OnTrack Karting Wallingford, CT 2-13-19 League Race 'A' Main ***RAN INTO A ROAD BLOCK***

Well tonight was fun as usual and we only had a small group of racers tonight which was about 15. So with that 15 competitiors it made our now 3 lap qualifier very interesting cause we ran all 15 at one time on the track. Now that actually didn't make as much of difference to me as I was starting off second in line and I had a good kart, BUT my kart had new front tires and all the karts were cold due to a slightly slow day. As I started out on my first lap obviously the front of the gripped but the rear of the kart did not so that also made it a little hard to get a good lap. At the end my best was only a 38.137 and that put me 8th in the race for position for the feature race. In the position race I was only able to pick up one spot from my starting place of 8th and ended the race in 7th with a fastest lap of 37.340...and that was in the same kart as qualifying...yep, it warmed up lol! So now we're in the feature race starting 7th and I drew the #4 kart and I was pretty happy about that cause I knew that kart had good torque. So at the drop of the green I was slight bit off but was able to make up a spot by the second turn and then another a couple turns later all in the first lap, so now I believe I'm up to 5th and making up good ground to the front of the pack, and then came the second lap and this is where PETE aka LEFT gets his shout out in this discription due to the road block that he created lol, and this is where my race paused on the second lap. As the race continued I was able to make it back to 8th by the end of the race with the fastest lap of the race...36.924, surprizingly I was the only one hitting 36, but I'll take it lol!!
