My boss told me I was fired so I turned towards the wall, side hopped to the right to a specific point, looked backwards while jumping forward, clipped through the wall and since the water in the water fountain extends down into the core of the earth I was able to swim that until I reached his office, I unloaded and reloaded his desk, until he was fired and now I'm the CEO of the company.
"I read the sign, walked down the stairs with the camera facing him until he was unloaded, and then walked back up. Look at that, he's unfrozen!" I love this game so much.
You'd be surprised how much software, especially how much critical infrastructure is actually held together by duct tape and prayers. Quite honestly it scares me.
From doing Randomizer runs and struggling to find it I know that struggle. On my most recent run I had to use Bolero of Fire to go to Death Mountain Crater as a kid, Bomb Hover up the bridge to get into Darunia's room from the back, use the Torch in his room to light the other torches for the giant pot and succeed at that minigame to get the Kokiri's Emerald. The Kokiri's Emerald allowed triggering the Zelda escaping and throwing the Ocarina of Time cutscene where you get the Song of Time, which for me was shuffled into Zelda's Lullaby.
Poor ole Lonk, he means well but he's always screwing things up! It's hard having Link around as the younger, more capable and less glitchy brother. Someday maybe Nintendo will give Lonk his day in the sun.
It's absolutely magical how in this game no matter how seemingly impassable of a blockade certain sections are if you skip getting important items, there's ALWAYS some frame perfect difficult glitch that just BARELY works to allow you to pass everything based seemingly on luck from dev choices. Like the Gerudo bridge, if they had placed it even a few pixels further away that trick wouldn't work. Or how the Shadow Temple is laid out making skipping the boat possible. At nearly every blockade I was like "okay that has to be the end, there's no way past that" but with some side hopping and flips everything is made possible. Incredible.
An unfortunate thing disqualifies you from your own ruleset - You said you'd play as Adult Link only, but seeing as you used the canon name, you actually played as Adult Zelda the whole time. Invalid run!
@@TheDoctorinspectorbut you can get them as an adult? But also he said it was possible without just easier, which was weird seeing the complexity of many of these later on.
I think the funniest part about Adult Link in Child Link cutscenes is when he sort of... sits on the ground with his legs folded upright, while pretending he's standing. It's already funny enough that the game can't decide what height he should be off the ground, but then on top of that, instead of him just clipping through the ground like you'd expect, it insists his feet must be _right on_ the ground no matter what! And even though they seemingly never designed him to be in that weird posture, the engine is somehow able to do it anyway.
@@KairuHakubiThis game does ineed have that. Try standing on the stairs near the door of time. One of the first 3d games that implemented this mechanic I think.
@@KairuHakubi It would be even stranger if his legs got stretched or something. Presumably, it folds them when he's below standing height, but lets them dangle if he's above it.
Modders need to get to work. So we can have each of the masked characters in ocarina of time and see how much of the game you can complete with each of them, and move ocarina of time links to Majora's mask game and see what they can do (probably similar to basic link in that game though. I like how the majority of this video is just ”because I didn’t do this as kid link, I can’t access the area. No biggie tho, I’m just gonna do some backflips and some side hops in this specific spot and instantly teleport myself to the end of the game”
For anyone wondering about the "much harder" way to escape Kokiri Forest without any items mentioned in the vid - it's achieved by throwing a rock at a guard from an _extremely precise_ place. And by _extremely precise_ I mean _1/1000th of a unit precision_ in positioning - so, TAS-only iirc.
People _did_ make a setup for it to be doable real-time, I think they show it off somewhere on a commentated min% speedrun?... but I also remember it being pretty absurd, so yeah pretty much TAS-only
It's not tas-only, it has a consistent repeatable setup. Said setup requires multiple frame perfect inputs and days of practice, but it's entirely viable if you're willing to put in the time to learn it.
@@goopi_eh Setup has existed for several years (not super long after the skip was found). It's just not very useful outside of really niche runs because ocarina cutscene is slow and lost woods escape is faster anyway.

4:06 this is because the game tries to force-equip nuts, bombs, and ocarina to the C-buttons the first time you become an adult. the game saw that it was supposed to have ocarina on C-right when you tried to equip it to C-down, and switched the item placements.

I find it amazing how proficient you are with these glitches that are so precise to pull off. You make it sound fairly easy, but it's not. How do people even come up with this stuff, you have to really go out of your way to make it happen. It's not regular glitches that can happen with normal gameplay.
