Just type “Etihad Vamsys” in Google, we will be happy to have you on board so you can fly exactly the same routes. I would post link, but it is not allowed.
The choice of music was spot on. the triple 7 cockpit is truly one of the most beautiful marvels on earth. I am forever wholesomely in love with the 777. most beautiful aircraft on earth. thank you for the spectacular video, very informative and intuitive (especially from the pilots). thanks for the video
FCO is one of my most visited airports so it’s just so wonderful watching this and knowing exactly where this 777 beauty is taxiing and taking off from! Almost as if I’m inside that cockpit myself!😍
Beautiful aircraft. I was flight crew with Pan Am and Delta for a total of 29yrs. When I started in 1977 I worked on the 747 which was an outstanding air plane. If I were starting a career today with aviation I definitely would want to work on a triple 7, what a beautiful plane. Thanks for sharing this great video!
The B77W is an absolutely gorgeous beast of an airplane! Them GE90-115Bs pack a lot of punch, and she’s one aircraft that I’ll never have any qualms flying. Thank you for this video, mate. Also, cheers to the FR24 crew.
Flew the Etihad 777-300ER from Sydney TO Abu Dhabi - Sat down the very back. Over night - you could hear the auto-throttle giving the engine more power when needed. When I got off the plane, my first thought - the GE90's are HUGE!
Nice flight review, the triple seven is a cool airplane, I had the opportunity to get into the cockpit previously. I knew the co-pilot is an Ethiopian when I saw him. He flew for Ethiopian Airlines, Air Peace and now Etihad.
I really enjoy your content. To me, your humility and enthusiasm shine through. Unlike other ‘miles’ focused accounts, where they focus on ‘humble bragging’ about their premium class passenger experiences, I enjoy your attention to why aviators love to fly.
Started learning the pmdg boeing 777-300ER for my flightsimulator yesterday. Realy cool to see how it is done for real. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I worked at Etihad for 9 years and flew on this very plane many times (Tango Papa)……my favourite was our oldest trip7 Tango Alpha……when I left in 2017 our fleet was Alpha through to Sierra
Gabriel, I don't really like to fly - particularly takeoffs and rough weather - but I really enjoy the glimpse into the cockpits, and the calm professionalism of the pilots as seen through your camera lens. It helps with my confidence and my nerves when I board a plane. My son-in-law is a captain for SWA...he and I often discuss matters relating to SWA and aviation in general. I appreciate the dedication displayed by the pilots, crew members and ground and operations personnel. Gotta be in their DNA! KUTGW!
Been flying the PMDG 777-300ER for MSFS 2020...About 30 to 40 hours so far...Love this aircraft and excellent Video depiction....Interesting to compare the actual plane to the simulation...Good Job...
Great video I really enjoyed it. I am currently viewing step by step PMDG B 777-300 ER tutorials on a flight from New York to London and this real flight could not have come at a better time. Thanks for sharing.
The Boeing 777 is my favourite aircraft and like you mentioned it has the authentic Boeing executed PERFECTEDLY and not too cluttered like the old 737, boxy like the 747. tbh im not that much of an airbus fan but I feel the manual simplicity of the beasty 777 make it better than any airplane no matter how advanced❤
Of course Gabriel thank you Amazing 777 they will fly and fly. Really nice presentation let's see more when you are able thank you Onward 🌈 to blue skies
Pretty rough runway ! Sitting at the back of the aircraft, one does not appreciate how much work is involved in flying those beautiful machines. Great video as usual.
Suggest to point the camera at the instruments and displays when the captain is explaining in certain senarios. Overall a good and interesting video like the Finn Air one...👋
Great video as always! On a different topic - I've been following the rebuilding of Nuuk airport in Greenland. Are you planning to cover the opening of the extended runway and new terminal and other facilities. Would be a natural for your style of reporting. Thanks!
Yes indeed! Just left Greenland departing from the new terminal on the inaugural to Iqaluit. Will be back in November when they fly the A330 into the new runway as well!
I just had a 777 flight in April with a US carrier. Listen, if Flightradar24 needs positive feed back for videos like this it is easy to hit the thumbs up! A few thinks, it still amazes me that not only are you allowed on the flight deck but you get an in-depth conversation with the crew and of course Gabriel does a great job at that. Plus isn’t it incredible on how much pilots, of such a technically advanced aircraft, rely on iPads of some sort. Thanks - Jim
The iPads are by far the most modern thing on that flight deck. They've always had a system of some sort, be it paper of a fixed screen. The iPads offer the portable element.
Looking forward to this flight and the 787 which will fly me from AUH to Indonesia to start my exchange year on the 11th of july! First widebody for me🥹
Hi Gabe, I had a good time riding w/ you and the pilots in the cockpit. Cool that Etihad permitted it. About "old school", one of the things I like about my 2017 Camry LE (lowest trim level) is the oversized knobs and buttons for climate control/radio/CD player, and that it does NOT have a complicated infotainment menu and stuff like Apple carplay, stuff that I think distracts the driver from the business of *driving*. RogerC 7/7/24
Interesting that the RAD ALT is in white in the top right corner of the PFD. I usually see it in big white numbers at the bottom centre of the PFD between VREF and the MINS.
Captain - The only thing that's a bit of a problem, the wings are a bit short for the size of the plane. Dare him to put that one over the public address :D
just in time for the pmdg 777
Hahaha no wayyy, I thought of the exact same!
Ethihad hiring virtual pilot ?
right?
Just type “Etihad Vamsys” in Google, we will be happy to have you on board so you can fly exactly the same routes. I would post link, but it is not allowed.
Lol yes 😂😂
MSFS really looks realistic now. They even nailed the accent of ATC
Hilarious🤣
Roma rogger
Nope, look at how stable the real airplane is. The MSFS physics aren't this realistic. MSFS is unfortunately just about visuals!
@@jeluna that joke went completely over your head...
@@zZeus99z rogg
gonna recreate this route with pmdg 777 in msfs tomorrow.
same but 777 v2
I absolutely love that you included the interactions with ATC. Absolutely keep this format going
Love the ATC back and forth, it's one of our favorite parts of the whole experience!

I've become sort of nervous about Boeing lately (as many have), but the 777 is an unbelievable plane. A buddy of mine flies one for Emirates.
@@Christian-vq8rd Most suck for him knowing Emirates flies a so much better aircraft.
@IBo99608 He loves the 777, although yes, the other aircraft for him would probably be an A380 which I still see as the ultimate.

Awesome video! Nice to see a Spanish Captain in this flight!
Without a doubt, this is one of the best cockpit videos I’ve ever seen.
Absolute incredible video, and such great guys on the flight deck giving us so much interesting information. I thank you.

Great video. That Etihad in-house app for the iPad must be nice for situational awareness - the captain seemed to appreciate it, too.

Truly mesmerizing to watch the 777....Iconic
Amazing video! High level of professionalism of the captain in his explanations. Captain looks like a bit Di Caprio …

WOW! that was amazing!
“Old school Boeing feel”
What??? Can someone remind me what year we’re living in?
To be fair, this brown interior styling first showed up with the 757/767, in the 80s. It's been over 40 years.
Love this cockpit vids…..
Totally fascinating, what a great crew and explanations...... I never knew about the wing area relationship to altitude thing!
