You wouldn't know it's a Fortiche cinematic until you watched it though. Most League players expect a cinematic this time of year anyway and while it's a fantastic animation, I'd bet any top tier cinematic would've raked in the views because we know to expect it from the league cinematic team

Elise was absolutely horrific in this cinematic, very well done. Really fantastic twist on her character fully leaning into those creepy spider aspects of her

Anyone else notice how when Kat enters the ballroom, her head grazes the beads which stretch from the ceiling - and which are reminiscent of webs when we see Elise in her spider form later in the trailer? Almost seems that Elise was aware of Kat’s presence from the onset, suggesting her first strike against her which took off her mask (and nearly her face) was kind of gracious and could’ve been a lot worse.
The way Elise climbs back those walls is so sinister Beautiful
Fortiche is becoming my favortie animation studio, every single scene is filled with such love and detail. It feel's like a living art, it just moves so smoothly. Elise's design is beautiful, Katarina look's stunning, i love how music stopped when Darius and Trundle started fighting and how it added more weight to the scene and of course, the finale.

@AmoratlaY that's only a speculation because I haven't seen fortiche say it officialy, but I can't unsee the similarity between that cliff on the beach where Mel arrives on (the same as in the Blood, Sweat and tears video btw) and the real french cliff "Etretat". would make sense since Fortiche is a french studio.

The way every character MOVES is just so captivating. Everyone has their own quirks, flow, and rhythm and it’s just so breathtaking how well personalities and designs are portrayed just through something as simple as walking, dancing, or fighting.
Even their face and body anatomy I thought they will just look like pretty girl and men like Katarina and Leblanc almost the same face model just typical beautiful face like splash art, and other studio but no it’s fortice seeing Katarina have different face structure and Leblanc Elise, Mel but they beautiful with their own way so unique fortiche studio work with riot truly a masterpiece

A nice detail I saw is when Trundle was about to rip Darius's head of, the camera work looks as if someone is actually "holding the camera" and ran forward to get a better shot. That's really nice!

The last scene certainly binds this to Arcane’s series. Noxus vs Freljord could be next in line which towards the end will tie in Demacia to move in to the 3rd instalment of the series. I can see at least 5 more of such series coming out and with each showcasing each of the lands and factions which could ultimately culminate into an epic battle to finish it all off…
10/10 would/will watch it all!

Leblanc looks terrible
Not many people have noticed this, but each champion wins their fight through one of the core Noxian principles of might, vision and guile.
Darius confronts Trundle head-on and wins by enduring the pain and hitting him really hard on the head, demonstrating his might.
Katerina infiltrates an event and wins her fight by cleverly sneaking in a hit against her real target instead of wasting her time trying to defeat Elise, which makes Elise retreat, having nothing left to protect, showing her guile.
Mel seems to be fighting in some kind of vision already, and she wins by single-mindedly focusing on the light, almost constantly looking forward, refusing to let any of the various distractions that LeBlanc (I guess) throws at her distract her from escaping, thus demonstrating her vision.

The way elise crawled forward in the beginning of the fight is so good. She is so curiously looking at her prey, walking straight into her nest.
Too bad we saw nothing when she was in spider form. Some lost choregraphy potential, just as her design in game which is too old to work nowadays.
The only thing that bothers me is the Senna sequences. They are very boring and only exist so that the Ministry of Culture doesn't say it's not colorful enough... ridiculous.

The amount of detail that went into this is just insane. Katarinas Shunpo, Elises transformation, Trundles true ice club and LeBlancs and Vladimirs relationship. This right here is truly peak animation and storytelling alike
I belive this are fragments/sneakpeaks of the incoming Arcane 2 (or whatever they wanna call it) especialy considering how Mel's model and such are the exact same one as arcane's

I'm sorry, not a LoL player here, but I got sucked into the lore by watching Arcane. Is this just supposed to be something in-game? I wanna know if I should catch up on Noxus region faster

Absolute insanity. Fortiche manage to use a 5-minute cinematic to perfectly capture the imposing strength and die-hardiness of the Noxian Empire, and present it in a way that outshines everything that came before. Bravo, instantly my favourite cinematic, and certainly needs to be watched more than once to fully appreciate.

I know its a trailer for the game, but them including Mel and having Black Rose mention Pilotover definitely makes this a proof of concept for the next spin off series after Arcane. I'm excited.
For those confused:
1. This trailer is for the game's first 2025 competitive season because it has a Noxian theme
2. This cinematic was created by the same animators as the Arcane series, but it is just for the game
3. The next Arcane series is confirmed to be in Noxus, which is why they have Mel and Black Rose here and keep consistent to the lore and styles of the series, but there is no official release date yet
TLDR: for all intents and purposes, this is both a trailer for the game and a teaser for the next series, but what's definitely a fact is that the season 1 they're talking about is the game's competitive season 1; not the series'

I love the foil between Kat and Elise fighting on the dancefloor, using an elegant battle of skills, and the boys darius and trundle just out there beating each other with fists. Seriously Elise was freaking horrifying and I LOVED IT. Especially at 2:52 where she sends the hatchlings. Also, I realized she doesn't blink when she crawls out of the upper row, ohhh sooo creeppyyyyy.
Also how there’s NO music over Darius vs. Trundle. There’s no "style" to their fight. It’s a brawl, straight up.
Plus, that, along with Darius' frozen; broken axe being in the map now, makes me think that part actually happened, even if the other parts were a vision.

@Dibxmonkey they say that fighting/battle is a form of dancing given its two opponents locked in a choreography to the death or knockout so the contrast between Katarina vs Elise and Darius vs Trundle display opposite artistic views of battle in a way where Darius and Trundle is more traditional in the sense that its brute, without music of sort shows battle as a pure show of dominance while Kat and Elise display a more graceful form of battle almost akin to a dance.

I like the fact that when Darius uses his axe against trundle, it doesn't slice him because of the axe being frozen, giving a blunt trauma effect.
The axe blade also shattered because it was so cold

The fact that darius was able to even slightly keep up with trundle shows what a hunk of a man he is. For reference, trundle is related to Jax and Jax was able to beat a god warrior (like nasus)
