32:00 Yeah so...in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Definitive Edition (haven't played first version on Wii U), you can also switch characters and order them around the map. yeah, I actually didn't like the fact that she changes for the ending. When she leaves Link and Zelda, I know it's her and the same one from the entire game, but my brain doesn't really associate her with imp Midna, so her farewell doesn't hit as hard as Fi's
@@ypto82that’s a fair opinion. To me, the fact she struggled the entire time with being cursed with the imp form; it just makes that ending much better realizing how thankful she is to be back to her normal form.
You don't actually need to beat a temple to use the Horned Statue in TOTK, you just have to access it from the Hyrule Castle entrance to the passage if you do it beforehand
I’d really like to see a version of this that uses speedrun tricks and glitches to get the sword actually as fast as possible, such as Door of Time Skip, superswimming in Wind Waker, early master sword in Twilight Princess, etc. i already know how long it takes to get them vanilla, I’ve done that myself many times lol
For totk, that extra heart container didn't help keep you alive. There's a mechanic in the game where if you have full health, you physically can't die in 1 hit. So say an attack deals 5 hearts, but you only have 3, you'll survive on half a heart, as long as you were at full health
“now, this isn’t an essential step by any means but i decided to do it because it doesn’t really take that long to farm up the rupees in the first place”
Something I discovered (just yesterday, in fact) is that, in TotK, you CAN get to the bargaining statue before completing the Wind Temple. Just start at the exit of the secret path in the castle ruins and work your way back!
2:43 there is a Free Hylian Shield in the Kakakori Graveyard, you have to push one of the graves aside to reveal a hole where if you kill the enemies a chest with the shield will spawn.
Actually, there's a WAY faster way of obtaining the master sword in TotK... you just need to get to the last (dragon) phase of Ganondorf's boss fight, where you automatically get the master sword if you didn't already have it. (I highly recommend using speedrun techniques if you attempt this though, but if you aren't skilled in the fight itself, fairy duping should help with most of the skill problems) Also for the same reason, the fastest time is basically significantly lower than the one you showed, since you can watch regular speedruns which already is far lower than an hour. (about 36 minutes to get to that phase of the fight in a speedrun 3 months ago) (this also puts TotK at the top of the leaderboard even if we do not count the start of the game)
@@MinscShip Also nope, it really does work that way. Almost no matter what attack from enemies, you will live with 1 quarter of a heart, as long as you have full health when hit. The things that you will die from there, is things that damages you immediately after a hit, like rolling around for too long, or a Guardian Laser hits you as that bypasses the one hit survival. And this is only for normal mode for BotW, as Master Mode just turns that off.
I actually really like that this is a challenge without speedrun skips, but i would be really interested in seeing how much faster the glitched run would be
That's an evil suggestion 😂 Requires a full playthrough to get the linked secret, and finish the trading sidequest in both the first game and the linked game to get it... That's guaranteed to take so long that I'd argue it's not worth comparing it to others... 😅
I feel like there's a sweet spot for getting a legendary weapon. If you get it early, it feels less like a reward and more like a cosmic gimmie of fate. Late, and it feels like nothing more than a plot point for killing off the final boss. In the middle of a quest, not only does it feel earned, but it becomes a fun toy to play with for the rest of the game. None of these approaches are bad. They just change the vibe and are all good in their own way. I just like to think about how creative choices can affect a games overall feel.
Quick tip for skyward sword (specifically the ghirahim fights) If you hold up you shield when he is threatening to take your sword, he will track the sword as if it is to the right of your body (even if you are holding it to the left with motion controls) leaving him open to be slashed from the left and combo'd from there on Idk if this works in the hd version as I've only played the one on the wii, but it's worth a shot
Finally someone else who agrees Hyrule Warriors is underrated. It was peak hack and slash and features so much content. I'm on my way to 100%ing it as we speak. Every map. Every enemy. All gold ranked. Currently on Termina map. Those spider things are a difficult hunt though. I have to look up how to even get most of their second versions.
Sad that you skipped the Oracle games. They are interesting in that aquiring the Master Sword requires fully beating one game and then progressing quite far into the other.
By the way, the annoying ball maze shrine can be easily completed by flipping your controller over(the underside of the maze is flat) and saves some time
Personally I think majora's mask is darker than twilight princess. I'll never forget the scene where you literally watch the deku king execute a talking monkey by boiling it alive in a giant pot.
