I would like to mention Island Tour’s Sky’d and Seek as a contender for the worse Minigame in that entry. The concept is fine enough, but the scoring system killed it for me. You guess how many Paragoombas and Paratroopas ended up in the cloud at the end, with some entering and leaving, while others stay inside. All the while you use the stylus to take notes on the bottom screen. The issue is that you are awarded ONE point each by getting the exact number correctly. Any other number would give you nothing. That means with how the scoring system is set up, with 0, 1, and 2 being the only numbers involved, there are bound to be ties (Which in the party mode gets broken by a dice roll). If the scoring system is based on how close to the answer you have, rather than getting the number exactly, this game would be perfectly fine.
4:59 I've rarely pulled this off with friends or family growing up, but somehow guessing the correct cannon with all 3 players inside is the BEST feeling you could ever get.
So, another fun fact about MP4’s Fish n’ Drips that works against the team of 3 (albeit rarely): The team doesn’t win the minigame when they press the final button, but rather when they turn around and flip their bucket into the water. The solo player, however, wins the moment they press that last button. So that can create a scenario where the team finished pressing all their buttons first & thus completed the task first… and yet the SOLO PLAYER still wins because their water-pumping animation happens before the bucket-flipping animation starts. EDIT: Also, I’m gonna be the Devil’s Advocate for a sec. 11:32 - The mic isn’t perfect, for sure. But this clip was just a blatant instance of using it wrong and that being the player’s fault. No microphone accessory in a video game is going to be perfect, but if you aren’t using it how the game is plainly requesting you use it, then I say an instance like this can’t be used as a valid criticism against the game/mic.
Mario Party 3 has a minigame called Cheep Cheep Chase that is quite literally impossible to win against super hard cpus. As a result, i believe that has to be the worst minigame!
@danielsolomon6211 my friends and I have hundreds of hours on mp3 and we have never beaten it. The only way I could see it being possible is if the cpus died to the fish/mines but that's never happened. Their a presses are inhuman
Great video as always! I especially agree with MP7, it's basically MP1's Single Player Minigame mechanic except manages to be worse in every conceivable way. Only one minigame, and it's more unbalanced since you can get up to 99 coins for free (unless the microphone decides to hate you in that moment and you lose 99 coins through no fault of your own). Like, how do you even do that. Small nitpick I have, at 6:45 you forgot Slime Time from 4. Understandable, it's a weird nothingburger of a masher, everyone remembers Domination way more, but it's special to me because it's the very first Mario Party minigame I played, in a Wal-Mart demo setup of all places. (Had no idea which game it actually was, and ended up buying all the other GC games except 4 lol, but hey one of those was 6 which is still my favorite)
I remember being in a vc with you once and having a very long (but still fun) debate on how Jamboree stacks up against old Mario Party games. Agree to disagree on a lot of things, but I do like that wherever someone sits on sides of the debate, people can unanimously agree that either Gate Keypers or Hot Cross Blocks is the worst game in there. By luck, my roommates and I got HCB as our first minigame, and the quality of it scared me a little bit for the rest of the game to come.
Another awesome video! Thank you so much for your continued content, it's exceptionally well done and has great production value! Your videos and content have made 2024 a lot more enjoyable, during what has otherwise been a pretty bad year.
I have legit seen a group of friends get Gate Key-pers and I kid you not the first three all got the correct gate first try, leaving the fourth with nothing
I cannot believe crate and peril isn't your pick for worst mp6 minigame, I think it's probably the single most unbalanced 1v3 of all time and that is saying a lot with the series track record in that deparment
1 v 3 are too me probably the hardest to balance you need to think of the concept of the game to work with a single person doing the same thing as the three with it being fun and balance
I think we can all agree that M.P.I.Q is the worst minigame in the entire series. It's supposed to be a full trivia minigame, but EVERY TIME YOU PLAY IT WITH OTHERS IT JUST DEVOLVES INTO EVERYONE MASHING. It's such a fun minigame, but everyone always ruins it >:(
It's not a bad idea, but just had unforseen consequences due to the nature of the hard plastic joystick. Modern ones have a soft rubber cap. It's a shame because mechanically it's kind of fun to spin the stick as fast as possible and I personally enjoyed the minigames that used it, but there's factoring potentially destroying the control stick alignment from wear and tear faster.... it's a compromise. (personally I wish they brought back Paddle Battle though. Something about the 1 vs 3 nature of the minigame where a solo guy pushes 3 opponents at a bank to see them stabbed by a Shyguy was just so amusing to me, but I guess it's mechanically similar to Tug of War...I still prefered paddle Battle though.)
