"Under god" wasn't added to the pledge of allegiance until 1954. It is absolutely not what the founders intended.

The separation of church and state isn't in the constitution. There were a lot of state churches after the constitution was put in place. The phrase comes from a letter Jefferson wrote to a Baptist church in Connecticut.

There are ways the state and church can be together without there being a state church. Like, say, war memorials with crosses on them. Or the Pledge of Allegiance including the words "under God." Or maybe prayer in congress. None of those involve the establishment of a national religion.

Publically (national TV) asking for prayer that floods of biblical proportions would occur in Denver, even the death of President Obama after his first election. I've been asking the religious right for years why God didn't honor the fasting's and prayers of multiple thousands of religious right regarding the defeat of President Obama.

Who's saying that? This is a man who has always lived an affluent life. He can afford virtually anything he wants, and has had those options for a long time. And yet he continues to work instead of living on permanent vacation. I don't know why - maybe to preserve his legacy; perhaps to feed his ego; possibly to provide jobs and opportunities for thousands of people who rely on his businesses. He is not afraid of work - working class people understand that.

Here’s a little story about being catholic and having varying views on abortion access. I was raised strictly Catholic. I attended Jesuit schools for high school and college and a parish school for K-8. I was also a little wild as a teenager and found myself pregnant. My parent’s close college friend was also the priest who baptized me. At that time, he was the president of the Jesuit school I attended. I went to him for council after finding out about what was going on. Never once did he pressure me into any decision. He just offered me love and support for my own life and body. I even asked about abortion and was considering it. He urged me to think seriously about available options and make choices that were right for me. I did end up having that baby and she’s now 24, but I made that decision knowing I had options and would be loved, respected, and supported no matter what I did. That is the embodiment of a Catholic. I want to scream at these people who fall in line with the loudest voice. Christianity is not a veil to cloak your own contempt for the free will and choices of others.
Thank you for sharing your story. The sort of people who now embrace trump’s behavior would struggle to embrace the kindness, empathy, and Jesus-like love you received. I’m so glad you had that support.

The thing I find baffling is that they can't condemn Trump, and they grasp at straws to condemn or even critisize something real of Biden, since a lot of the things actually worth disliking him for are things him and Trump have in common or in close proximity.
Both of them are just old capitalists who don't give a fuck about the American people or the people abroad their choices harm as a president. Just want the GDP to go up and up, regardless of how disabled or elderly people get left behind, young generations can't get housing, or hell even food. It's all just a headache.
Edit: And yes, I do hate Trump far more. You're trying to imply that Biden SA his daughter and yet you ignore all the blatantly inappropriate pictures of Trump with his hands on his daughter's breasts, bottom and both her outer & inner thigh as an adult and when she was a child. I've never heard Biden say anything inappropriate about his daughter but I've heard Trump say several inappropriate comments about his daughter. I heard one woman trying to say that Biden hit on her and then she admitted she lied. I've seen and read that dozens of women have accused Trump of committing SA on them, including one who was 14 at the time. Did you ever read those court fillings? Do you see why it's hard to take your implication seriously?
You also wrote that Biden has open borders when that has never happened. In fact, Biden in 3 years deported more people than any other president (Obama has the 2nd place and was known as the "Deporter in Chief"). Biden's administration has also caught more drugs coming across the border than any other president but you think he's the enemy?
You wrote that Biden is putting an "economic strain on our country" and yet our unemployment is at an all-time low of several decades and instead of giving billionaires and giant corporations more huge tax cuts like Trump did, Biden is making them pay higher taxes and has promised to make them pay more. Did you see how Trump promised to give them even bigger tax cuts this time? Even Reagan would be rolling in his grave!Trump caused more national debt than any non-war time president in history and that was before COVID hit! The Biden administration has figured out how to pay a good portion of it off while not harming the working and middle classes or the elderly and disabled. On top of all of this, Biden has pulled us out of the Covid and inflation crisis better than any other leader.
I can honestly tell you that I'm super unhappy with some of the things that Biden has done, things like the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the way he has dealt with the Israeli government. However, when the only alternative is a straight out fascist like Trump then the only option is 💙 Biden & Dems 🗳️. Take your party from the far right and put forth a viable candidate and maybe you guys will make it back into the White House in '28. It would be a better use of your energy.

Why not? He believes in God. He believes in our country and protecting it unlike the lefties who allow illegals in that are destroying our country. He brought our economy back up very quickly after Obama only to have Biden kill it again. He has raised great respectful children who are productive citizens with manners and respect unlike Biden and most of the Democratic Party. He doesn’t drink or smoke so alcohol doesn’t obscure his thinking. He’s against abortion and believes life is in hands of God not man when comes to abortion. Trump stands with Israel. Trump is for peace. Not one war during his four years of serving with our military. Blood is not on his hands like it is Hillary who had US soldiers murdered. He’s not in Oval Office screwing women or cigars like Bill. And the women who accuse him of rape or forced sex? Come on. They didn’t speak out until offered money and knew they’d get money 💰 from Trump. It’s all part of the greed. The one even state after she won the trial that “he did not rape me!” 😳 I mean how dumb must one be? We all knew it wasn’t true.