@@deluxe_capacitor In order to see it you have to sneak into the palace to talk to the monkey once and learn the song, and after you get kicked out you have to sneak back in.
23:53 Are you playing the original WiiU version? Because they changed this in both the 3DS version and the Switch Definitive Edition. Might not change the time, but would make the gameplay leading up to it more varied and fun. Better comparison too, since you played both the HD re-releases of at least Wind Waker and Skyward Sword, instead of their originals.
in my play thought of Tears of the Kingdom, i have found the back door [True door] to the Royal Hidden Passage that the Horned Statue was and didn't know that a door open up to the Horned Statue in Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing
I know you explained it in the intro but still feel Link to the Past got Blue balled since it was the game that introduced the trademark sword, and Wind Waker and Skyward Sword should be extended since you don't get the "True" Master Sword until a little later in each game.
When it comes to tears of the kingdom, it isnt required to defeat one of the dungeons to unlock the pathway to the elder statue as there are two pathways, the first one requiring one of the dungeons to be finished, and another involving with goibg directly to the ditch hyrule castle. instead you can go through a broken wall by the edge of the whole where hyrule castle lies and following the pathway eventually leads you back to where the elder statue rest
OoC great fairies were scary (i played OoC after playing both WW and TP) Also i agree hyrule warriors is underrated and i love it, favourite character to play as is medli
42:04 Fun fact The game have a great mechanic that make it impossible to die in one hit if you have 100% of your hp Even if you had only max 3 hearts/12hp
To answer the unasked question about the Oracle games: The first one you play: not there The second one you play (after you've completed the first one and linked the two with a password): About 10 minutes - basically as soon as you unlock The Tree Secret (and assuming you have the password for it... which you do, because the internet exists) Unrelated, but if you own a switch, and have an NSO account (not even the premium one, just the basic), that means you have the NSO emulator for Gameboy games, which means, technically, you _do_ own the oracle games
23:57 i hate to tell you this now, but hyrule warriors definitive edition on switch does let you do this lmao. definitely makes missions a lot easier to get through
Technically, in Skyward Sword having the sword forged with the 3 flames doesn't turn it into the Master Sword until it is further blessed by Zelda which only happens after defeating the Imprisoned a second time and going back in time. So it would likely take at least 15 more minutes to get the Master Sword from after getting the blade forged by the 3rd sacred flame.
in some games for you it's when you obtain it and for others it's when she's fully charged. Ocarina of time: Obtained / charged. Wind waker: Obtained. She's fully charged when you have the triforce. Twilight princess: Obtained. She's fully charged when you infuse it with light in the twilight realm. Skyword sword: Charged. Hyrule warrior i don't know, didn't played it and BoTW / ToTK aren't zelda.
Funny enough with the exception of mask side quests you can still complete the child section while getting all possible heart pieces and skultulla in just under 3 hours
@@Majinhero In the Kakariko graveyard is a grave with flowers in front of it it. At night you can move the gravestone to reveal a cave. Inside the cave is a chest with a free Hylian Shield.
Tears is probably the fastest master sword to get since you only need two stamina wheels versus breath of the wild where you need 15 hearts of health. You can get it in tears twice as fast but be ready to fight gloom spawn and phantom Gannon in the korok chasm because you want something to indicate where the light dragon is.
It's even faster than that: an alternate way to get the master sword is to just reach the dragon phase of the ganondorf fight, where you automatically obtain the master sword if you didn't already have it.
This was such a great video, I was waiting for Skyward Sword and was not disappointed, and I never realized how Hyrule Warriors plays more like Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem, like Zelda characters went to their universe,

@@Tyrael17X yeah that’s what i’m trying to say maybe i didn’t word it very well, you should never sail with wind right behind you, but in the game, it’s the fastest way and the way they tell you to sail
@@sadwaffleboy aah ok bc the "in boats that size" made me think that bigger boats want to get the wind perfectly from behind
motion controls for skyward sword are goated
You times show a casual playthough, the time a non-speedrunner would get. Enjoyed the video.
Twilight princess was the first Zelda game I had beaten so it has a special place in my heart
I prefer how Midna looks before her "glow up" actually
No pun intended
yeah, I actually didn't like the fact that she changes for the ending. When she leaves Link and Zelda, I know it's her and the same one from the entire game, but my brain doesn't really associate her with imp Midna, so her farewell doesn't hit as hard as Fi's
It’s like when Tetra transforms into Zelda, it makes the character feel so different 😔 (although Midna’s transformation is done a bit better)
If hyrule warriors has no fans I’m dead, I love that game so much!
