  • It's a common misconception that kindness equates to weakness, and competence is often mistaken for ineffectiveness.
I do my best to unravel the complexities behind these misconceptions and explore how they impact our perceptions and interactions in various aspects of life.
Please join me as I challenge stereotypes and celebrate the strength and effectiveness of kindness and competency.
With admiration, I referenced ‪@ThinkMediaPodcast‬, who has assisted me along my RUclips Journey.

Always be kind, until the situation may not allow you to be, never be afraid to stand your ground.
Those who can't understand the concept are the weak ones and feel intimidated by those that do.

One of my favourite quotes is from Al Capone: Don't mistake my kindness for weakness, I am kind to everyone but when someone is unkind to me, weakness will be the last thing you remember about me"...I have used that saying a few times...because i am easy going and treat folks like i want to be treated but some folks think that you are a pushover and easy to take advantage of...then there's another saying....FAFO...they get the message quickly. Thanks Officer for the words of wisdom...a lesson that is well learnt sometimes the hard way but never forgotten.

What you're saying is absolutely correct!! Also people judging because you don't walk the same path or have the same views as them happens often... Not having a professional title and being looked down on is such a shallow mindset.... Had this happen not long ago.. As soon as I said I was a nurse their behavior changed towards me and was much better... I am still the same kind, smart, caring person even if I was selling beauty products or making pancakes at a local dinner... Live and let live I say... Being kind is free 🤍☄️ We all have a story!!! Rant finished ✅️ lol 😆

Some people are born like that. In their minds, only positive thoughts about people or situations prevail. Those people always rush to help or do something good for others without any second thoughts. When I was a little girl, my dad and I heard a dog cry at night. The next morning, we went out to the back of our apartment, right beside the garage, and found a big, beautiful German Shepherd dog lying on the cold snow with its front two legs broken. It had fallen from the 4th floor, and the owners had abandoned it. Its legs were so broken that they had ripped the skin. My dad brought it to our house on the 4th floor and tried to do something for the dog. He fed it well and tried to apply something to its legs. The dog always cried whenever my dad tried something. The dog stayed with us for about a week, and my dad tried to find a vet. However, my mom strongly disagreed, and there was a fight in the house every day. When my dad was away on a trip, my mom went to our neighbor to ask for help in bringing a vet. The neighbor brought his friend, who was a vet, and she told us that the dog's legs had already gone bad and that it would soon die. They gave the dog a needle to put it down and took it away to bury it. My dad didn’t believe that the infection had spread to its blood. He thought my mom had killed the dog on purpose while he was away. I cried for a week because I thought we could fix its legs and keep it as a pet. But it was too late to prevent the worst. Its wounds were already infected. There are many people out there who are too kind, and there are people out there who use that kindness and take advantage of it.

This was incredibly meaningful for me. I've been called a "quiet leader" and recently discovered the concept of Sigmas. It had made me successful but now I'm questioning if the same approach would be effective as a police officer... Or if I would need to adjust and amp it up a bit. I'd imagine Being a frontline officer would need to have a powerful personality.

I used to give people the shirt off my back until one day I realized that the reverse wasn't true. Slowly I started backing away from the "users" and started walking with people who empower.
I still give when I can with no expectations of getting it back but now I listen to my instincts rather than just acting.
I usually stand up for myself and others but there are situations where engaging isn't safe so I just smile and wave then ride away on my wheelchair.

@@OfficerArsenaultMaybe it’s one of those videos and messages that overtime will gain traction. Or at the very least, it will get to the people that need to see it? I do believe in that. I was looking for videos to help youth. I can see a subset of videos you do specifically to be used to help youth? 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a thought. Thanks!

I’m a quiet person. I like to observe of what is going on. I learn a lot from watching body language and the tone of people. I like to quietly enter a room and exit the same way. 😂😂😂just because I’m quiet, people think that I don’t know anything. Once someone steps over my boundaries, I set them straight and tell them. You have to be assertive with certain people. 😁
