Yeah the voice assistant seem very handy. I hate having to look down to change climate control temps or having to stop somewhere because I need to go through the sat nav menus - it's very distracting. The voice assistant will be very helpful!

I’ve been waiting for the release of the new A class and finally got to test drive and experience the new tech. Fell in love with it immediately and cant wait to take delivery in a couple of weeks. Yet another great in depth review.
Collecting mine tomorrow in black. I have watched countless videoes absolute in love and I have to say, this is the best most comprehensive and useful review I have seen. And I didn't even actually like the intro...the rest of the content was that good to negate that for me. Bravo! Incredibly excited now
One point you forgot to mention with the rear lights is they are now split between tailgate and bodyside. This makes the boot opening much larger than the outgoing model. That model was compromised as the lights were completely in the bodyside intruding into the boot aperture opening width. Great review and I loved the generated images of the new A45 👍🏼👍🏼
Beautiful interior apart from the indicator/gear stalks.I hope Mercedes uses the higher quality indicator/gear stalks for the AMG version, (same as the ones on the C class and above) because these plastic stalks look awful.
FYI: the showed wheels (grey one) are actually only available in 18" max. They have a second colorway in europe though. There are several 19" wheels (all AMG) in germany, when configuring.
The technology embedded in this car is only surpassed by the graphics technology you adopt in your remarkably unique review. I.e. fit-for-purpose intro, showing different configurations and future assumptions live on reviewed model. You stand out from the rest of the world's reviewers and it's a spot on. For future reviews, I additionally suggest showing all exterior colors with different interior combinations, comparing driving dynamics, demonstrating effective use of technology advanced features, suggesting 3rd party modifications, etc.Thank you, wishing you all the success and two thumbs up.

Did a testdrive with it a few days ago and besides that I already liked the looks of the interior and how easy it is to use everything, I was even more suprised with the ride. My parents have a cla and it’s like day and night in terms of driving experience. The A-class really stepped up his game, the ride was so smooth and it was really fun. Even though it’s not a sportscar, it’s more than just a car to go from A to B. Of course there are a few minors, but every car has it. But it’s nothing compared to all the positive things it has in my opinion. I really want to try a C or even an E-class to feel how big the difference still is in terms of comfort, cause this one is just amazing to cruise in. However I’m a petrolhead so I like to have more punch xD hence to why I got a Focus ST instead of the previous A-class, 1-series or A3. And because of an interesting discount I couldn’t get on the Focus RS, the price gap became really big. I’m happy I did go for the ST, cause I saved quite a bit of money compared to the RS which I can now use on one of the amg versions of this amazing car. Ever since the this A-class got revealed, I was extremely curious to see what the amg version would be like. Now there are going to be 2 and apparently even 3 versions. A35 which already is more powerfull than my ST, has awd compared to fwd and automatic compared to my manual. But then there will also be an A45 with over 400hp, aiming at a 4second sprint to 100kph... I’ve heard about 4matic+ instead of the normal 4matic, updated suspension and even an 8-speed automatic. On top of that the local dealerships are also talking about an A45 S... If they already called the current A45 a pocket rocket, what will this be xD I’m so stoked on what the amg’s will be like to drive and of course the price. Unfortunately I don’t have a limitless budget, so I will have a maximum price I won’t cross. I don’t like living on the edge if it’s about money. No point in doing so when having an amg anyway. As big of a fan I am of cars, there is more in life :) So if the A45 will exceed my budget, I will have to settle for the A35, which of course is more than fast enough for daily use. Allthough I will always feel like I’ve missed that last step to the “big brother”. Besides there is also the thought of probably being able to have a good optioned A35 instead of a stock A45. And lets be honest, who would buy an A45 stock? Just for the sake of having one? I mean with all these game changing options, you surely want to have at least a few of them, thus making the A45 even more expensive. So if I want to take the step to an A45, it needs to be one with the options I really want or I would rather look at the A35.
Was the A200 engine not developed in conjunction with Renault-Nissan? So it is not technically a Renault-Nissan engine but one that was co-developed with them kind of like the when BMW did the same with Peugeot and the 1.6thp engine. So some base BMWs and Minis were using the engine which they co-developed and which was being built by Peugeot. So I do not want to hear any people here making silly comments about this engine.
Nice video, great intro! As for the car, well it’s not a BMW... but Mercedes is starting to grow on me 😃! The interior and tech of Mercedes is miles ahead of its rivals..

The UI thing at the start was one of the realest things I've heard. Manufacturers just like to put tech anywhere because they can and don't really think about customer use. Good review! Got a new subscriber!!

I've been driving a Mitsubishi Lancer for the past 12 years, that was described as having a "shark nose" back then, and I just signed the paperwork for an A-class.... So, definitely sharks all the way for me.
An excellent review that covered every aspect of the car easy to follow and very informative, well planed out from the introduction to the end. It was as if we were all there with you. You sold it to me !
Test drove one on Sunday and WOW!!! This is the future!!! Mercedes-Benz Birmingham only had the A200 in but it felt planted and sharp with good throttle response but the solidity struck me more than even the tech which is the biggest draw to this car. Cabin was so classy and felt more premium than any BMW I’ve ever been in or owned. Amazing!!!

Just ordered the exact same car today, arrives mid November. Was cynical of the car at first (coming out of the OG ‘hot hatch’ VW Golf GTI) but after driving (and watching this great review) - I’m buzzing about its arrival.
Got to play a little bit with the MBUX in the A220 sedan at the US Open last weekend. Car wasn't on so after activating it with Hey Mercedes, and it's response, it didn't reply. But people in the car with me got a kick out of it.
Haha my mum and her sister could use this new system vs going through the menus on their W212 E350's. I end up showing them how to enter or entering their destinations when it's a new place. Loved the intro and as usual the editing was great. I really appreciate when you put in the previous model, other versions or as you did here, previewing the AMG version.
Are those seats standard. Throughly enjoyed your video. I'm a VW guy, but I have to say, this car has opened my eyes and I would seriously consider this car over my mk7.5 Golf GTD.
