That is why the T’ien-t’ai school’s commentary states, “Unless p.4one perceives the nature of one’s life, one cannot eradicate one’s grave offenses.”2 This passage implies that, unless one perceives the nature of one’s life, one’s practice will become an endless, painful austerity. Therefore, such students of Buddhism are condemned as non-Buddhist. Great Concentration and Insight states that, although they study Buddhism, their views are no different from those of non-Buddhists. www.nichirenlibrary.org/en/wnd-1/Content/1
Thank you ... Great message! I am scared of Christian Nationalism, and I love hearing one speak the truth. Hope to find you online one day as people like you are so rare today.
This was profound, so much I listened to it 3 times and cried. Hearing what I feel but could never explain it so eloquently. May I borrow some of this for my husbands social media? He's running for US Congressional District 17-Texas, against Pete Sessions, who has signed onto this because of politics.
Mark Lorenzen for Congress
@rangefinder25133
It seems like compassion, empathy, and forgiveness are things you feel the need to speak against? I'd caution you to consider why that is.
God bless you for this message that we humans tend to prefer to ignore. God has certainly done a very good work in you
Thanks for carrying this beautiful message. Your voice is much needed right now. I hope your words reach the people who need to hear you.
Wow! I am humbled by this amazing sermon.
Finally, an actual Christian sermon, from someone teaching the *real* teachings of Jesus, not the made-up, hate based teachings of a cult. THANK YOU so much!! I dare those pastors who say "we love everyone" or "everyone welcome here" to put a rainbow flag next to it. WWJD?
Well it's pretty safe to say that Jesus would address a guy wearing women's clothing as a man,😂😂😂 and so would our founding fathers,😂😂😂, this is always been my position and it will not change, people have every right to do what they want in private, they have no right to force their personal views or opinions on the public, NO EXCEPTIONS... I'm not going to tell you to go to church and you're not going to tell me some stupid made up pronouns that you expect me to use, that seems fair to me
@@onamattapeeya Noone is doing that, only you are. Clothes are just clothes, your stance has no basis in Christian theology only demonic ones. What is sad you wont even listen and consider that you are listening to the father of lies.
@@onamattapeeya Sounds like you might have some closeted issues. Just sayin'.
@@onamattapeeyaAre you being Christ-like, or do you enjoy driving people away from the church?
You may not believe in religion, and that's okay. But to discourage love like this denies support from your community and poisons your heart.
Actually, Jesus would look beyond the clothes and pronoun used and speak to the PERSONS soul. Kind of hypocritical aren’t you, forcing YOUR beliefs on others, just another CINO running your mouth. Luckily, God still loves you.
"We are made by love, with love, to love." What absolutely stunning words. Tears were shed hahaha! Thank you so much for this, may God be with you always 💛
This is a beautiful message. Never has a religious sermon resonated with me like this one.
Another brave Pastor! Wonderful! Real Christians are awesome!
So wonderful to hear this! How true it is. Talarico's message is so clear, centered and balanced. We need to share this.
This is incredible and more people need to see it.
Can you please go repeat this sermon for congress?
The Congress is to far gone to the right. IS TO LATE!
Excellent sermon. As someone who comes from the Liberation Theology and Social Gospel schools of thought this is exactly what must be done to condemn Christo-Fascism/ Christian Nationalism and all forms of fascism. I salute you sir
No it's not. He needs to be relatable to the Christian nationalists to make a difference. He's preaching to the choir now. It's pointless. The Anabaptists and Adventists do a good job countering Christian nationalism in a way that other Christians can still find relatable.
@merg-vh5sx, I look forward to your sermon.
Spirituality isn't about winning votes. You'd think Democrats would know that, considering the nightmare of Trump and the MAGAs. Instead you're embracing the same twisted religious tactics they use. It's sad. I blame the failure of your education system personally.
@@MickyRicardo
@@merg-vh5sxI'm confident that if Christian Nationalists have any love in their heart other than the love of power, any denomination other than the state religion will be able to reach them. And if not, I'm not sure how appeasing those among us who crave power will do anything other than dilute the message.
Please give us more sermons. We need more truth. Thank you so much.
I’m Catholic. This is one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard in my life. Thank you.
Ditto that 👍🏻
Oh my, Mr. Talarico - you restore my faith and hope!
A masterpiece. Signed, Texas agnostic.
Agreed. Another Texas agnostic here.
I walked away from the church many years ago, but this, good job!
YOu divorced a spouse who needed you and left it to people you knew were not who were needed. To me you are a coward
I too am an atheist but I have listened to this sermon 3x now and taken something from it each time. Thank you for this.
