In particular, the fact that it’s a *mansion* inside the lost woods raises so many questions.
Who lived here? When did someone try to make a home in these woods? What happened to the owners (did they fall victim to the forest’s curse and become stalfos?)? Was this a sacred grove before or after the mansion was built?

Imagine if Wind Waker's ghost ship wasn't a part of the main storyline. It had no rooms to explore and couldn't even be entered, there was no chart to be found, and no NPC even talks about it. You dig out your old Gamecube and copy of the game years later, delete one of your saves to start a fourth playthrough. You're sailing to your next destination when all of a sudden something you never experienced starts happening. The music gets sinister, the skies darken, and in the distance blue embers can be seen. With a chill down your spine you get closer to investigate, then all of a sudden, a big ghostly ship appears. You pass right through it, turn the camera around, but it's gone. The skies clear, the music returns to normal, and you don't see it again.

I immediately ran to my bed to grab my iPod to take some pictures, thinking I’d just caught some ultra-rare Easter egg. I still have those photos. Your videos are topics I speak to myself on a daily bases, I love Zelda Lore. I’ve grown up with it. It’s my LOTR.
None of this is new information, it’s just interesting, way more interesting than the past 8 years of Zelda. That’s proven every time these topic videos are made by true fans. On 30y games. I like “Echos” a lot, cause it’s story. Would love your take on its story.
“They never cared about the story” has never been true.

Honestly, the Knights Academy at night is the most unsettling place for me in the entire series. Partially because you have to spend a lot of time there, but mostly the uncanny valley nature of a peaceful place holding weird secrets at night always made me more unsettled than the intentionally creepy places in other titles.

For the big poes in Oot Hyrule Field, I think another reason they're in the fields is because of the poor state Hyrule is in after the Ganondorf's takeover, thus making them appear more often as Hyrule gets worse plus they also harbor a strong hatred towards the world

How did you mention Arbiter's Grounds without mentioning one of the more terrifying spirits, the Death Sword. I kinda get it since they toe the line between a ghost and a physical manifestation, but I think they at least deserve lipservice.
Not much is known of them, but my headcanon is in life, he was Ganondorf's righthand man, and served him faithfully. But he was executed around the same time Ganondorf was to be executed. Ganondorf survived his execution, but his righthand man didn't, the spirit of whom went on to imprint upon his former master's sword (since by the time we see Ganondorf, he only wields the Sword of the Sage, which he acquired during his execution. The sword he had before then is otherwise unaccounted for). The Death Sword was clearly a malevolent spirit, so the wardens used paper talismans resembling ufuda to keep them under control. Until you come along, and sever one of the restraints, freeing the Death Sword.

I know Nintendo stated the OoT Link is the hero's shade, but in my mind that just doesn't fit. Shade is what we call the shadow of a tree. Trees tend to give shade rather than cast shadows. The opposite can be said of parents. The phrase having big shoes to fill, or when i was your age i was already slaying evil and saving the world. Imagine being the child of a Link a legit hero wielder of the master sword. Imagine living your life training to learn dads skills. Skills only you can learn due to the blood and spirit of the hero bit. Just to hear that Gannondorf got beat by regular soldiers and "executed" by the sages. Sounds like a good reason not to pass on to me.

I went ghost hunting a lot as a teenager. Recording EVP, trying out Quija boards and other methods. I've explored tons of abandonded buildings in my day as well. A hospital (including the morgue), a former insane asymlum, a whole ghost town, and a local graveyard. But I never really found anything I couldn't explain in retrospect. And trust me, we looked far and wide ^^
