  • Some cars seem like they were only launched yesterday - for us, that car is the A-Class which has been on our roads since 2018. Of course, a few years on, it's time for an update so join us for an in-depth look at the recently refreshed model.
    The entire compact car range has been getting updated with the new technology we've seen here so make sure to stay tuned to see the facelifted B-Class, CLA, GLA and GLB when they arrive in the UK.

    I have 22' A250 Night pack/ AMG line, wondering why my steering wheel isnt the Flat bottom wheel with the red stitching and perforation, shouldnt that come standard with that package?

    I traded the 2019 A200 I loved for a 2023 CLA200, but the seats absolutely kill my back, so six weeks later I need to sell it. A costly error!
    The sport exec A200 is therefore now top of my list but I have no idea how I'll cope without the trackpad!
    Although it does fit my galaxy S23 perfectly...

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  5 месяцев назад +1

      The lack of trackpad does take some getting used to - I still find myself reaching for it a few months on! As for the seats - CLA Sport Executive, A-Class Sport Executive and A-Class AMG Line saloons all get three-piece seats with adjustable headrests so there is a bit of choice, but still the most comfortable seats available are those in the Sport models.

    • @BoulderDash24
      @BoulderDash24 5 месяцев назад

      @@LandLAutomotive It's interesting re-reading and re-watching reviews of the CLA post purchase just how many make a subtle allusion to the back pain those seats cause many people without being serious about how you MUST get an extended test drive before buying. Hard German seats and appalling English roads are a bad combination

    Hi,
    Great review thank you. On a budget would you go for the Saloon- A200 sport or A180 AMG/sport ?
    I can't afford the A200 AMG ?

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  Год назад +1

      Thank you! The Sport model line is absolutely my pick of the range and I think it's the best value for money. If you are fine without the AMG styling/wheels/pedals/seats, then the A200 Sport is well worth it for that little bit more power and torque over the 180 but with the same tech and convenience features as the AMG Line Executive.

    Great video. My 2021 premium plus A class doesn't have blind spot assist or adaptive cruise control, does the 2023 model come with these? It's difficult to tell from the MB website.

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  Год назад +1

      Thank you! Premium Plus models will now get blind spot assist. I totally forgot to add something about the Driving Assistance package to this video - it's such a rare option to see!
      For Premium Plus models, you can add the Driving Assistance package with adaptive cruise control, active lane change assist, speed limit assist (and quite a bit more) for £1,495. Check out page 48 in the brochure for all the info: tools.mercedes-benz.co.uk/current/passenger-cars/e-brochures/A-Class_SR112022.pdf?ga=2.232245276.2044865122.1662969167-383169770.1662542633&tgroup=realTarget

      The A200d 's on offer from Mercedes direct atm do not have either ..that is poor. No wonder they have them reduced.

    Someone just totaled my 2020 A220. Will this refresh be available in the US?

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  11 месяцев назад

      The A-Class has been removed from sale in the US; the last models available were the 2022 model year. The CLA coupé will continue to be sold alongside the GLA and both those models have had the same tech and interior updates as this new A-Class.
      From what I've read, the first refreshed CLA coupés should be arriving in the US this year.

    I was looking at the 2023 facelift A45 AMG but the price seems crazy high at £63000 compared to the previous model which was around £50k

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  Год назад +2

      A lot of that price jump is because it launched in in two equipment levels in 2020 before the "entry level" was dropped from the UK in 2021. Spec for spec (Plus trim) it has increased incrementally and then again with the facelift up from £57,000 in late 2020.

    • @MrSlpierce
      @MrSlpierce Год назад +1

      @@LandLAutomotive Ok fair enough, but for that money I can get a Porsche 718 Cayman S, convince me why I should get the A class vs the Porsche?

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  Год назад +2

      @@MrSlpierce It's the usability for me - not in terms of practicality, seats, etc. that's a bonus but I used to have an SLK so anything with more than two seats is too many seats in my opinion!
      Something in the original script for this video was to mention the first time I drove it in the UK, it was chucking it down but the car made it feel as if the roads were dry; the only other car that I've experienced with the ability to do that was the R35 Nissan GT-R. It's an all-weather, devastatingly rapid B-road blaster when you want it to be, but a (relatively speaking) comfortable everyday cruiser at the turn of a dial too. And every time you put your foot down, it does reward you for reaching the red line.
      The Cayman is a wonderful bit of kit too though; only a Porsche steers like a Porsche. Test drive them both - they are both brilliantly effective ways of making drives enjoyable, just delivering it in slightly different ways.
