The spotted bass and then the large mouth in the little creek at the beginning where nice fish in such a small creek, unbelievable the fish that you catch in small creeks, nice day fishing !
I've been watching your videos for some time now, but just ran across this one. I live in this area, and that is the creek my dad and I fished in for years. Awesome that you happened by and caught some fish. If you go on downstream past the bridge you saw in the distance, the water slows down quite a bit and there is another ramp. Farther down the river you would find Grand Falls, the largest continuously flowing natural waterfall in Missouri. I appreciate all the videos you put out, and I try not to miss any. I really do enjoy them.
We lived about a mile from Sheol Creek and Wildcat Park when I was 5 years old (1971). We fished Wildcat Park many times. Drove down to it a couple times last year and now there is a bird watching place there. Seemed so different now. But I'm sure it's a good place if you just want to catch some fish.
Your my favorite fishing channel me and my dad and sister used to get our old tennis shoes on and wade the creeks and streams fishing and had the times of our lives thanks for the videos keep up the good work
Such a great stream! I can relate, re:starving-keep-fishin'. I do the same in my woodturning. When I have a gorgeous hunk of figured maple chucked up, spinning at 1200 RPMs and well balanced, when I have very sharp edges and the perfect shape is coming nicely-- *son*! I'm agonna turn until I near drop! It gets that engrossing. Same with fishing. Love this vid, man! May God bless.
I've had only very little experience with a Wood Lathe, but as long as you're careful, man, what a load of fun you can have with those things! I took Industrial Arts in High School, and learned to do projects like Lamp-Making, and even made a little letter holder for my Mother (Heaven rest her soul)! I'd love to be able to purchase a Wood Lathe, and the accessories that go with it. As I said, those things are fun!!!
@@ronaldshank7589 Recently purchased a 35" lamp borer so as soon as we've moved into our new house and I can set up my shop again I'll be able to make large table lamps!
Great video, and (mostly) Bass of different types. That's great! Just about 2-3 days ago, when I checked your number of subscribers, you were at something like 48,100+ subscribers. Now, it's at least 48,800 subscribers. That's great! You need 1,200 more subscribers, and you'll have reached the 50,000 mark. Keep up the great work, & God bless you!
@@DAsh-wi1zc If his subscribership keeps going up like this, he could EASILY get to the 100,000 subscribers mark by years end...if not before! He's DEFINITELY worth watching, believe me. I've been a subscriber of his for about 7-8 months now. He lives clean and holy before God, and I love the fact that he almost always includes a Scripture verse. His faith in God is amazing! So very few people even try to take a stand for Jesus nowadays. However, this Ol' Boy ain't skeered! He stands for Jesus, do or die, and I absolutely love it!
@@DeePresentsTC At last check, he's at 49,200+...& climbing! Come on, Brother John! You can do it!!! Just this past weekend or so, he was at 48,100. Then, yesterday, he was at 48,800, which means that now, with him being at 49,200, his subscriptions have increased by 1,100 just within the past week...and by an amazing 400, just since yesterday. That's amazing to me!!! P. S.:at 11:13 P. M., Our friend is at 49,300+ subscribers. I can only think of one word:WOW!!!!!
Hey John! Watching your videos has got me wanting to fish. I haven’t wet a line in many years, I’m 51. So yesterday bought some rods for me and my sons and we’re going FISHING on Saturday 5/2. Hope to put up some pics for you. Thanks and God bless.
Missouri conservation dept. has a good small mouth program. You can keep one but it has to be a certain length! A lot of the rivers and creeks in Missouri are managed as “trophy smallmouth “ streams and rivers!! Shoal creek has trout in it too! Yes been there when I used to go to Table Rock Lake at Schell Knob!
You've inspired me to get out and wade creeks again. I live in the Ozarks of Arkansas and we have some large beautiful, clear creeks here. I caught absolutely nothing. Not even a bream, but to be out there again reminded me of when I was young. I'll keep wading and trying. Subscribed.
that's my home town.fished it couple times.should have went down river about half mile and seen the water fall.a 65 lb cat was caught there few years back.theres a lot of rock bass and small mouth.
Next time you pass through Missouri try a route through the north west part in a little town called Ridgeway. The lions club dammed up a creek there..... excellent fishing. At least it was in the early 90's . Keep up the good work brother. God bless.
Further downstream, the widest natural waterfall in Missouri. Literally just around the bend to the left. Excellent fishing underneath the falls, but there are always parties of people there
Used to stop off there after a long motorcycle rides through SW Mo. Shoal Creek and Elk River were my two favorite places to stop and cool down. Enjoy your channel, love fishing panfish!
There’s a Shoal Creek in middle TN and it winds down into the Tennessee River in Alabama. One of the best smallie, long ear, largemouth, and rock bass spots in the state.
I live in central Alabama, fished since I can remember, and I've never caught a smallmouth bass. I went up to Florence, Alabama and fished below the dams, but an ice storm hit out of nowhere. I'm going back north to find some creeks to fish. I have put it on my bucket list, so watching your channel has given me good info, thanks.
I've fished that creek. I always stay away from parks and such. The water was at least twice as wide because of all the rain lately. You missed a couple of top notch creeks just south of there. Indian Creek at Anderson and Elk River at Pineville MO.
I have lived within 5 minutes of wildcat my whole life. Just below that dam you missed out man. Me and my wife have caught largemouth, huge blue gill and rock bass and catfish. Right in that lower area. The fish wash through in floods and get stuck there. You can catch them on a bare hook even most days. Cool to see you were so close!
Hi, I enjoy your vidéos, really, a lot. But maybe one thing : are you sure it's a good thing to hang the fish with the line when you drop them ? Maybe you can just take them while in the water, so they suffer less. Anyway, continue the fishing man. Greetings from France.
You should come back to Joplin and fish with a subscriber! (I’m the subscriber) Lol there’s a place called Tipton ford fishing access that will blow your mind, next time you’re in the area check it out! Love the content brother!
I love Montana, was stationed in Great Falls for 4 years. One of the best fishing experiences of my life catching trout on the Missouri river downstream from Holter dam.
@@Justtomstuff yeah I've fished that bridge with no luck. If you go to the park and launch a canoe at the boat ramp and go down creek and just around the corner man you can catch the fish. Your from joplin to?
Hey buddy, enjoyed your video as always. You're a well spoken dude. Have you considered barbless hooks? Since you're a good fisherman and you catch a lot, a few lost fish due to no barbs shouldn't really matter. If I ever get to Missouri, I will look you up.
Research has shown that rock bass from the Ozarks are probably unique from those in TN and other areas of the USA. Basically, an Ozark form rock bass. They do look kinda different!
I've had no luck there the last few weeks. After watching you video I decided to toss a ned rig around this afternoon. Didn't catch as many as you did, but had a blast. I really appreciate and enjoy your videos.
Awesome video my friend. Just curious, when you travel like this, do you stop and get a fishing permit as soon as you cross state lines or find a good spot and then go find a permit? Keep up the good work and God bless you!