This is amazing
I am an ex-mormon going on like 15 years now. Your words have truly touched my heart @James Talarico. I was almost brought to tears when I stumbled across your content. I left my church because I could not come to terms with what I considered to be hypocrisies in my church. The last time I went to church was for my mother around 2012 at her request for a mothers day gift and ended up having to leave as some woman spoke on how wrong and evil it was for a woman she saw to wear a 2 piece swim suit. Yesterday, I would say I felt I had lost my faith in humanity and I didn't think that there were Christians that really practiced the teachings of Jesus. I know this is corny but I found hope in your words and look forward to hearing more.
Your eyes have been open and your heart has been open to the real TRUTH of Jesus Christ YESHUA Messiah
@@rangefinderz5135 Because YOU say so? 😆😆😆😆
It was brave of you to leave a cult that punishes those who try and escape. Well done! You've earned your freedom and our respect
How does this not have a hundred thousand more views & likes ?
I am so moved and touched by your words and at 72 years old now I can truly say that Gods Truth will come out of the mouths of Babes because you are one of them.....I hope the light shines into all the other churches so we can identify this Christian Nationalism that is infecting the world......Thank You so much.......
I am from Norway and notchristian but what a great speech or sermon🥦
Thank you, we need more of this!
As a Jew, I say you are spot on. Keep on!
Beautiful message. Thank you.
I live in the Bahamas and this is the best sermon that I have ever heard
Thank you for this wonderful sermon!
I'm an atheist. This is the most inspiring speech by a Christian I've heard in my (70 year) lifetime. It's almost enough to make me Christian again. Read Tim Alberta's "The Kingdom, the Power and the Glory" and you will see how Christian nationalists have perverted the Christian gospel in America.
Thank you for this message. I recently started going to a bible study and it has been very difficult to me to find common ground with so many churches and Christians because of all the things that they do and emphasis that has nothing to do with scripture. You have given me more faith that there are more Christians out there that actually try to understand Jesus and his teachings in a way that helps the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Everything you say is what I believe and teach in my work. Bless you.
Impressive. Thought provoking. A Baptist preacher no less.
There had to be a teleprompter; if not something extraordinary happened.
Thank you,James.
Brother, we need more voices like yours to rise up against this scourge. Luv U❤!
Excellent! Thank you!
Thank you for stating what I have had in my heart and have lived by in these very troubling times. The Lord is reflected in your words.
Thank you, Rep. Talarico,
We are David against a powerful Goliath but we must get the word out. Your message was clear, thoughtful and most of all the truth. God Bless you.

You make me want to go to church! This is a wonderful sermon and you are a wonderful pastor.
I would drive to church to listen to you speak for 20 mins every Sunday 😅
Wow! Thank you for this.
This is such an amazing sermon. EVERY American should here this. I hope I see you on the Presidential trail one day soon!
We need more leaders like you. Never stop fighting for us
Jesus himself would give you a standing O for that one. Bravo 👏👏
I am not a "religious" believer. History has proved the destructive power of organized religions. As such, I sat with tears down my face and an almost unbearable swelling of my heart and soul, as your sermon vocalized my beliefs I have had all of my life , that have grown stronger and stronger over the long years. It has always been about LOVE. Respect, Honor, Joy, Everything in this Cosmos is about LOVE! Thank You.
Amazing truths. I loved this and will share.
I left my Christian church because of the hypocrisy and exclusion. I am following James Tallerico for his witness to the Word of Christ - it is ALL about love and compassion - and calling out the hypocrites. Thank you for the GOOD that you do in spreading the Word - of love 🙏🏼💕
Im a South African and Im ssoooo pleased to hear Christian ministers talking out about this.
It is mind boggling fir the rest of the world watching on😢
THANK YOU SIR😊
You are amazing, thank you for this. This is Christianity, this is what I used to believe in. Thank you for this sermon, it's been almost 20 years since I've listen to one.
It is rare to hear anyone shine the Good News with such a light. I am a Catholic who revels in the Gospel but acknowledges that I "know not" God yet Trust in the witness and message of the Way as lived by Jesus. I am not an atheist, nor am I a gnostic claiming to "Know It All". But I am an 'agnostic' who believes wholeheartedly in the Way shown us in the Pascal mystery, in the dying and rising of our Savior. Thanks James, for daring to preach the whole message of love; announcing that love always wins in spite of our sinful ways. Blessings on your work and journey, challenging us all.
Well said!
This was legitimately courageous and soulful. He definitely got death threats from people wearing crosses
If this was truly a Christian Nation... never truer words. Great sermon.
