@@AndyblargI really love the editing here. It's kind of brilliant to take bets that people would have normally used to interrupt the narration and just have it occur alongside it.
There is a really fast way to get the true Game Over in MM. Have Anju’s mother read you a story twice to take you to the final day, dance with the scarecrow, and it will only take 8 minutes after that to have the moon crash. In WW, once you get the sword, slice at the pig and it will finish you off really fast.
embarrassingly I tried harassing the pig with rocks before getting the sword to try going fast but it wouldn't make it mad fast enough. Then I completely forgot I could slice it after getting the sword. I take the L on that.
@@Andyblarg You can check any SS speedrun that contains Back in Time for comparison (consider that they can also skip some dialogues in the remlit retrieval tutorial with some clever movement)
You can actually game over immediately upon starting Majora's Mask once you gain control of Link, you just need 48 ocarinas. This can be done on real hardware and it freaked me out when I rented the game back in 2000 and the game soft-locked at the Fairy Fountain; he dies every time a new map loads and this caused an inescapable cutscene loop. You can get this by either tilting your cartridge slightly or loading a poorly dumped ROM. It's apparently a FlashRAM issue.
In Cadence of Hyrule, you can also set fixed beat mode and just run to the octorok. You need to be 2 spaces away and try tackling the tree a bunch or spamming an empty item slot, but it might shave a bit of time off. Choosing Zelda has a different spawn and enemy location to die from.
19:02 CADENCE OF HYRULE MENTIONED RAAAAAAAAAHHHH Also, I believe you can turn off having to move to the beat as well, which causes enemies to move immediately after you, so you can just mash left on that tree to let the octorok slaughter you