The worst part about gate key-pers is that in order to 100% it the game requires you to win in first place. If one cpu gets it before you you have to either go back to the hot air balloon or wait either way it’s the worst luck based mini game I’ve ever played.
I think the problem with the GCN mic is that it's looking for the higher pitches of their target demographic. The bonus card game never gave me any trouble when I played 14 years ago.
What's extra "fun" about Gate Key-pers is that it's one of the minigames you have to play in the story mode and if you're wanting to 100% said mode, you'll have to get 1st place in Gate Key-pers So you have to either hope you get picked to go first and luck out on the key/gate you pick, or hope the CPUs don't luck out before you do And this all wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that _you can't quit the minigame early, _*_you have to sit through the rest of it in its entirety if you don't get 1st_* Now that said, would I personally call Gate Key-pers the worst in Jamboree? Nah, not even close, if only because you have to very mildly use your brain to keep tabs on what key didn't work on what gate, which is more than can be said for Bowser's Big Blast where you're basically just rolling a d5 at all times and there's literally nothing else going on otherwise Personally, I think Unfriendly Flying Object or whatever it was called is worse, because it just feels horrifically unfair for the 1 outside of a specific cheese strat where you try to flip a four spike platform to get some area denial against the 3 And dishonorable mention to that one 1v3 snowball fight minigame that's also hideously rigged against the 1-I know it's from an older entry, hence why it's just a dishonorable mention, I just don't remember which game it's from
It's seriously worth stressing that there's no use even trying in games that are luck. If there's little to no skill involved, do nothing or go to the closest option.
25:08 Not to mention if you play this minigame in partner party, if your teamate loses, you still win. SO THAT MEANS THAT NO MATTER WHAT, EVERYONE WINS THIS MINIGAME SO IT'S JUST A COMPLETE WAIST OF TIME.
It was a pleasant surprise seeing a video from you before the holidays. Been watching your videos since high school I'm 24 now. Wish you a happy holidays, Silokhawk.
my quick list (played too much of these games) 1: Paddle Battle (35 seconds of rotating the stick) 2: Crane Game (3 players do nothing, lasts forever, nothing happens, dogshit) 3: Tidal Toss (one of the most unbalanced 1v3s ever, never seen the 1 win and even if they get a good hit on the 3 they just react to the next wave. spotlight swim and mpiq were contenders tho) 4: Fish n Drips or Money Belts (both incredibly unbalanced but money belts is particularly bad because it gives the solo player so much free money that ALSO contributes to their minigame star without even trying) 5: Mathletes (you just hit a dice block and maybe get a lot of coins, nothing to it, at least it’s quick ig) 6: Crate and Peril (might be the most one sided minigame of all time like genuinely what do you do) 7: Light Speed (one of the worst duel minigames ever, you just eat your enemies path and win) 8: Rudder Madness (incredibly slow, nothing happens, winner is heavily determined by spawn position, VERY bad) 9: Toad and Go Seek (nothing game, you run forward to the house and mash a on it, feels psuedo rng based) 10: Peepa Panic (slow af, boring, no penalty for getting hit, not competitive, awful. mega mechakoopa is also a runner up for how monotonous and low skill it is) Super: Don’t Wake Wiggler (think the video speaks for itself, just awful luck minigame) Superstars: Piranha’s Pursuit (45 seconds of just watching the 1 player receive 10-20 coins) Jamboree: DK’s Konga Line specifically when it’s played on the board, if not counting that then it’s Tricky Turntable (the advantage is so insane that the player who has it will NEVER lose, so you just sit there for 3 fuckin minutes and watch them get a friend on a silver platter, plus the song never changes, music isn’t even good, and it’s MURDERED by lag. turntable is like 3 minutes long, barely gives any money, feels very low skill, and the first couple rounds don’t even matter, one of the worst 2v2s in the series)
I was surprised that Gate Key-pers wasn't round based. Like, the first 3 who get the correct key move on to another set of gates and every round 1 player is removed until we have 1 winner. I think that would be have been a better game overall.
