You can get the hylian shield much faster in Tears of the Kingdom, even without the paraglider. And going to the Ascend, Fuse and Ultrahand shrine, in that order, is a much faster path on the Great Sky Island. You can just walk in and out of castle town after each attempt. Heck, sometimes you may even land in the loading zone between jumps.

@@DangerousDucksVODS phantom hourglass has a lobster shield. spirit track has the same (you unlock it after a sidequest), and also another shield. those are not the hylian shield as they are both made out of wood and not metal
Would it not have been faster in OoT to get the shield from the graveyard in Kakariko? Would save you having to farm all the rupees and the first night usually comes right about the time you reach the bridge leading to the village assuming you didn't roll all the way there, though even if you did you can just stand at the stairs for a few seconds for night to fall.
No, though you have to factor in collecting rupees to buy it, the distance to Kakariko and Castle town is about the same, but the distance from the entrances to the location of the shield is vastly different. the Graveyard is only faster if you had to go to Kakariko village first anyway, but you have to factor in the time to walk through the village, walk to the grave, the opening cutscenes that display each area (which don't play in Castle town) and the time to pull the grave stone before you can get it. Or you can walk up the bridge chains, jump to collect about 40 rupees, and just get the other 40 needed from the Deku tree or doubling through the rupee route on the way out of Kokiri forest. In theory it's only faster if you have to farm rupees, but I think speedrunners know how to get 80 rupees glitchless, given the guy had 31 and he was playing ultra casually.
@@MarioMastar In this case, not only did he waste time having to grind rupees, the slow way; it looks like he also had to wait out the night before even getting into Castle Town, because he was too slow crossing Hyrule Field. So in that case it'd be faster to just go to Kakriko at that point, since it needs to be nighttime to pull open the grave anyway.

@CoralCopperHead Yes. It's even super convenient to get after you get Sun's Song, because the graveyard kid won't let you open graves during the day. I almost never buy the Hylian shield when playing vanilla OOT anymore.
@@person_guy3505 Once you learn of the free Hylian Shield in the Kakariko Graveyard, you never buy one ever again. Not worth the 80 Rupees, when I can just scavenge one for free.
For OOT you can get money faster by farming the bridge chains as you can get 60 from one farm instead of going into the pot room.
Its be slightly faster
Budy u forgot Windwaker yo
There’s no hylian shield in windwaker
Yeah, there is no Hylian Shield
It's the mirror shield
You can get the hylian shield much faster in Tears of the Kingdom, even without the paraglider. Instead of talking to Captain Hoz, you just go past him and around the edge of the castle on the left side, and slowly drop down the cliff to the docks. And going to the Ascend, Fuse and Ultrahand shrine, in that order, is a much faster path on the Great Sky Island. I'd say that you could get to hylian shield in about one hour this way, haven't timed it yet
Wanted to get the Hylian Shield in TotK for a few days now but was to lazy to search for it. So I hope I know at the end of this.😅
You did the pot breaking strat for OoT? Bro just walk up the chains on the draw bridge and jump towards the center. There's a total of 3 invisible red rupees up there. You can just walk in and out of castle town after each attempt. Heck, sometimes you may even land in the loading zone between jumps.
It's faster to just go to Kakariko's graveyard and push the grave. There's a shield there if you don't already have one
If you can get the 80 rupees and backwards run to the drawbridge before it closes at night, Castletown bazaar is faster than going to Kakariko. If you dont have the 80 rupees before you leave the forest, then the Graveyard is faster.
man now I have to play Hyrule warriors again
He forgot wind waker phantom hourglass and spirit tracks
that's because those games don't HAVE the hylian shield
Does games doesnt have the shield xd
@@Ep1cBramb10 they do idk about wind waker but for PH and ST they have the shield
@@DangerousDucksVODS they have shields, but they don't have THE shield.
@@DangerousDucksVODS phantom hourglass has a lobster shield. spirit track has the same (you unlock it after a sidequest), and also another shield. those are not the hylian shield as they are both made out of wood and not metal
my man farming rupees in oot using the guard room when the drawbridge 60 rupees are right there made me depressed
In the zelda encyclopedia it states that ocarina link gets his hylian shield in the graveyard of kakariko village
for skyward sword you can do the dragons in any order so you could do the lanaryu region first
Would it not have been faster in OoT to get the shield from the graveyard in Kakariko? Would save you having to farm all the rupees and the first night usually comes right about the time you reach the bridge leading to the village assuming you didn't roll all the way there, though even if you did you can just stand at the stairs for a few seconds for night to fall.
I feel like you can get the hylian shield even faster if you beeline for the graveyard and get the free one in the tomb.
So in that case it'd be faster to just go to Kakriko at that point, since it needs to be nighttime to pull open the grave anyway.
i freaking love skyward sword
After the intro of twilight princess it's one of the best zelda games
Did you not know about the two(three?) red rupees above the drawbridge? Or was it just faster to smash pots?
Could you please make a "How fast can you get the Sword of Erdrick in all Dragon Quest games"?
Bro what happened to current state videos?
He's probably working on a video with a company that has a lot of franchises
@@Thewhateverchannel-z5y I don't know how big the company is because it's been 5 months
@@JawadKhan-l9e you make a good point
@@JawadKhan-l9e There are other kind of videos he cn make. If he doesn't want to make a "Current State" video, then he shouldn't be forced to make one, he doesn't owe you anything.

I’m willing to Argue ALTTP has the Hylian Shield, though Yes the first shield you get isn’t Called the Hylian Shield, it’s Illustrated Art is clearly where the Hylian Shield obtained it’s design Aspects.
in majoras mask you don't obtain it becasue you already have it in your human form. So the time it takes to get it there is the time to spawn in. After all you bough it in ocarina of time no need to obtain it twice :)
You start with hylian shield in totk in the starting sequence right?
Hylian Shield in BotW should not have had a durability meter and just be unbreakable!