I am no longer a Catholic, but men like Talarico are highly needed.
This never was a Christian nation. The FF purposely left religion up to the individual. They saw the problems inherent to state controlled religions.
Thanks so much for this sermon. You rejuvenated my faith, it's been shaken here lately.
Former Christian and new subscriber here. Thank you for your wise words. Please keep preaching. You are a healing balm. ❤️🩹
The Way.
Excellent speech. I just hope that everyone can hear your words. 🙏
Thank you pastor!
An atheist posted a brief clip of yours on FB and it has sparked an interesting conversation.
I was so impressed with your message that I looked you up here.
Please keep speaking the unvarnished truth, and against the co-option of our faith.
In this world of madness there's still hope... Much ❤ to this wonderful young man! 😊
Perhaps if I'd have seen More Christians like this. I wouldn't have walked away from religion
Having left the Church many years ago and not hearing a sermon in forever. I'm reminded of why I USE TO BE a part of the Church. I remember it being this way back then. And then when it turned towards hate and division, I got out. And for that very reason , all the hate and division. I saw nothing in the Church that I cared to become. I'd like to think this is the return of the Church I once knew,. It may be too late for me. But so many follow.
Im an atheist still guided by the best part of being raised RCC - Jesus' detailed explanation of NEW RULES.
It is a radical, demanding, and liberating view of what it means to be human.
Love is pragmatic and practical. Hate serves only hate, violence serves only violence.
Only love serves change.
We live in the hell and heaven of our own making
I have faith but I’ve shied away from religion. I think all faiths are beautiful. I think atheists and agnostics have every right to not know or believe. Be good people. Isn’t all that matters? Thank you and thank you to all those who have listened. Religious or not. 🙏🏼
James Talarico is going to be president. He ticks all the boxes, he's young, he is intelligent, well spoken, he appeals to Christians and non-religious people. Im an atheist, and i love his message. When he runs ill put all my energy into getting him into office.
He'd be great in the House or Senate.
I am so proud that he’s a state representative for the state of texas and i hope he continues to be go further in the political arena
Agreed! He has made me actually feel hopeful for the first time in 8 years. I said the same thing- he needs to run in the next presidential election- if there is one.
excellent and thought provoking. I wish this message could be heard in Washington DC
Thank you sir! You laid it out so clearly. Listening was a pleasure and gave hope that there are more of us out here who agree with me...and you.
I saw part of this message on Rebel HQ on RUclips & had to find the full message. It is great to hear someone who talks about the same Jesus I have believed in all my life. Thank you for sharing this message with us not in your church. I pray God helps the man with his future endeavors so he can continue sharing this message.
I'll be honest I'm an Atheist but I was just interested in what this minister had to say about the threat of Christian Nationalism and I really believe even though no religion or spirituality should be political I believe if you're going to become a true Christian this minister and Christian sets a great example of what a true Christian is and should be and what every Christian minister or pastor should be like and believe.
Finally! Yes to this guy. Perfectly stated.
Beautifully said. Thank you 🙏
A beautiful message. Thank you
Thank you for being the voice of reason and real Christian values !! ❤ God bless you and keep you safe !!
This guy understands how it is possible to be a REAL christian and to be a REAL American, and to protect ALL those ideals that would be ruined by fearful, ignorant people who gave into the temptations of hate and instant gratification. I hope he has a real bright future in politics. He's what so many people in this country need to hear, and he speaks the language they understand.
If the Catholic Church were more like the Christianity he describes I might not have left.
I am charismatic Catholic in the vein of Father Richard Rohr. This sermon by James Talarico is wonderful in pointing out all the worldly ways Christian Nationalism is neither godly nor about love.
I am Wiccan, but this resonates. Thank-you for a beautiful start to my day!
Yes love thy neighbor as thy self
No matter who they are
You give me hope. Thank you
This is my Jesus, this is what I think about our possibilities. I only see hate, judgment, and religious bigotry in most "Christian churches". AMEN
There is no such thing as " your "Jesus LOL and he wasn't rainbow friendly and he wasn't a communist either😂
@@onamattapeeya Sheila's Jesus sounds a lot more genuine than your 'Christian' Nationalist one. Jesus was also a single man hanging out with other men, so don't rule out the 'rainbow' part 😆😆😆😆
@@kamwickw933 I didn't say anything about Christian nationalism, and yes I can definitely rule out the rainbow part LOL also there's no such thing as her version or my version, we don't get to a tribute characteristics to the lord, and since you're probably an anti-theist and a bigot anyway you have no right to speak on the subject, so go cry into your rainbow flag and send me one please because I'm running low on toilet paper