I LOVE MP5. Easily the best in the series. Maximum chaos, the last 5 turn events are NUTS, the boards are a little simple but work great. It's the one game I constantly want to play with my friends. MP6 is a close second if I want a more "strategic" game, but MP5 is the BEST party game to play with friends. Don't take it serious, and let the chaos reign! Edit: Also adding in that I also love the doghshit minigames in this game. They are hilariously bad, to the point where with 3 other friends they are SO good.
@ninfan6434 Yeah I'm aware of that but i hate the fact you can't turn it off in certain game modes. Particularly because... *I HAVE ASTHMA* So basically certain modes not letting me turn it off turn it into an RNG game of: "does mario party DS hate my lungs today?"
@@ninfan6434Also wouldn't change the fact those mini games still suck anyway because they're practically all the same except the fuse blowing one. It's the same reason the N64 stick rotating games are terrible.
Honestly half of the MP6 minigames could make this list.... Mario Party 6 has SO many luck based minigames, like 1/3 of the duel minigames are luck or mostly luck and the few skill based ones are just button mashers.
@@MarioMastar Pretty sure Blackhole Boogie is the only mashing duel in MP6 (though I love mashing anyways), and I don't necessarily mind luck-based minigames as long as their presentation makes them exciting. RNG or not, MP6 has plenty of stinkers like Granite Getaway, Trap Ease Artist, Odd Card Out and Treasure Trawlers, but I'm shocked Silok picked Smashdance when Crate and Peril, Insectiride and Garden Grab are literally broken minigames, as in, they don't function how the developers clearly intended them to.
@@fortynights1513 it is _supposed_ to be a reaction minigame; the button pops up on screen and you press it to move on. But you can literally mash every button on your controller at the same time with no punishment, and it's waaaaay faster than reacting.
I actually find the random guessing on MPQ in Mario Party 3 to be very humorous. It just becomes a pure luck game, but you still feel responsible since you made the choice. Obviously you should have chosen green instead of red!
Great video! :) Definitely don't disagree about gate key-pers being terrible. But I think some of the showdown minigames are way worse in context. The fact that some of them are practically guaranteed towards the player with advantage like DK and Rosa, but you still have to play through them when they are all the most drawn out 3 minute long games just feels awful. Also the feeling of having a showdown activated on the final turn of the already 2 hour long 15 turn game where the buddy can't possibly have any conceivable impact on the game is one of the most miserable feelings in Mario Party.
2:38 *proceeds to completely forget that you can adjust the distance you throw your hand to* hell, even the footage you're using looks like its using emulated controls. How are you not gonna mention it at all, but mention it for mp2's bob-omb minigame @ 1:46???
That transition into my childhood favorite Mario party 8 was super clean! But to me I definitely have to say that aim the game is a dull game, but it can be fun at times to me, but I will also say that the shake up is one of the dumbest minigames in existence to me.
I’m so glad clips from the birthday stream made it in here. That was such a good stream. (The hide and go boom one was easily the highlight of the stream.) Also the line in the sand situation on stream is still crazy to me lmao
You have to complete the Star Battle Arena to unlock Blooper and Hammer Bro. RNG determines who you face in Bowser’s Warped Orbit the first run, but then you simply have to do SBA again as the character you unlocked to get the other
I actually like what they did with platform peril. I love the original, but the new one does offer some more platforming as you try to optimize how many coins you get. I understand the hate, but I still think it’s fun.
