I fear many of us fell for Jane at first sight. I got to meet her in about 1996 while she was in frosted during an in-store appearance. She was cool, and I spoke to her without sounding like an idiot. It was a good day.
@@nadzee7101 Lucky!!!!! That gorgeous woman, literally stole my [then] young heart as soon as I saw her on MTV, 'ya know that channel that actually use to play music videos. ✌️
This was co-written by the late great Terry Hall of the Fun Boy Three, The Specials and The Colourfield fame, when he and Jane Wiedlin were an 'item', the FBT did their own cover later, sadly missed RIP 🇬🇧
When I was little I had the BIGGEST crush on Belinda Carlisle lol. Iconic band! Their debut album went to #1 - something no other all-female band that performed their own material has done to this day.
Really good fun song, very catchy with the vocals of Belinda Carlisle who went on to be a great solo artiste. A slower version of this song was done by Fun Boy Three who included Terry Hall of The Specials-Colin Ward
Written by Jane Wiedlan and the late Terry Hall. This is 1 of the classic songs 🎵 from The Go-Go's 👌. I like the "keyboard" sounds from Charlotte Caffey.
Jane Weidlin co-wrote this with Tom Hall of The Specials and Fun Boy Three. The Fun Boy Three version is darker. This is about an affair the two had when the two bands toured together.
That girl's that song stiff. The girl that sings this song here. I know where I would have liked for her to hide her lips build. Hey, you could have found a part to sell her lips back in the day. She would have done it
Late 1981 the Go-Go's opened for the band The Police, the Go-Go's blew them out of the water for the whole concert. The Police performance was Bland it was all the same beat the same rhythm there was no imagination to the different songs they played it was a headache they gave me a splitting headache. The Go-Go's top drawer. Try out the rest of their songs on this one first album of theirs. Always will be my favorite album of theirs ,thank you.
Lead singer Belinda Carlisle went on to have the most successful solo career of all the girls in the band with multiple hit albums, compared to the groundbreaking Go-Go's original three. At 65 she's still recording believe it or not.
you dance to this perfecto. I heard this on for the first time on the high school bus and I remember my first reaction: Ok this is not the cutting edge of cool but damn I like this a hella lot. Still do.
Too bad you didn't play the original music video to this which introduced the most famous and successful all-girl band to the world. Either way it's lip-synced in both videos.
Always loved the part where Jane Wiedlin comes in with her vocals. So cute.
and the harmonies after! :)
I fell in love with Jane Wiedlin as soon as I saw her. Oh, where have the years gone? Still love you, Jane ❤❤❤🌹 🌹.
Back off, she's mine
@@jamesellis701 lol.. You wish!
.. But so do I. ✌️😎

I'm 24 getting old fast people 10years ago I didn't hate anyone now I hate almost everyone
Always my favorite Go Go's song, and (IMO) one of the catchiest and most infectiously bopping tunes from the '80s. Loved the chair dancing!

My niece was in middle school and being bullied and I played this song for her and it meant the world to her ❤️

Jane was my 5th grade crush.

Go Go's was a cool commercial all girl concept and this was a big hit for them. Belinda Carlyle has a great unique voice!! ❤🎉🎶
Go, Angela ! 🙃

Jane was always the most interesting Go Go to me. Love her Tangled solo album. Primo ear candy.

And YOU look Fabulous while listening to this ❤
Great song, I've loved the Go-Go's since 1981.

Two years before I graduated from high school!!!

You must check out "We Got The Beat" by GoGo's
Great review! My favorite part of this song was always the woman singing at 2:15.
Some of the coolest women ever born right there.
Fun song! I’ve always enjoyed this

Big in the LA club scene in late 70s and early 80s. They were known as party girls and for inviting guys from audience to join them backstage 😉 👿
Jam on Angela
Sister Rosetta Tharp & Big Momma Thorton 👍
