What angers me is that Dr. Mate and Professor Finkelstein are looked down upon by their own people for just saying the truth and having a conscience.

Bottom line is differences should not be hashed out by violence on civilians. A truly advanced society would form a world treaty, like a global NATO promising to support against any violent infringement by any group.
Rather than armies or rockets hurting civilians, especially my heart breaks for children in all this, …those feeling their excessive testosterone should be able to sign up for a Hunger Games type of competition or better some kind of a agreed soccer game with the winner of the game getting what they want rather than using bombs to blow up needed apartments & infrastructure while traumatizing & killing children.

The UN resolution gave 50% of the land of Palestine to 6% of the population. There is no way under the sun that this is just. The indigenous Jews and the Palestinians are both treated as second class citizens by the European based minority. There should be a one state solution, with all citizens treated equally. The European based minority would be free to stay or leave as they please. But they would no longer have political power.

You're right. A trial in The Hauge, as one example, would see him violating Protocol III (on the use of incendiary weapons) of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCCW). There is clear evidence that white phosphorus has been used in heavily populated areas in Gaza inflicting casualties and immense suffering to a predominant under age civilian population in that area. Video documentation and witnesses would have him sentenced in Day 1 if needed. This is just facts.

Dr. Gabor Mate is an incredibly intelligent and very caring man! His work on trauma has helped thousands and thousands of people and as well as being a Clinical Therapist, a Lakota Oglala Elder and interestingly enough am now a Microbiologist as well is all due to applying Dr. Gabor’s work!

As a Jew growing up in Sweden I was subjected to a lot of racism. But not for being a Jew. Just because I looked like a foreigner. I can only recall one time an Arab in a bar in Barcelona asked me to leave or else. That was it. The only time I have ever been subjected to "anti-semitism". I told my friends we need to leave and that was it. Nothing happened.

I am glad to hear Dr. Mate’s opinion on this subject, I respect this wise man whose work helped me overcome awful lifelong trauma. I visited Israel in the Spring of 87, during a truce of an entifada, and was able to observe and learn first hand everything Dr. Gabor is describing. My opinion of the state of Israel was forever changed after that trip.

Piers and the western talking heads keep saying that Israel is responding out of a sense of trauma that they've experienced on Oct 7th and that the overreaction stems from that (some have even called it justified). But have they ever asked what the Palestinians must feel like? Having experienced what Israel did on the Oct 7th many times over throughout decades? Why is Israel allowed to be angry and wipe out an entire region out of that one incident, but Palestinians can't fight back? they can't be angry? Why are they supposed to take the humiliation and oppression lying down?

It's rarely asked "how should a people respond to 75 years of dispossession and occupation?". Self-defense does not apply to an occupying state’s wars against those it occupies. This is almost never stated.
It's a bit more complex than that though, what if the occupying state doesn't actually want to occupy but feels it has to only to protect itself, because whenever it starts to deescalate its occupation horrible attacks begin to happen? Because the organsiation governing the occupied state has its stated target to completely destroy the occupying one, and has never been interested in peaceful coexistence? Does self-defense also not apply in that situation?

Most of Israel is currently very much uninterested in coexistence as you say, and the exact same applies to most of Palestine. But 20-30 years ago things were very different on the Israeli side, there was a strong left and many, many more of us wanted peace and a two state solution, at that point Palestinians refused multiple offers of going back to the 1967 borders and started the second intifada and suicide bombings, and then both the peace process and the Israeli left died 😥 if you're not aware of that maybe you should read some history books?
Your claim the land was "stolen" is also a one sided and very oversimplified way of looking at it. Please have a read about the 1947 resolution and the 1948 and 1967 wars and try to see things from both perspectives, any hope we have of peace depends on being able to come to a mutual understanding of the situation rather than each side digging further into their one sided reality (which is currently happening on both sides)
1947, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2008 many chances for peace but obviously they choose to live like this play the victim and get a lot of money for it so the Hamas billionaires do not have to work a single day in their and live in palaces in Qatar and elsewhere. How about this. Israel was traumatized or whatever because of what happened on October 7th and they feel because of that they have to defend themselves. Well the Palestinians have experienced an October 7th since 1948. Don’t you think that they have the right to defend themselves? Not excusing what happened on October 7th as justifiable. But don’t you think that after decades of racism, oppression, displacement and hopelessness that eventually one day they’d defend themselves?