Mario Party 7 at LEAST has the option to make it so you don't need a mic to play mic minigames, and opt for a menu instead But now that it works, the minigame is Too easy, and because it's double or nothing-- I selected Banana and now im up 99+ coins
I’m honestly pretty surprised that people hate gate key-pers so much. I agree it isn’t great, but I personally think there is more depth to it than picking randomly. There is strategy in either trying to make your choices as confusing as possible (choosing a key that hadn’t been chosen yet on a door that hadn’t been chosen yet) to try to make your opponents forget which combinations have been tried or just keeping it simple to make it easier to keep track of what you chose.
Gatekeepers being so poorly designed is what allowed me to win my first game of Jamboree while going against my two brothers and one of them’s girlfriend so I will forever be grateful to it for that.
24:25 how dare you, this was one of my favorite mini games in Mario party 8 actually, for the sole reason that my older sister somehow never figured out what the best five cards were to get, and so I beat her literally every single time and got all the money
Also for Gate Keypers I think I would love to see Luigi loses by doing absolutely nothing if only to combat the Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing meme videos.
Bold of you to assume tug-o-war from Mario Party 1 isn't the worst... in any game of it, if there's even one person on the other side of the match who actually makes a solid attempt, you've got no choice but to shred a layer of the skin on your palm as you palm and rotate the analogue. This was especially horrid on the classic N64 controller where the analogue stick had NO RUBBER.
I think Jamborees biggest issue is the pacing as a single turn can last almost 10 minutes. 3 minute long minigames shouldn’t be a thing. They’re not mini anymore at that point. Jamboree is still the best Switch Mario Party game, and honestly the closest we’ll get to feeling like classic mario party. I highly recommend it, and lowkey having a “ranked” mode is cool albeit flawed
At least with the microphone minigames in Mario Party DS, you don't _have_ to blow into the mic See all you have to do is grab your system, grab an air horn, bring it close- 📢😑
M.P.I.Q. does sortaaaaa make sense considering Hudson had done a lot of IQ-quiz games before their demise, but the fact it exists even with that knowledge makes me sad and piss myself in anger
something i find funny about jamborees minigame selection is that its hyped up to have the largest selection of minigames but the number is heavily ballooned by all its extra modes and gimmicks. which means the selection of minigames actually playable on the boards is made out to be a lot smaller. also why is ndcube obsessed with the stupid quiz style minigames
You’re right that the mic mini games in Mario Party DS are mostly bad, but I think the battle minigame where you have to blow the bomb carefully to try and make it blow up on the next guy is really funny and one of my favs in the game
The car was not a terrible concept for a board game in my opinion, it’s just that Mario Party 9 was not the game that people who were fans of the series wanted to play in 2012 after 4-5 years of no releases.
For Jamboree, what if gate keepers was a free for all? Everyone picking keys at the same time and trying all the gates, but with a timer so nobydo can be held histage by that one player who doesnt want to drop the key... Or just punch them....
If it worked like the Mario Party 3 version I think it'd not make this list. that one may have some luck based on spawn position, but at least you can fight your way through. This one is just Bowser's Big Blast but you give your opponents information when you fail instead of failing immediately. and the fact that you have to win in the Solo mode just makes it a "keep trying til your lucky" time waster...I got LUCKY that I won first try.... but I knew then and there I never wanted to see that minigame again.
Ngl playng as a child and recently replaying 8, i dont get the unresponsive claims of spectre inspector. Granted it is a weird control scheme, but it works as is intended
I totally agree with what you said about Jamboree's ally minigames. They are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long! Also, I don't HATE Gate Keypers, but I will say it's definitely one of the weaker games in Jamboree.