I’m my opinion twilight princess has some of the best bosses and skyward sword has some of the best dungeons
24:40 Yeah, it's Fi (fy) as in "find", just like Navi is for "navigation". At least, that was my personal reasoning for it
6:15 why did an ad apear when you said "before i got interrupted" 😭
6:13 actually 🤓
Lol
Same
Great, I'm not the only one who had that! Hahaha!
What great vídeo, congrats dude!
For totk, that extra heart container didn't help keep you alive. There's a mechanic in the game where if you have full health, you physically can't die in 1 hit. So say an attack deals 5 hearts, but you only have 3, you'll survive on half a heart, as long as you were at full health
2:40 you don't actually need to buy the Hylian Shield, you can just go to the Graveyard and pick it up inside one of the tombs
I have just found your videos today and you sound IDENTICAL to one of my mates and it's kinda freaking me out
This is just a video idea but you should contact a couple LoZ speedrunners and see how fast you can get the master sword with glitches.
Wr for TP is an 18:37
Awesome Video Bro.
I would love to see the speedrunner version of this
24:46 yes a lot of ppl have😭 her name is pronounced Phai, shes also spelled like that in other languages
with totk you just need to fight dragon ganon as fast as possible
Or put evert orb of light in stamina and go to korok forest as fast as you can
@@chancerobert7505getting to dragon ganon is probably faster
It would take like 40 minutes to get to the dragon
@@evanplays7923and probably more to get another full stamina wheel and to complete the phantom ganon korok quest aaaand actually find dragon zelda
Sick intro man
your skywar sword time is off later it becomes the true Master Sword
I never knew I needed to see baby prince sidon
Great video!
Great video! Thought you were going to do the master sword for seasons and ages as well though
2:43 there is a Free Hylian Shield in the Kakakori Graveyard, you have to push one of the graves aside to reveal a hole where if you kill the enemies a chest with the shield will spawn.
You earned my sub purely because you said Windwaker was your favorite 😂
Video was entertaining too but that's unimportant Windwaker 🐐 baby 😂
Actually, there's a WAY faster way of obtaining the master sword in TotK... you just need to get to the last (dragon) phase of Ganondorf's boss fight, where you automatically get the master sword if you didn't already have it. (I highly recommend using speedrun techniques if you attempt this though, but if you aren't skilled in the fight itself, fairy duping should help with most of the skill problems)
Also for the same reason, the fastest time is basically significantly lower than the one you showed, since you can watch regular speedruns which already is far lower than an hour. (about 36 minutes to get to that phase of the fight in a speedrun 3 months ago)
(this also puts TotK at the top of the leaderboard even if we do not count the start of the game)
for totk and botw normal mode, if you have full health i’m pretty sure you’re guaranteed not to die
nope just replayed botw tried to take it with 6 hearts and i die (yes i was drunk)
I actually really like that this is a challenge without speedrun skips, but i would be really interested in seeing how much faster the glitched run would be
If you wanna do the 2d Zelda equivalent of this, oracle of ages & Seasons is on the Gameboy app on Nintendo Switch Online.
Quick tip for skyward sword (specifically the ghirahim fights)
If you hold up you shield when he is threatening to take your sword, he will track the sword as if it is to the right of your body (even if you are holding it to the left with motion controls) leaving him open to be slashed from the left and combo'd from there on
Idk if this works in the hd version as I've only played the one on the wii, but it's worth a shot
They are interesting in that aquiring the Master Sword requires fully beating one game and then progressing quite far into the other.
from 1:20 to 1:43 i had literal *chills* the entire time every it brought me to tears, god these game are amazing…
I fucking love ocarina of time
When you said "before i was rudely interrupted" I got an ad, so not only by yourself. lol
I’ve played Majora’s Mask probably more than a dozen times since I was a kid and never saw that scene once. Sounds horrifying
@@deluxe_capacitor In order to see it you have to sneak into the palace to talk to the monkey once and learn the song, and after you get kicked out you have to sneak back in.
@@TK0921 thats wild, I bet the princess flips her shit if you bring her back
Totk flying machine go brrrr
23:53 Are you playing the original WiiU version? Because they changed this in both the 3DS version and the Switch Definitive Edition. Might not change the time, but would make the gameplay leading up to it more varied and fun. Better comparison too, since you played both the HD re-releases of at least Wind Waker and Skyward Sword, instead of their originals.
