This is flying. :) Disconnecting the A/P far before the landing and not stabilized on ILS what can be seen on many cockpit views is much to easy. Excellent job gentlemen.
This is what I like to see. Disconnecting the A/P and A/T far before configuring the aircraft. Many clips that are showing landings as where mostly the A/P and the A/T disconnecting when the aircraft is (nearly) configured for the landing and stabilized on ILS. That is, sort of speak, a piece of cake. Well done guys on a great landing and job. That is what flying is all about.
Great landing . pilots do incredible job hats off to them. As we buy tickets and sit for the flight didn't realise how much effort is put in place to make it a success!!
Lubritz? Are you referring to the sad German fuck who flew his plane into a mountain a while back? If so, who in the hell can account for his unique pathology? Obviously, there is nothing on this earth he would have provided him happiness.
robert glenn I agree, I have always dreamt of being a pilot, but the closest I've get is playing Flight Simulator X, regarding Lubritz, those kind of people will you find everywhere, in any kind of work, but most pilots are good people, that do their jobs right and safe, and they most likely love their jobs, or else they would have found something else to do in their life, since they are intelligent people (or else they would never have become pilots in the first place).
Pilot: your approach was steady and touched down well, too. Copilot: Thanks.....I think the pint of Jack and the blunt mellowed me out... Pilot: As soon as we're fueled up and cleared for take-off, I've got a fifth of Crown and 2 blunts.... Copilot: 👍 great......that will tweak this blow down a notch.... Pilot: Roger that....tweak down the blow... Copilot: 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I swear flight simulator looks more and more real each time i visit youtube. this could really pass off as the real deal. I mean the amount of detail they put to make the pilots look real Omg, technology has really come very far
They aren't lucky men. They worked hard, sacrificed many things, believed in themselves and especially never gave up on their dream of becoming a pilot because of all of this they are touching the sky everyday.
Thank you for saying that Mohamed. I was going to say the same thing. This is not luck, it's success. Luck is when you win the lottery. Success comes from hard work.
Flew into Schipol a couple of times on my way to Russia. The airport is gigantic as well as the terminal.....everything is huge. Amsterdam is a beautiful city for sure.
Boeing 747 will always be the "Queen of the Sky" and the pilots are very professional and very experienced to fly this big bird that mankind ever created.
That was an unbelievable video, especially in HD, and on a nice screen with my face close to it. That's how I watched it once I realized it was true, dense-as-heck 1080p. The quality of the footage is about the best I've seen in a cockpit footage clip and I found it almost dizzying. So cool. Thanks for sharing it.
This is something amazing to watch, really professional. It makes us feel like we are in the cockpit aswell. The sound, the checklist, simply brilliant! You guys did a really good job on this one.
She's a beauty. The most commanding presence of any jet liner. When you see a 47 coming in on approach its one of those jets that just make you stop and watch. Sorry but the A380 is a butt ugly plane.
The first officer was simultaneously operating the throttles, leveling the wings, controlling the pitch and adjusting the trim of a 747 as its hurtling through the air. Perfect time for a lizard to ask him if he's satisfied with his car insurance.
Fly by wire on the A330 changed the way the autopilot is used. It ironically led to the Air France 447 crash because the pilots had no idea how to hand fly a plane.
Anthony Kernich no it’s not that they didn’t know how to hand fly. They also had bad airspeed and were flying in the dark. Also the fly by wire made the more experienced copilot not realize the less experienced one was pulling up. With good airspeed or a first officer with more experience so he could recognize the problem of iced up pitot tubes the plane could have been recovered. The guy knew how to fly he just didn’t notice his pitot was iced up and thought his speed was increasing during the climb. They were getting stall warnings but he chose to stick with reading his airspeed. In straight and level flight it would make no sense to stall with increasing airspeed.
Watching these types of videos takes the fear of flying away. These Pilots have my respect.