19:54 I think I even hate the concept of this minigame because this is just bullying the fat or slow kid at recess/ gym class with a sub teacher whether you were that kid as the one being bullying or doing it, the one just never gets to have fun and it's like the three get to be Cranky Kong and tell the one to "Git gud"
Mario party 4 is my absolute favorite game in the series. Yes it was the one I grew up with but I have played the Mario parties and while the boards aren’t the best (don’t get me started on Koopa’s map) but damn those mini games are awesome.

13:00 I straight up blew out my 3DS microphone playing the candle minigame from Mario party DS 💀
Mario Party 3 has a minigame called Cheep Cheep Chase that is quite literally impossible to win against super hard cpus. As a result, i believe that has to be the worst minigame!
is it actually impossible? Or just extremely difficult and theres maybe a few people out there that can beat it
@danielsolomon6211 my friends and I have hundreds of hours on mp3 and we have never beaten it. The only way I could see it being possible is if the cpus died to the fish/mines but that's never happened. Their a presses are inhuman
@addisonbudka3734 that's pretty funny. this is a challenge worthy of a bounty
@@danielsolomon6211 if you can beat it against the super hard cpus and provide proof then I will Venmo you $5
What about Ridiculous Relay? I've never seen the team of 3 win that.
Thank you!
Yeah I goofed and forgot the mini even existed lol, let alone the fact it's in MP4 specifically 😅
It's such a fun minigame, but everyone always ruins it >:(
Saw Flip The Chimp, clicked. I’ve only ever won that mini game once
Thumbnail: Chris Pratt sees a monkey and gets emotional
Who thought having people rotate the stick was a good idea?
on solid plastic (N64 controller) is horrible.. it's better on the switch joystick than the original
And then bringing the same minigame back for Mario Party Top 100, when the 3DS Circle Pad is also prone to breaking if you’re too rough with it
It was me. In hindsight it wasn't a very good plan
Probably someone as stupid as the people who would willingly give themselves blisters to win Mario Party.
What's extra "fun" about Gate Key-pers is that it's one of the minigames you have to play in the story mode and if you're wanting to 100% said mode, you'll have to get 1st place in Gate Key-pers
So you have to either hope you get picked to go first and luck out on the key/gate you pick, or hope the CPUs don't luck out before you do
And this all wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that _you can't quit the minigame early, _*_you have to sit through the rest of it in its entirety if you don't get 1st_*
Now that said, would I personally call Gate Key-pers the worst in Jamboree?
Nah, not even close, if only because you have to very mildly use your brain to keep tabs on what key didn't work on what gate, which is more than can be said for Bowser's Big Blast where you're basically just rolling a d5 at all times and there's literally nothing else going on otherwise
Personally, I think Unfriendly Flying Object or whatever it was called is worse, because it just feels horrifically unfair for the 1 outside of a specific cheese strat where you try to flip a four spike platform to get some area denial against the 3
And dishonorable mention to that one 1v3 snowball fight minigame that's also hideously rigged against the 1-I know it's from an older entry, hence why it's just a dishonorable mention, I just don't remember which game it's from
the snow brawl minigame Is from 6
It's seriously worth stressing that there's no use even trying in games that are luck. If there's little to no skill involved, do nothing or go to the closest option.
I had to play Gate Key-pers in the story mode where you have to get first place and it took me ELEVEN tries to finally do it
Why did mario party 2 get such a glazing intro and mario party 3 was done so dirty
Wish you a happy holidays, Silokhawk.