Each of John's uploads is more than fishing. They are like mini journeys.
thank you for all the work you put in to pulling up so many videos

This river is one of my my favorite place to fish. Large and smallmouth galore!
I agree there's something about small streams that just calls me & rod. Good to see you having fun. Fish on! 🎣
These videos are my therapy. Especially during night shift. Thank you!
Beautiful place , your so blessed to be able to travel around and see all these places. I'm thinking at least a couple of those were shadow bass.

I'm hanging out for the shut down to end so I can get fishing all the little creeks I'm spotting. Tight lines.
I fish here all the time that little spring where you caught the first one is great fishing and that rubber area too
Those Nikko hellgrammites never let you down. I love fishing them. I love to see you catching fish on them, too.
You killed it again. Man,I'm jealous. Enjoy your channel, thanks for sharing again. God bless
Shoal Creek...that’s awesome. I live about five miles from where you are. I was baptized in that creek.
no way, thats cool
Creek Fishing Adventures Yeah, I’ve fished Shoal Creek many, many times. Love your videos. God bless.
Jon,they have exceptually large Spotted Bass in northern California as well as Large Mouths in the the Sacramento River.
Clear Lake comes to mind.

Nothing like a good state park, nice scenery and decent fishing
Are your State Parks open in Missouri ?

I had my 6 year old Grandson Monday & carried him to the creek with worms & he caught red bellies or long ear, catfish, & rock bass. So much fun 😁
This is the town I live in, that damn used to be one of my favorite places to fish.
Cool! I've fished that exact same spot. Always did well with my favorite go-to lure for creeks. The smallest broke-back Rapala...
thats awesome, i do like that lure
Such a beautiful place, with lots of options! Sigh... I am stuck in my office at work, literally wishing I was fishing....

That was a beautiful Bronze Back you caught under that bridge on Shoal Creek.
Spots are my favorite bass. A 3 lb spot can bend a good rod, and give you a fight of a lifetime.
