out which Pokèmon Game is the hardest to 100% complete.
what a good idea
Whats the hardest lightning cup?
19:33 you got what
14:19 koopa cape on 3DS was hard for me
If you were going to eliminate the highest scoring track, whould the order change?

Glitches weren't allowed, otherwise 64 would have been the easiest thanks to the plethora of Ultra Shortcuts it has.

@@Porto5452 Dude, glitches still wont be permitted.
21:25 I'm not ashamed to say it. Me as well.
*Having heard the track name "Wario's Shipyard"*
Are you Australian?
Let me guess in 5 months, you're going to rank all Flower Cups?
6:38 you said wario stadium was easy but its the one with 2nd worst average placement lmao
Is Super Mario Kart even fair to place. It is an objectively flawed game
Hello
Electrod*r*ome
Can I type the same comment in two different videos?
19:32 PAUSE
This guy does NOT know ball, Parkway is the hardest MKwii track and it is not even close
