Looks like a place to come back to again. Great water there. I helped a young boy with his fishing gear to day . No father, out with his mother fishing the Halifax River , Daytona Beach. Fixed him a fish finder rig and helped with bating his hook. We caught some nice Mangrove Snapper and watched Dolphins go after there dinner . A really good day , nice to help out a young man . Tom Daytona Beach, FL.
John, The next time through that area, you need to check out the springs. Especially Big Spring, and Alley Springs. They are simply amazing! The water is so clear and cold, and the fish are lively.
The ozarks are some of the most awesome fishing in northern Arkansas and southern missourri... should hit mammoth springs on the border of missouri and arkansas..
Dude those smallies were beautiful, they had some really nice color to them. Great looking place you first stopped at, I mean they all were nice and clear water but that first place looked amazing. Great video
Live in Ms. but went to college in the Ozarks for 4 years and my second year some locals took me small mouth fishing on the James River . It was love at first bite. Have gone back a few time but not near enough . If I had another life to live I’d either move to North Arkansas or Kentucky . I 40 years latter and I still dream about these gorgeous rivers that cut through those rocky hills. Strawberry, 11points, Current, Spring River and others . And they are all rich with smallies if there’s a good current .
I love to end the day watching your videos...even though on days i have to work and not fish...love the videos...my style of fishing when i get to go fishing and might i add...out of all the fishing videos on RUclips yours are the best... i hope to be able to meet you in person some day ....keep up the great work and may God bless
I grew up in Missouri and still consider it my "home" after all these years. I learned almost all of life's fundamentals there (fishing, hunting, flirting, worship, etc) Considering the regular content on your channel, you'd be ~amazed~ at how much beauty you'd see and how much fun you'd have if you took a trip lasting several days just to explore further up in to Missouri and more of the OSRW and backwater creeks and oh my. You'd love it.
Fantastic video, unbelievably beautiful place. Would love someone to slowly drift along that rock wall with a snorkel and underwater camera to really see the habitat. I think it would be amazing. Thanks for the great video!
Just canoed and fished the 11 Point River east of Alton, Mo. and had a blast. Its a gorgeous river. Caught smallmouths largemouths, Mooneye and a striped shiner ! Nothing real big but definitely fun and fulfilling
There's. Nothing like those clear mo. streams the Jack's fork , current , flat Creek, James River, northfork of the white all great places for smallmouth great to float , Wade fish do more on Ozark creeks BEAUTIFUL and great fishing!!!
The upper jacks fork river is amazingly beautiful. My dad and I did a 16 mile overnight float and while we generally did better further down on the big piney fishing wise, both size and numbers, upper jacks fork is one of my favorite fishing memories just for the scenery.
That 1st spot in the beginning is a place I love to fish! It gets super busy with swimmers when its hot. We put our kayaks in there and float about 6 miles down to another part of the river that has public access with a ramp. Good fishing for smallies and goggle eye. Wish I would have seen you there to say hi!
I've been going down there since I was a little kid. Best time to fish big piney and little piney is July. Nice and hot wading from gravel bar to gravel bar. I use mainly 2in brown twister tails. I can't wait to live there.
This is located in my hometown great fish can be found in the Piney. The funny thing is the water gets up over that bridge almost once a year at least. Great gigging river.
Try trout fishing there there's white ribbon and blue ribbon I fish and camp there alot it's trickery to catch them though but if you trout fish there good luck
Maybe your prettiest smallies to date? Really nice markings and color on those fishies. I've been snagging some good color, but they haven't been dressed to go out like those. LOL
WOW John, that sure is a honey hole brother. It still amazes me if that were NC, it would be fished out!!! God Bless the angler's that throw some back. 👍👍
The family and I just moved to Missouri a little over a month ago. I have been fishing that same river ( The big Piney) a few times now........ mainly up river from there. That is going to be my next stop! Only 20 minutes from my house. Nice fish and like to see all the spots you find in your journeys. Keep up the great videos.
If you ever visit or pass through Missouri again some of my favorite spots to fish are Little Indian Creek, Blue Spring Ranch, and Meramec State Park. Not to mention the water at the Huzzah River is ABSOLUTELY pristine
i watched this video years ago. Come back and we can float from Dogs Bluff where you started to Mineral Springs. The fishing is amazing and its not floated often
Great Smallmouth fishing on the Bourbeuse River in East Central Missouri. Ive heard the river is the most crooked river in the US? Its like 157 miles long and 45+ - in a straight line, start to finish. It dumps into the Meramec River south of Union, MO. Very good Smallmouth fishing from Mill Rock access on up river. Mill Rock Conservation area is beautiful, and open to the public to fish. You should try it. I enjoy your videos.
Found you channel today! Subscribed, I used to live in Houston MO, fished the big and little piney for many years! Caught a great many smallmouth my pb eas 6 lbs 12 oz! Back home in northern California these days, boat fishing lakes and have a RUclips channel Thefishstalker now! Glad to find your channel!!
Loved vicariously fishing with you in the Ozarks. Thanks for posting those beautiful streams . Seeing that river even the sound the fish makes hitting the water , reminds you that God created us in a garden , in nature not this synthetic world of ober plastic , oil , steel and EMPs.
That is my hometown. I grew up on that river. You should try fishing it at night on top water with a black jitterbug. We have caught 18 and 19 inch smallmouth. Even better to float that river at night.
Also if you get a chance to head back around here. Southern Missouri and northeast Arkansas. Fourche river around middlebrook Arkansas would make a great vedio. Smaller river has big nice smallmouths but you will catch all sizes. On a regular day you can catch like 50. Really a unfinished relief river. Down the road is eleven point. the southern part of those spots it's where the big small mouths are in that river. around Dalton Arkansas to Pocahontas Arkansas. Great place to kayak fish.
I enjoy your videos very much. Please come up to SE Michigan and explore the creeks around here. I was raised in Florida where the fishing was terrific but I haven’t been too successful around these parts.
Just on of countless great fishing holes in countless great rivers in southern Missouri. I bring my scuba gear down there all the time and dive the deeper holes on the big piney, the current, the niangua and a few others throughout the summers you would be amazed at ho many good sized fish they hold.
That’s cool! I’m shocked you had the place you yourself too! I am searching around for some smallmouth spots in MO and ran across your video. Never caught a smallmouth, as there are only largemouth near me. I will have to keep this place in mind once I set out to travel to a spot to find some!
Man that was some crystal clear water! I actually get my snorkeling gear out in the summer and go look for natural forage look for things that inspire a new bait to try.
Creek Fishing Adventures Yep! Hidden on private property owned and guarded by armed crazy hillbillies that sport hunt city folk with an unbridled and unmatched passion that only comes with the knowledge that ain’t no county country judge gonna give Ji m Bob a night in the box for canoeing up some city slicken trespassers bean. YEEE-HAWWWW!
There is a spot right below meramec state park called the Woodson K Woods river access, it’s all clear spring water and there is a 15 inch minimum on small mouth, so there are some nice fish if you walk down river
Picture perfect smallies. Fishing like this makes me so grateful God created such a beautiful earth and awesome creatures.
Natural beauties for sure
Love smallmouth fishing
Outdoors With TG Catching Smallies is such a unique fishing experience. My most memorable fishing moments are catching and fresh-frying Smallmouths.