my quick list (played too much of these games)
1: Paddle Battle (35 seconds of rotating the stick)
2: Crane Game (3 players do nothing, lasts forever, nothing happens, dogshit)
3: Tidal Toss (one of the most unbalanced 1v3s ever, never seen the 1 win and even if they get a good hit on the 3 they just react to the next wave. spotlight swim and mpiq were contenders tho)
4: Fish n Drips or Money Belts (both incredibly unbalanced but money belts is particularly bad because it gives the solo player so much free money that ALSO contributes to their minigame star without even trying)
5: Mathletes (you just hit a dice block and maybe get a lot of coins, nothing to it, at least it’s quick ig)
6: Crate and Peril (might be the most one sided minigame of all time like genuinely what do you do)
7: Light Speed (one of the worst duel minigames ever, you just eat your enemies path and win)
8: Rudder Madness (incredibly slow, nothing happens, winner is heavily determined by spawn position, VERY bad)
9: Toad and Go Seek (nothing game, you run forward to the house and mash a on it, feels psuedo rng based)
10: Peepa Panic (slow af, boring, no penalty for getting hit, not competitive, awful. mega mechakoopa is also a runner up for how monotonous and low skill it is)
Super: Don’t Wake Wiggler (think the video speaks for itself, just awful luck minigame)
Superstars: Piranha’s Pursuit (45 seconds of just watching the 1 player receive 10-20 coins)
Jamboree: DK’s Konga Line specifically when it’s played on the board, if not counting that then it’s Tricky Turntable (the advantage is so insane that the player who has it will NEVER lose, so you just sit there for 3 fuckin minutes and watch them get a friend on a silver platter, plus the song never changes, music isn’t even good, and it’s MURDERED by lag. turntable is like 3 minutes long, barely gives any money, feels very low skill, and the first couple rounds don’t even matter, one of the worst 2v2s in the series)
At least Paddle Battle from MP1 gave us PERFECT ROTATION
I’d say Pipe Maze for 1.
It’s a 1 vs 3 mini game where the three do nothing
I was surprised that Gate Key-pers wasn't round based. Like, the first 3 who get the correct key move on to another set of gates and every round 1 player is removed until we have 1 winner. I think that would be have been a better game overall.
Yeah, it could've been fun like the Mario Party 3 version ,but instead it's just Bowser's Big Blast but somehow worse....
Round based would have made MUCH more sense if they could have sped it up somehow, for sure.
YAYYYY 30 MINUTE SILOK VIDEOOOOO
the mic minigames in 7 being so ass is what made them so much fun with friends.
Words cannot describe my utter hatred for the mic games in mario party DS.
kid named no mic option:
@ninfan6434 Yeah I'm aware of that but i hate the fact you can't turn it off in certain game modes.
Particularly because...
*I HAVE ASTHMA*
So basically certain modes not letting me turn it off turn it into an RNG game of: "does mario party DS hate my lungs today?"
@@ninfan6434Also wouldn't change the fact those mini games still suck anyway because they're practically all the same except the fuse blowing one. It's the same reason the N64 stick rotating games are terrible.
@@404Errored Well, if push comes to shove…
You could resort to an air horn
@ArshadZahid_nohandleideas bruh I don't even know what to say to that. 😂
Not picking Crate and Peril for MP6 is insane
@@GerasSBWhy is Garden Grab broken in your opinion?
@@fortynights1513 it is _supposed_ to be a reaction minigame; the button pops up on screen and you press it to move on. But you can literally mash every button on your controller at the same time with no punishment, and it's waaaaay faster than reacting.
6:52
You forgot Slime Time in Mario Party 4
Slime Time is kinda mid
25:08 Friendly reminder Mario Party 7 had one like this with the mic and the balloon except the winner was decided by someone else besides you
I actually love gate keepers because its so incredibly funny when the first player guesses wrong and all subsequent players guess right.
"Babe wake up, new SilokHawk mario vid just dropped!!"
2:38 *proceeds to completely forget that you can adjust the distance you throw your hand to*
hell, even the footage you're using looks like its using emulated controls. How are you not gonna mention it at all, but mention it for mp2's bob-omb minigame @ 1:46???
"My Mario Party has no pathetic games, but it does contain the unstoppable Paddle Battle!"
(The hide and go boom one was easily the highlight of the stream.)
