It is always a great honor to listen to Professor Norman Finkelstein!!! Especially at this time of immeasurable suffering of the Palestinian people and the beginning of the great reaction of the regional resistance in the Middle East, which we finally know, understand and respect.
Finklestein has certainly achieved his personal goal of being uniquely useful and purposeful. I am so grateful for all that I have learned from him and for all that he is bringing to light in the world.
The care with which he speaks reflects the careful thought and self-examination he brings to his writing. We all benefit from that.

The problem I have found talking to most Jews outside Israel is that you basically can’t discuss anything negative about the place.
If you dare to put any idea across about the place that doesn’t fit there idyllic ideas of the place you get shut down.
Now for instance I live in New Zealand, lovely place but does it have racial issues, yes, could we look after our poor better, yes, do we pollute the place in a way that very few modern economies could get away with, yes.
But these problems are talked about, we know we need to do better, that’s what a good society does, it looks at the mirror and discusses what blemishes it sees.
Israel and the Jewish people have a self belief that is damaging to them and those who need to live with them.
And the biggest thing they need to get there heads around is that criticism of Israel doesn’t make you an antisemite.

When I listen to Norman Finkelstein, I have those rare moments of intellectual and human discovery - when you listen to a great poem or read a great page of prose that articulate or paint the substance of human experience- justice and truth? And think: I thought that or I experienced that, or that it was like my mother too...

These are what he is writing not a replication, not an inspiration but a complete independent piece of work in the genre of " commenteries of the higher socio- politico- economic inustices of the world order. That is incomparable to the work of a linguistic or physicist. He is in some way taking Einstein and Mr.Chomsky as superior well as per their knowledge it was their knowledge, as per their work ot was their work and as per the influence to the world again it was to their own credit , so is his work if he is dissecting the injustices of the institutionalized horrors of the present era laws and orders and standing with Humanity to expose the oppression would be a golden piece of work considered in history of Humanity. He must not forget to add each and every reference of the law and manipulations to distort the reality thus not only dealy the action taken against it but promote anti- human agendas for the war industrial economies to run at the dispense of lives , resources of others even if it takes to wipe out completely a community or group from the region.