Regarding the Water Temple: "...so I decided to just skip the entire dungeon." *Everyone liked that* What an amazing run. I am honestly shocked that it was even possible. Just one more reason that this amazing mess of a game is one of the greatest.

I watch a ton of Zelda 64 content from ZFG, LOTADs, etc. Somehow you always find little tricks here and there that I have never heard of before. I’ve never seen that king zora de-frost trick, or the Zelda’s lullaby WW, or that method for getting past the zoras river waterfall. Your videos are always interesting for that reason.
Not being able to get Mido out of the way really makes me think. Link really is the nicest, most patient guy on the planet. How many times will he be tasked with doing something he needs to do, to save the world no less, and there'll be an NPC arbitrarily in his way like "I won't move until you play me a song or climb that wall or bring me booze or 200 rupees please" and he just goes and does it. Not for nothing, but if I was on a task to save the world and a kid was blocking my path, I'd pick him up and move him aside lmfao
How does a channel with one of a kind ideas, great editing, writing is amazing, and a nice guy running it not have a million subs yet? Keep up the great work!
This was incredible from start to finish. That final trick you did to get magic made my jaw drop. I had no idea this concept would be SO interesting to see play out. Oh and you're amazing for doing that crazy trick in an invisible room I would have been so lost. 😂
as someone who has played many ocarina of time randomizers i understand the pain of not having zelda's lullaby and how much it limits you. its not something you think about until you dont have it
that complicated "warp to Hyrule Castle" reminds me of a video i saw some time ago... someone was doing an "any% speedrun" of Majora's Mask. he went through the introductory cycle normally, then he went somewhere outside, i think it was near the Graveyard (which would require glitching through several fences to get to that early), did a bunch of side-hops and backflips and such, then played the Song of time while wearing the Deku Mask... and that somehow warped him DIRECTLY TO THE ENDING CUTSCENE!
Excellent breakdown! Your editing and script are greatly appreciated. I feel there are too many "can you beat" oriented channels that effectively just show you a highlight reel for a stream. I much prefer this put-together presentation. Subscribed.
Thanks very much! I definitely know what you mean, I'm not a huge fan of that highlight reel style myself. I try to make my videos in a style that I'd personally find entertaining as a viewer, so you can expect videos with this same kind of presentation going forward.
Okay, 24:33 the out of bounds Shadow Temple’s entrance looks something straight out of a dream. Legit looks eerily beautiful! Also Lowkey reminds me of Twilight Princess
Stumbled across your videos because I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see some OOT gameplay. I remember when this game came out when I was a kid. Seeing all these glitches would've blown my little mind back then 😂. Awesome content my guy! Definitely subbing and looking forward to future content from you.
It's funny how much overlap I see here with the no pause and randomizer runs I've watched. The no pause in particular is funny because I watched it directly before this.
Glitch hunters and speedrunners have infinitely more patience than I do. At the beginning, I just thought I'd run out of patience for the "get to Zora's River early" trick. But that was nothing compared to the feats you pull as the video progresses.
Cool trick, if you side hop in and immediately back out of the dampes race exit door, it sends you back to the start meaning you don't need song of time. Very useful for randomizers
For Dampe's grave softlock at 4:46 after getting the hookshot, if you side hop into the door that closes behind you, you can quickly side hop back into the treasure room, and you'll get transported to the start of the race!

I've been playing OoT for 22 years and I've never seen the hookshot trick at 7:54! It made me go "woah!" and you earned that like and sub, amazing work!
your one of my favourite channels right now, usually I'd find a video of someone talking through their playthrough boring but it's clear you put so much research and time into perfecting the execution. It's also so weird to see so many glitches on a game i played as a kid. Love this series hope it continues
Thanks very much! There will definitely be more Zelda down the line.
I find it amazing how proficient you are with these glitches that are so precise to pull off. You make it sound fairly easy, but it's not. How do people even come up with this stuff, you have to really go out of your way to make it happen. It's not regular glitches that can happen with normal gameplay.
I love your videos, especially the showcase of all the different glitches you used, which are not usually seen in speedruns!
Thanks very much! I think showcasing all of the weird tricks you can do is part of the fun of these glitch-heavy playthroughs.
idk how you people do these glitches and know where to go but it just amazes me how yall do it!!! great job making this video!
Regarding the Water Temple: "...so I decided to just skip the entire dungeon."
