I hope the next game keeps the 48 track standard 8DX set. Yeah, 8DX is a rerelease with 8’s DLC bundled in, but considering it’s been the most recent MK game for the last 7 years, I couldn’t imagine going back to 32 tracks.

Also, if the Base 8DX course count is to be the minimum standard for the series from then on, every major Mario Kart could be equally represented with 3 courses each
(8 games x 3 courses each = 24 retro courses), plus some retros have *only* been remade in Tour (GBA Cheep Cheep, Yoshi Desert, GBA BC4, Wii DDR) and that game's on life support, plus some haven't been remade a 2nd time since 2005/ 2008 (N64 DK Jungle Parkway, Banshee my beloved, DS Delfino and half of 3DS' selection).
theres a remake in retrorewind for mkwii and its pretty cool, it pictures it in like a tropical forest enviornment, kinda like the beach worlds in new super mario bros games, not sure where they will go with it in the next game though
Great video idea
Toad's Factory man, that's the good stuff
finally someone recognizes the Wuhu Island tracks, most underrated tracks in the series imo
If toad’s factory isn’t in Mario kart 9 I will start world war three
Both Wario Stadium N64 and Wario Colosseum are in my I WANT IT NOW category with GCN and GBA Rainbow Road
4:39 it is possible to make it over the gap with a feather, it's just not nearly as free as the other feather cuts in the game. I also don't get how this is the worst track in the series when 1, N64 Wario Stadium exists, and 2, it's actually one of the few good tracks in Super.
W take on Wuhu Island tracks. There's been a lot of nostalgia for Resort/Wuhu lately and I hope Nintendo has noticed. Honestly we need a Switch Sports Resort for the Switch 2 or something.
Glad I’m not the only who feels the same way about mkds rainbow roads song, being little and first playing it had that feeling like “this is it, this is the end”
For anyone who wants a full list, here’s a full list of the tracks that have never received a remake, a feature on Tour, or a feature in Mario Kart 8 deluxe:
Super Mario Kart: Mario Circuit 4, Ghost Valley 2, Koopa Beach 1, Bowser’s Castle 1, Bowser’s Castle 2.
Mario Kart 64: Wario Stadium (Mario Kart 64).
Mario Kart Super Circuit: Broken Pier, Rainbow Road (Super Circuit)
Mario Kart Double Dash: Mushroom city, Wario Colosseum, Bowser’s Castle (Double Dash).
Mario Kart DS: Figure 8 circuit, Bowser’s Castle (DS), Rainbow Road (DS).
Mario Kart Wii: Luigi’s circuit. Mario Circuit (Wii), Toads factory, Bowser’s Castle (Wii).
Mario Kart 7: Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu.
It's actually Ghost Valley 3 that hasn't been remade and you also forgot Double Dash Rainbow Road
The end of Maka Wuhu ran so the end of Mount Wario coming down that slope could walk
Could not agree more about the Wuhu Island tracks. I love Wuhu Island and the fact that the tracks haven't been remade yet is an absolute crime
Fantastic video, I hope it gets more views!
I agree. The Wuhu Island tracks need to get remade, Mario Kart 7 is the first game I have ever played, so these hold a very special place in my heart
17:29 bowser committed unalive 💀
🤓☝️ Erm, actually, that's a shortcut
18:46 "they got to preserve them somehow"
oh that's such a good joke
I hope the next game keeps the 48 track standard 8DX set. Yeah, 8DX is a rerelease with 8’s DLC bundled in, but considering it’s been the most recent MK game for the last 7 years, I couldn’t imagine going back to 32 tracks.
It was insane GCN Wario Colosseum wasn’t in og Mario Kart 8.
It was insane Wario Colosseum wasn’t in the og Mario Kart 8 DLC.
It was insane Wario Colosseum wasn’t in the Mario Kart 8 DX DLC.
It would be absolutely perfect for the antigravity physics. It would be a top 3 track in Mario Kart 8 DX (among all tracks) had it been included. Its lack is perhaps the most confusing thing Nintendo has ever done.
for BC1, theres potential imo. you could make the straightaway after the second turn a half pipe with spikeballs rolling between it or smth. and have the straightaway after the first turn just be a glider section
I would love to see some Mario Kart Arcade tracks get remastered in the next game.
we have odyssey central at home:
Jokes aside, great video and interesting takes.
Very toxic and rude joke.
@@TheFirstCurse1 Nah he sounds kinda like him and the editing style is very reminiscent of Odyssey central, and as I said, "jokes aside, great video and interesting takes". Read the comment before you reply I clearly indicated that this is meant in no way to offend him.
@@Wombattuus The "jokes aside" part only goes so far. You're calling him a cheap knockoff and that's extremely toxic. Please delete your comment.
@@TheFirstCurse1 Have you heard of a joke? I don't think you have. I said he is SIMILAR to odyssey central, and this is clearly a joke, hell, I even complemented his video after. You're the one that should delete your comment because clearly, you don't know how to read, much less take a joke not even directed at you.
@@Wombattuus "iT's JuSt A jOkE" isn't an excuse. You were toxic and sh**** and put this RUclipsr down for no reason. This behavior is unnacceptable. Delete your comment and learn from this.
I very liked this video!
I am actually so incredibly happy we didn't see woohoo island butured with the new dlc pack...
One of these days Nintendo has got to realize how much people love Wuhu Island, and when that happens, I’ll be waiting in the wings
