Ghani Ali I have a 2016 A3, highly recommend! I’ve driven 12000km on it in 5 months. A pleasure to drive, awesome build quality, love the steering wheel and the feel, great connectivity with my phone through Bluetooth and awesome headlights (xenon). Only “complaint” is it tends to oversteer a bit in winter conditions if the snow is heavy, but other than that it’s great. Mercedes is probably good too, love the exterior however I personally don’t like the interior that much, and they have issues with build quality (interior creeks to the touch), lots of videos of that on RUclips. For context I live in northern Norway, so we usually have pretty rough winter conditions most of the year except from late may to October/November.

Why are everybody talking about BMW's "outdated" interior and nobody says how Audi A3 is looking 99 percent same like model from year 2003? Bimmer have beautiful enterior if you ask me and better looking exterior than other two.
I just brought a Shadow Edition MSport 125i, I test drove them all and the BMW was just brilliant with that rear wheel handling & Performance, it’s a really pity now that the new series one is front wheel drive.
I literally had to chose between these 3 earlier this year, and I went with the Audi. Every day I always think what if I went for one of the others, but I'm more than happy with the Audi. The main thing is if you buy one of these you're always going to be happy with it. I would recommend mine to anyone as I'm sure a BMW or merc driver would.
Yeah but to be honest you need to compare this a class with the bmw 1 series which has the bigger screen and also both need to have automatic a/c so then the 1 series looks already a lot better
I just did a somewhat fair configuration between the Audi and the Merc and it turns out, that when fully packed, you can actually get an Audi S3(!) and are still cheaper than the A class. (with the 163 hp engine!)
Just saw the A-Class sedan at an auto show this weekend. The screens are stunning. The resolution, smoothness and responsiveness of the whole operating system is just insane. The air vents are beautiful as well. BMW was not there but when we compared it to the Audi, the Audi looked so dated and like the other 2 dozen cars we sat in that day.
Sorry, but A class interior with those tablet style dashboard looks awful. I would rather see those screens integrated into interior, not just stick them on.

Its dual screens not tablets. And they aren't stuck on. They are integrated on top so that they are right with the drivers eye level.

I had a 1 series from 2009 as my first car and I fell in love with the way it drives and how sporty it feels so 2 years later I got my self a 2015 M Sport 120D and I am loving every second I’m in it :)
I think the merc is the worst looking one there, i love higher end merc's but the A class is just stubby. The 1 series and A3 look cool and angular, especially with their styling upgrades!

But I still love it.
I have a Mercedes A class since May 2019. I love that car. It looks well, drives well and the technology is amazing. Interior design is just fantastic - modern, minimal and simple. Those controls on the touch screens are super easy to use but I use the touchpad the most. The infotainment system is buttery smooth. The only thing I could wish for is a heated windshield.
Hi Matt,re: the BMW 1, a real mechanical lever handbrake is a plus not a minus as per your mockery.Not just for servicing either, with a tail happy RWD it's vital for an accomplished handbrake U-turn :D

The Mercedes cockpit design is so great and unique, it would be my main reason to chose it. Unless the car hasn't any major flaws: Thats the part I look at, touch and use the most.
The BMW is by far the nicest on the eye 👁 and yes it has a handbrake, god help people who have to expel slightly more energy pulling that up and down. Unacceptable in this day and age 🙄
If I were the resposible for Class A launch I would be worried because this test is almost tied (with other cars released several years ago) and new Series 1 and A3 are around the corner...
I'd probably end up getting the Audi, not a fan of the Merc's glossy plastics used in there. Gets too dirty too quickly. Beemer's a close second, but rear wheel drive in snow's a bad idea.

They are all nice (depending on personal preference) but when bought second hand I can only envisage the electronic headaches owners will have to deal with especially as it's the first step into the unknown

1:45 *The Mercedes 'A' Class to me looks like a very large Elephant has sat on the much more practicable 'B Class' with the ability to get 2 Mountain Bikes in its 'boot' without removing wheels (with seats folded) It basically is the same floor plan but far more 'family friendly' and only around £800 more in the UK representing a much more sensible purchase. The option of Augmented Reality Sat Nav (**7:00**) with front facing camera overlaid with Street Names and instructions is included in the **_Premium Pack._** This works extremely well even at night when approaching junctions and is amazing.*

They are all nice (depending on personal preference) but when bought second hand I can only envisage the electronic headaches owners will have to deal with especially as it's the first step into the unknown

3:43 BMW kept the handbrake for the same reason they have their cars RWD not because it's old. My Family members 2012 5 series has an electronic brake... It's all about the fun/luxury.