*Everyone liked that*
What an amazing run. I am honestly shocked that it was even possible. Just one more reason that this amazing mess of a game is one of the greatest.
Just imagine how screwed up the lore would be if Zelda just did all these glitches instead of doing the adventure normally /:
Can't be any more confusing than the canon lore is already though 🤔
Every "water temple sucks" players favorite run. 😂
Zelda: holder of the Triforce of Wisdom
Ganondorf: holder of the Triforce of Power
Link: holder of the Triforce of Reality Bending
Every single OoT challenge run blows my mind! Nothing seems impossible in this game, it's incredible. Great video!
Thanks very much! You're not wrong about nothing seeming impossible, whenever I get stumped on one of these playthroughs I always seem to find some kind of solution with enough research. People find crazy stuff!
Holy moly, that glitch with Epona and Malon to get the lullaby was insane.
So happy I went on youtube at this exact moment, I can now watch this 11 minutes after it was uploaded
These videos are so amazing please keep finding creative ways to beat all zelda games!
Navi never woke link up as a kid, now hes panicking trying to catch up before anyone notices
Link grows for 7 years but his muscles atrophy to the point he can’t pick a flower
This is insane. The amount of techniques discovered by the speedrunning community and the creativity of you actually making this is beyond awesome! My hat off for you sir!
That's really funny!
Two days ago, RUclips recommended your youngling playthrough video to me, and today you uploaded the adult link.xD this can't be a coincidence
Wow, adult link is way smarter than young link
INSANE!!!!!!! I have NEVER watched a gameplay video in its entirety, but YOUR video captivated me!! I hope there will be more videos like this in the future.
Thanks very much, I'm glad you liked it! Most of the videos on my channel are pretty in line with this one.
@@MandatoryPixel Sure, no problem. Besides the fact that I had no idea all of this was possible, I can totally imagine that this video was a huge amount of work. Definitely a well-deserved like. I’ll take a closer look at your channel.Good luck with your channel!
That was absolutely insane my dude, major props to your dedication to such a challenge 😳 How people figure all this out is beyond me
Damn man. You crushed this so... methodically. Im not normally into these types of playthrpughs, but I watched this the whole way through and loved it! You have a talent for presentation
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Definitely deserve way more subs for this level of content! Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks very much!
Honestly this is just something else to watch, for me Ocarina of Time you find you spend forever on playthroughs trying new things or at least I did for years. So seeing this type of stuff is just amazing.
In Link's defense, even for an adult, a goron wanting a hug is horrifying when they're not used to human fragility
Hey, ive been seeing your videos for some time, i stilll dont understand how you are so underrated, keep going my dude
Finally someone playing the game the way Nintendo intended it.
That Epona glitch to get into the castle was amazing!
Thanks very much! Maybe one day!
Thank goodness Zelda riding a glitchy Malon let us get Link's Lullaby!
"It isn't, i just wanted to bring this friend the rest of the way"
That earned you a like
(at 6:52) The picture of Mido's face be like "What No How!!!" lol
I’m glad you’re still enjoying actually playing the game with things like getting the chicken egg and doing the rest of Jabu-Jabu
And here I am trying to do a 100% run for the 50th time like a chump.
6:51 - that one frame of his face absolutely sent me lmaoooo xD
Imagine your 10 year old childhood friend turns into a 17 year old guy in the middle of nowhere in one day:
This video was weirdly way more interesting than I thought it would be 😂
Excellent breakdown!
@@MandatoryPixel Well keep it up! I'm enjoying it 😇
Well this is a unique idea
This was definitely quite the entertaining watch. Nice job!
Thanks very much!
Awesome Video Bro!!
I had a phenomenal sleep with this playing in the background
Bro played Ocarina of Time without the Ocarina of Time 💀
Okay, 24:33 the out of bounds Shadow Temple’s entrance looks something straight out of a dream.
This is one of the coolest challenge runs I've ever seen!
Thanks very much!
35:50 I can just imagine how confused Malon would be from this lol
Cool trick, if you side hop in and immediately back out of the dampes race exit door, it sends you back to the start meaning you don't need song of time.
Very useful for randomizers
That Epona cutscene wrong warp into Hyrule Castle is insane I’ve never seen that.
"The canon name: Zelda" 💀
For Dampe's grave softlock at 4:46 after getting the hookshot, if you side hop into the door that closes behind you, you can quickly side hop back into the treasure room, and you'll get transported to the start of the race!