The Andross comment in the windwaker section killed me lol 😂
in my play thought of Tears of the Kingdom, i have found the back door [True door] to the Royal Hidden Passage that the Horned Statue was and didn't know that a door open up to the Horned Statue in Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing
when he said rudely cut off i got an ad
20:45 "I feel like I'm getting edged or something"
Hehe. Funny.
Cuz sword.
28:37 That one has an easy bypass. Just flip the maze upside down and roll the ball on the flat surface. You know, for future reference.
OoC great fairies were scary (i played OoC after playing both WW and TP)
Also i agree hyrule warriors is underrated and i love it, favourite character to play as is medli
42:04
Fun fact
The game have a great mechanic that make it impossible to die in one hit if you have 100% of your hp
Even if you had only max 3 hearts/12hp
I like how non chalant you were when you basically said you killed a seagull for free money
Nice video!
No joke, I was asleep when I watch this and when I want to turn off my phone, this part 15:17 was on my screen and I almost jump out of my bed
Does skyward sword count as the fastest since you get the sword in the start, you just have to power it up?
27:04 well i must be different,because i CRY😭
To answer the unasked question about the Oracle games:
The first one you play: not there
The second one you play (after you've completed the first one and linked the two with a password): About 10 minutes - basically as soon as you unlock The Tree Secret (and assuming you have the password for it... which you do, because the internet exists)
Unrelated, but if you own a switch, and have an NSO account (not even the premium one, just the basic), that means you have the NSO emulator for Gameboy games, which means, technically, you _do_ own the oracle games
So it would likely take at least 15 more minutes to get the Master Sword from after getting the blade forged by the 3rd sacred flame.
you can get the hylian shield in the graveyard also in ocarina of time. so you can save yourself some rupees
in some games for you it's when you obtain it and for others it's when she's fully charged.
I mastered wind waker with retroachievement, what a game it is ❤
Funny enough with the exception of mask side quests you can still complete the child section while getting all possible heart pieces and skultulla in just under 3 hours
kind of funny how the game that takes the longest is also the game were you tecknickly start off with the master sword
12:25 “best glop in gaming history”
You should do only 2d zelda games next. They're fairly easy to emulate, and there are plenty of them
In Ocarina, you can get a Hylian Shield for free in the graveyard, rather than farming money to buy one for full price.
how?
@@Majinhero In the Kakariko graveyard is a grave with flowers in front of it it. At night you can move the gravestone to reveal a cave. Inside the cave is a chest with a free Hylian Shield.
Ooh, another new thing I didn't know about OoT. I've always waited until the Kakariko guard gives you a discount before buying it
Bro wind waker is the first zelda game I ever played but when I got the master sword I felt unstoppable
24:01
Punished for not playing definitive edition
Or Hyrule warriors legends, as in the game but for the 3ds
He didnt finish the master sword in both wind waker a skyward
Yeah noticed that as well
he obtained the master sword; he didn't say anything about getting their strongest version
@@fiercedeitylink2019 well the name of the finished master sword in skyward sword is the "true master sword" sooo...
Do you want him to do the master trials as well for breath of the wild?
@@mazingdaddid that's paid dlc so I'd say no
Tears is probably the fastest master sword to get since you only need two stamina wheels versus breath of the wild where you need 15 hearts of health.
It must be nice that your intro to the Zelda series was Ocarina of Time. Mine was the CD-i games.
Ruh roh!
And I thought I was the only one who felt like playing Dark Souls and not a Zelda game with BotW!
Fi is pronounced like that in literally every language.
This was such a great video, I was waiting for Skyward Sword and was not disappointed, and I never realized how Hyrule Warriors plays more like Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem, like Zelda characters went to their universe,
you do not need the heros sword side quest to get the master sword, its just easier to locate it
"What the fuck is that?" I couldn't help but laugh 🤣
botw could have been like 5 minutes.
-Get all 4 runes
-windbomb to korok forest
-put wood right next to mastersword
-ignite it to turn it into a campfire
-Turn to Master Sword
-Activate the sword and turn towards the campfire
-Campfire overwrites the prompt to hold a
-Cutscene where you pull out the Master Sword happends and you own it
Ahem from OOT it’s clearly 5:49 you mistimed it by multiple hours