Good on you, mate! Bring 'em up right, teach' em how to fish! Upvoted your comment
That's awesome
Even if you hadn't caught a single fish, the scenery would have been more than worth it to watch this video. Thanks so much for posting.
I'd be hard pressed between two passions: fish the stream? or watch and identify the birds?! What a dilemma! Ya cain't do both, durn it! 😁
Got to love fishing in Missouri
John, The next time through that area, you need to check out the springs. Especially Big Spring, and Alley Springs. They are simply amazing! The water is so clear and cold, and the fish are lively.
I have reached a time in my life that I can no longer explore the small creeks and rivers. Thanks so much for posting.
Catch and release just helps everyone out, happy to see that!
Excellent places, great fishing...... and all you do is work! 😀😉👍
i just cant make myself take some time off
@@CreekFishingAdventures I feel for ya, buddy! Just cain't reach ya!🙄😀
I clicked the link because I thought I recognized Dogs Bluff. Wow that brings back memories of jumping from the bluff every summer growing up!

The ozarks are some of the most awesome fishing in northern Arkansas and southern missourri... should hit mammoth springs on the border of missouri and arkansas..

Creek Fishing Adventures crazy times man with the social distancing , I look forward to it when all of this is over. Stay safe out there!
Neat to watch as he releases the fish back in the water. Watching him makes me want to get the right equipment and go out and fish!
Both places were beautiful the fish looked real clean
WOW John, that sure is a honey hole brother. It still amazes me if that were NC, it would be fished out!!! God Bless the angler's that throw some back. 👍👍
Thats a shame.i dont see a lot of beer cans littering the landscape either
@@basshuntet607 It may be that there's a deposit on cans and bottles. That will definitely reduce that sort of litter, anywhere!
its pretty far out in the country so that helps
Thanks for giving the ozarks recogintion. The ozarks holds it own in the outdoors!
Its so fun getting those brownies, smallmouth fight so much more than a largemouth. Extra fun when using a small creek crappie rig.

So is that why the sheriff pulled up and suggested that it might be a good idea to put your trousers back on? 👀! 😏🙄😁

I lived on that River as a kid it hooked me on fishing
Beautiful spot !!! Ur motivating me to pack up the truck and jus drive and fish.... luv the content !!!
3:23 I think that could be an Ozark Bass... The patchy colors on it do kinda suggest it.
