I’m a frequent flyer yet I’m still a little bit terrified of flying, but any time I watch this channel I start to realize that flying is 100% safe. For you to be an airline pilot and carry hundreds of passengers to and from different states or even different COUNTRIES is truly mind blowing to me. Same here: frequent flyer terrified by flying but I watch a lot of videos of aviation including terrible accidents and I learn that that circumstances are so rare and the latest technology helps a lot to prevent such, because ppl always make mistakes but the machines are there to prevent those and protect us

@@Shaneto-tm7gg Actually that's not true either. I know they say that, but flying is very dangerous because I am a private pilot. About 1 pilot is killed every day in a plane crash. Since there are WAY less pilots than drivers, its a LOT more dangerous to be flying your plane than driving your car. FACT, there are about 200K private pilots in the US. There are 200 million drivers of cars. a few hundred pilots die each year, but 40,000 drivers die. Do the math and tell me again how driving is safer.

it sounded like you got a little flustered on the approach clearance. When they vector you to final here in the US, the approach clearance is always really long, but it follows a pattern:
PHAC: Position, Heading, Altitude, Cleared
"Airfrance 004 Heavy you are 8 miles from final approach fix, turn right heading 010, maintain 3000 until established on the localizer, cleared ILS4R approach into Kennedy"
For the read back, just pay attention to the heading and altitude, you know what approach you're flying anyway:
"right turn to 010, maintain 3000, cleared ILS4R approach, AF004H"
