OnTrack Karting Wallingford, CT 4-24-19 League Race 'A' Main ***RACING HARD--STAYING CONSISTANT***

So this race was fun and aggrevating for me because of driving characteristics of karts. I'm constantly adjusting braking and turn in points and in comparison to straight line speed the luck of the draw has not been in my favor the last couple of races. As I will say karts have been more consistant as a whole, they're are still those hot shots in the field that will just drive away from you on the straights and thats frustrating to me. So I qualified 4th in the 3 lap qualifier of the second qualifying and finished 3rd in the 17 lap qualifying position race which put me 6th for the feature race. But we have started something new to change things up by picking chips to change up the race and tonight was "first place starts last", so that started me 5th. I picked the #6 kart and fell back almost immediately by the 2nd or 3rd lap, but thanks to some fighting for position up ahead of me a couple laps later I was able to squeeze back to 3rd. So real quick qualifying lap: 37.913, 17 lap position race: 37.250, feature race: 37.396. In the feature race I averaged laps of 37.4 to 37.5 with the race winner averaging 37.2 to 37.3.