Also the line in the sand situation on stream is still crazy to me lmao
lol ofc you played as blooper in mp8
You have to complete the Star Battle Arena to unlock Blooper and Hammer Bro. RNG determines who you face in Bowser’s Warped Orbit the first run, but then you simply have to do SBA again as the character you unlocked to get the other
Um. Thanks for the info Jasmine Johnston
@@jasminejohnston6393Bro the question wasn't "how do you have blooper?"
The CPUs also cheat in MP IQ. They can immediately get the correct answer way before the question even finishes.
12:08 I never played MP7 and I am slightly frustrated watching how bad the GameCube mic is. I feel this man’s rage.
8:48 I dunno. Everything being in complete chaos as you and your friends try to ground pound buttons and each other sounds pretty fun.
I actually like what they did with platform peril. I love the original, but the new one does offer some more platforming as you try to optimize how many coins you get. I understand the hate, but I still think it’s fun.
This video is only slightly longer than a run of "The Beat Goes On" with good players, and this was actually worth my time unlike that minigame.
Mario Party 7 at LEAST has the option to make it so you don't need a mic to play mic minigames, and opt for a menu instead
But now that it works, the minigame is Too easy, and because it's double or nothing-- I selected Banana and now im up 99+ coins
Haven’t finished the video yet but I SEE THAT FOUR SOULS FONT
Holy shit good eye
Oh hell yeah, perfect lunch content
modern mario party is just so sad man
At least with the microphone minigames in Mario Party DS, you don't _have_ to blow into the mic
See all you have to do is grab your system, grab an air horn, bring it close- 📢😑
This was a great video. I enjoyed seeing you talk about these games; even though I haven't played or don't recall most of the minigames.
Great video!
Haven't seen you in a long time.I never thought about the whats the worst minigame in each mario party, you just opened my 3rd eye
After 2 years yt finally felt the need to recommend me this channel again
M.P.I.Q. does sortaaaaa make sense considering Hudson had done a lot of IQ-quiz games before their demise, but the fact it exists even with that knowledge makes me sad and piss myself in anger
something i find funny about jamborees minigame selection is that its hyped up to have the largest selection of minigames but the number is heavily ballooned by all its extra modes and gimmicks. which means the selection of minigames actually playable on the boards is made out to be a lot smaller.
also why is ndcube obsessed with the stupid quiz style minigames
You’re right that the mic mini games in Mario Party DS are mostly bad, but I think the battle minigame where you have to blow the bomb carefully to try and make it blow up on the next guy is really funny and one of my favs in the game
I miss playing Mario party 9.[for the mini games and music not the car]
The car was not a terrible concept for a board game in my opinion, it’s just that Mario Party 9 was not the game that people who were fans of the series wanted to play in 2012 after 4-5 years of no releases.
Yo I was there when you did the streams for this video. Now it feels odd to see it actually coming out lol.
I also remember that Chimp Flipper game from Mario Party 8 never working properly growing up
For Jamboree, what if gate keepers was a free for all?
Not saying anything about that one drum game in Mario Party 10 is the biggest red flag ever.
I love spectre inspector 😢😢 it felt so cool as a kid to keep replaying it to find all the different characters
saying the choicest voice isn't goated in criminal
19:54 I think I even hate the concept of this minigame because this is just bullying the fat or slow kid at recess/ gym class with a sub teacher whether you were that kid as the one being bullying or doing it, the one just never gets to have fun and it's like the three get to be Cranky Kong and tell the one to "Git gud"
I'd rather not play a game than destroy my arthritic joints but you do you
Mario party 4 is my absolute favorite game in the series.
Yes it was the one I grew up with but I have played the Mario parties and while the boards aren’t the best (don’t get me started on Koopa’s map) but damn those mini games are awesome.
Why don’t you like Koopa’s board?
24:12 I like how after you said the name of the mini game The music just completely stopped like you were a producer saying "no no cut what the fuck was that!?"
Trace Cadets is the worst for MPDS easily. It's literally impossible to beat the CPU there, the idiot sensor always screws you over.
now do the best minigames
